Stayed with Brenda and Chris for years,we often there three times a year, wouldn't look anywhere else. They can't do enough for you, home from home. Clean and tidy flat. Short distance from all amenities,parking available, highly recommended .

I stayed here recently for a short period and from beginning to end I cannot fault any aspect. Brenda and Chris are lovely, very welcoming and helpful. I stayed in two of the apartments and both were lovely and clean with kitchen fully equipped, everything you need for a perfect stay. I was able to park my car at the property which was a major plus and the free WiFi was also an added bonus. All in all a lovely place and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the 'ivy' apartments to anybody else. Thanks Brenda and Chris. X 

As I was contracting and commuting a lot,I moved from the South to Blackpool for what was supposed to be a few months, but stayed way longer. The homely feel to the place,  Brenda and Chris are a lovely couple and provide a haven of comfort at very reasonable prices. I  stayed in two different apartments, one at front ( Greek theme ) and one at the back ( purple apt ). All apartments have separate bedroom, kitchenette, separate shower area, tv, wifi. Very convenient for shops, train, bus routes. It was very nice to know as a single female that the owners were in the building next door. They never invaded your privacy but were on hand if you needed anything. It is not meant to be the Hilton, and that is reflected in the price, but it is warm and welcoming, and provides everything you need with some lovely touches. Would highly recommend for longer or shorter stays. And don't forget you are a 5 minute walk from the promenade, 10 min to sainsburys, 10 min to train station, 10  min bus ride to St Annes /Lytham.  You will feel at home here, leave your diva at the door, this is a soulful place.

Have been to these apartments before. Never disappointed with welcome by Brenda & Chris.spotlessly clean apartment for 4 people with en suite & full kitchen facilities. Parking available & short walk to the beach & all new promenade. Perfect for short or long break, thank you.

I have stayed here 3 times in the last 18 months, once with my 2 young children and twice with my partner. We found all of the rooms we stayed in to be sufficient for our needs. Bunk beds for the kids were lovely and our double bed was comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed. The apartments were extremely clean and homely too. The landlords couldnt have been more friendly and helpful. Having read the previous review I am shocked as to how someone could have had that experience at this place, I can only presume they were a very unpleasant person themselves. I have never been told to leave the windows open, nor was the flat cold as we had access to the meter for our heating ourselves!!! This isnt advertised as a luxury hotel and isnt luxury hotel price either. For £120 for a week its perfect. Ive stayed in many guessthouses/apartments/hotels at all different prices and can honestly say this was well worth the money and would definitely recommend staying here. Chris and Brenda are a lovely couple.

We have stayed with Brenda and Chris for many years and they are always welcoming towards us. They are always helpful if we ever need somewhere to go or somewhere to eat. The flats are always spotlessly clean and all beautifully decorated and very homely. We usually stay in flat 1 which overlooks the street, beautifully se3t out.  Ideally located to shops and restaurants. There is also a bus sto nearby where you can get buses to nearby locations such as Cleverleys and Fleetwood.

Big thank you to Brenda and Chris for being so helpful and welcoming. Great location and spotlessly clean rooms. All you need in the room, and near to everything you want to do. Definitely recommend to stay here. Beach is fantastic, plenty of restaurants, lots for couples and/or families to do.

I found this place on the spareroom site. They advertise as a one-bedroom flat to rent in the Centre of Blackpool with a live-out landlord. Which is not quite the case. As the landlords live in the same building... Anyway.... Was going to give it like 3 stars for the amenities (I’m always fair in my reviews and I’d travelled all over Europe) however I’m struggling to even give it one star after what has happened to us this morning... The landlords didn’t want to give us our deposit back (£100!!!) - pretended they were asleep (at 9am, after us buzzing the doorbell for half an hour, hearing them coughing and talking) and probably hoping we’d leave without our money as they knew we had a train to catch. After a phone call to the police, the owner (who must have been standing behind the door listening if we finally gave up and had gone) suddenly appeared with our deposit - like a couple of seconds after me calling the police!!! I was shaken by the whole situation and personally will never return to that place.

However, emotions aside - the accommodation - it’s certainly not a one-bedroom flat. It’s more like a bedsit. On spareroom they advertise it as a family appartment but a family would struggle to fit in there - in the so-called ‚bedroom’ there’s one single bed, a single wardrobe and a chest of drawers. The bedroom is like 3x2 m2. The living room has a kitchenette and a futon sofa bed - very uncomfortable - and a chest of drawers. The ‚flat’ is very cold as the landlords keep saying the tenants have to leave the windows open at all times otherwise there will be condensation and mould on the walls (damp??). The heating comes on three times a day for a couple of hours and they’re saving on it, too, as the ‚flat’ (around 15 sq metres) never gets warm enough and there is just one radiator in the tiny living room - none in the ‚bedroom’ and there’s no heating in the bathroom at all. 

The flat and the whole house is quite old-fashioned, fitted carpets everywhere. The kitchenette in the flat is ok, there’s a microwave, a toaster, fridge-freezer, plates, cutlery, etc. and there’s a telly with all freeview channels. Wifi works sometimes.

We’ve paid £240 for two weeks there. Will never be returning to that place.
