The Celyn

The room was very comfortable, clean and had wonderful views of the mountains.  The bed was lovely and comfortable, and the breakfast was just superb.  Although quite a treck around narrow winding lanes to get there...it was definitely worth it.  Lovely family-run bed and breakfast...I would highly recommend it.  (Stayed 2 nights - 25th and 26th July, 25).

The hostess could not be more friendly and catered well for my gluten free needs. The location in Black Mountains is gorgeous but this results in no phone signal. We had the attic room which had low ceilings so will choose a different room next time.

Beautiful location and views, and verg helpful and responsive hosts! The beds were very comfy and the rooms were very clean and tidy. Great spot to explore some of the hills around

The Celyn is located in an outstanding rural position. From the moment you arrive Sarah and Paul were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was good sized, clean with outstanding views over the farm. The sheep and lambs were in the field in front and it was nice to see them. The bed was very comfortable and we slept really well. The cooked breakfast was very high quality and very tasty and worthy of the reviews I had previously read. Overall the Celyn is a credit to Sarah and Paul and we can recommend it as a top quality B&B .

Lovely location and stay

This property is beautiful and in an exceptionally beautiful location in the Brecons. The scenery is incredible.  The property was spotless and the hosts so accommodating, helpful and friendly. We ate at the lovely local pub and on our return the dark skies were incredible,  we could see the milky way!

A comfortable stay in a lovely location.  We enjoyed our brief visit and wish we could have stayed longer. As we don't eat breakfast the owners very kindly provided us with a generous packed lunch instead - thank you, Sarah and Paul, for your flexibility and kindness. We enjoyed a trip to the fascinating Llanthony Priory and charming Crickhowell which has a lovely bookshop and excellent organic shop. Dinner at the Crown in Pantygelli was amazing!

Very enjoyable stay

Great place. In the middle of the mountains. Absolutely gorgeous. Lovely family, super friendly and accommodating. Felt right at home. Room was very comfortable. The bed was very comfy and everything smelt really lovely and clean. Will definitely stay again. Brilliant Home made full English in the morning.

Couldn’t ask for anything better

We have stayed in many B&B's over the years.  This was by far the best. Location and setting stunning.  Accommodation and facilities excellent.  Quality of accommodation exceptional.  Eg. Large ensuite with bath, separate shower and bath robes to use. Bed king-sized,  storage excellent.  Plus all the usual tea, coffee and tv facilities. Breakfast was excellent,  including gluten free. The people who met us lovely and friendly,  and  couldn't do enough for you. On top of all that,  the price was excellent value.

B&B special

Stayed for two nights on a work trip. Fantastic location, beautiful views, the owners were really lovely and nothing was too much hassle. The list of instructions prior to arrival were a bit overwhelming but they are a busy farm and are using a belt and braces approach to protect themselves, and their guests. On arrival the warm welcome was lovely that overwhelming list of instructions, suddenly made sense. Looking for a reason to go back, from the comfy beds, hot powerful showers and superb breakfast, 100% recommend this B&B.

Stunning location and amazing hosts

Enjoyable stay for two nights.  Stayed in superior room which was large though only one chair.  Very clean property with good quality linen and towels.  Most helpful hosts especially for directions to the property, and ideas for walking and eating locally.  Breakfast taken in room because of COVID restrictions.

Lovely farm location

We were made to feel so welcome at The Celyn. Despite the necessary adjustments made due to Covid-19, we were very comfortable, had everything we needed (and more!), and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. As our first trip away after lockdown, we both felt really at ease and sure that everything possible was being done to make sure the guests were safe. The photos can't possibly do justice to the beauty of the surroundings - the views from our room were stunning.
