We were delighted to find our lodge was one of only 2 and far away from anyone/anything else. Lovely walks in nature around us. Very well kitted out lodge, one room with a king(?) size bed, one with 2 singles. One en suite, family bathroom separate. Spacious living room with kitchen and utility with everything you need. What's nice is that there are the little.things that we brought with us but needn't have, eg salt, pepper, dishwasher tablets, a tea towel. The lodge has a log burner, tvs, wifi (no phone signal) a few games, books and dvds. Bbq outside as well as table and chairs. The hot tub is lovely! I'd be very happy to come back another time, so glad we chose to come here.

Me and my family and our dog have had an amazing break away we stayed for 5 nights and we will definitely be coming back , Jenny the owner is lovely and goes the extra mile for you , the lodge has everything very well equipped the log fire adds a touch of quality and it’s lovely and clean. The hot tub is the icing on the cake after a long walk with the dog in the woods that’s right on your doorstep you can just chill out and enjoy the views and wildlife from the tub . My kids aged 10 and 6 loved making dens in the woods just behind the lodge . The lodge is enclosed so there’s no worry about escaping dogs  perfect chilled relaxing break . Highly recommended

The BEST holiday for couples and dogs! Chill out, see no one. Walks direct from the lodge. Private secure lodge plot. Peace. Views. Heaven. COVERED hottub really makes this place perfect as there's no need to worry about the weather!  Take all your food n booze with you, and there's no need to drive anywhere from the minute you arrive.

This is our fourth visit to Lower Fishpools & we will 100% be back.
The lodge is cosy, has amazing views and has everything you could need for a relaxing break.  The owner has thought of everything essential when away for home plus leaves some lovely welsh cakes to enjoy after the journey there. 
There are board games & DVDs to fill your time when you aren’t taking in the views from the hot tub (or any window you look through)
This lodge ticks all our boxes and we’d 100% recommend it for a restful break with beautiful walks on your doorstep.  Until next time :) Thank you

Me my partner and 2 friends stayed here for a long weekend, the travel down was a nightmare as alot of the area was flooded, we got lost and ended up in a Forrest stuck in mud we called the owner and she was great came out and found us with two men and pushed us up a hill and out of the mud, we cant thank you enough as we thought our weekend would be spent in the woods.
 The lodge itself was perfect very clean and had everything we needed for our stay, the location is perfect and views are amazing from the hot tub,  we had a relaxed stay and can not fault anything. Would reccomened to anyone interested in a nice chilled getaway

Fantastic stay...beautiful well kept lodge plenty of room for us four guests. Everything was clean and tidy. The hot tub was checked regularly and was in the perfect location providing stunning views over the hills. The sheep surround the lodge in adjoining fields and come quite close. plenty to do for all. Would love to return

We had a fabulous time here - lodge is really clean and has everything you need. A gorgeous location, especially as we took our Labrador and Retriever with us. The forest on the doorstep was beautiful and the hot tub was very welcome after a day out walking! Definitely booking again! The only thing I would say is, if you have big dogs the fence is not that tall ( has to be otherwise you’d miss the super views) so keep an eye on them especially if the sheep are in the field!
A few people have said about the lack of mobile reception - we are on the 3 network and had no problem at all. 

Stayed in December 2018 and this was the 2nd time I stayed at lower fish pools and me, partner and 2 pups are booked again for December 2019 and counting down the days.

Lovely weekend

A perfect getaway!

Had an absolutely amazing time here! The lodge and views are incredible. Great little getaway and nice forest walks with the dog. We will be returning next winter! 

Nice little touches - tea, coffee, sugar, milk and welshcakes for your arrival, along with treats for the dog. 
Towels are provided for the hot tub (I'd recommend taking a dressing gown too if going in the winter as the towels aren't very big) 
There is a small hairdryer in each of the bedrooms.
There are board games, dvd's and even a wireless speaker in the lodge. The hot tub also has a Bluetooth speaker! 
Good size fridge and table top freezer - perfect for the week. Along with microwave, dishwasher (tablets provided), washing machine and dryer.
There is little to no phone signal and no wifi - although ee network seemed to work fine there. We enjoyed the peace and quiet though. 
It's a 10-15 minute drive into town where there are a few shops incase you run out of anything.
 
I can't really fault the place. There are some minor issues like the bathroom doors don't lock properly. However, overall it is a stunning little home from home (actually much more spacious than anticipated). We will be returning. Don't hesitate to book here! I've stayed in quite a few lodges and this one comes out on top.

Was unsure what to expect after booking with hose seasons, as last year at another location was very disappointing.I was more than pleasantly surprised, looked much nicer than the photographs. Very clean, and had everything you could want. Very peaceful location, all you see is sheep. There are two lodges in the middle of a field. If you are looking for nightlife or things to do, then this isn't the place for you. Hot tub great, and even better that you are not overlooked. Fully enclosed by a fence which was great for our dog. We stayed here just to explore the area, and for a peaceful week, this was achieved. We met the owner whilst coming to check the hot tub, very friendly and welcoming. Tea, coffee, milk and welshcakes were awaiting us. There is a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher, we didn't use, but very well equipped. Even left fresh towels for hot tub. Considering we paid almost double last year for a very sub standard lodge, we were extremely pleased with everything, including the price. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Thank you!!
