Just home again from Saltwater House. We have stayed in many places but this certainly is No1. Debbie goes all out to make you welcome.The standard of the rooms are excellent. The breakfast is most nutritious ever tasted. We will be back again soon. A 100% satisfied guest WG Carryduff

Superb place to stay. The rooms were unbelievably comfortable and well kitted out. Bathroom also really good. Absolute luxury.

Views are beautiful. 

Breakfast choices and quality were beyond expectations too.

As for the hosts - Debbie and Richard were so friendly, welcoming and accommodating.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here in the slightest.

Stayed for 2 nights, everything was fantastic. The  shower was brilliant, hot and powerful, with accompanying comfy dressing gown and slippers. Bed was so comfortable and the breakfasts were amazing. The high quality choices were the best I have ever had. The overnight oats with almond butter, stewed apple, berries jam and coconut was heavenly. The Eggs Benedict and the full breakfast were both beautifully cooked. 
The hosts Debbie and Richard had fantastic locally knowledge from the distances of local beach runs to scenic walks taking in the Giant's Causeway. 
The sea view from the windows in the room and also the breakfast room gave some lovely memories.

We stayed for 3 nights in August. We received a very warm welcome from Debbie. Our room was lovely and very comfortable, with a sea view. I always love having tea and coffee facilities in the room and I really liked the bottle of water and biscuits in a jar too! 
Richard was our very friendly host at breakfast. We had a fantastic view of the beach and the sea while we ate the amazing breakfasts!! I think between us, my husband and I tried most things on the menu!! It really set is up for the day. Fantastic. 
The B&B was very week situated with a very easy walk down to the very long, very clean beach for a stroll and a paddle. It was also an easy walk along the seafront into Port Stewart. 
On our last morning we were even lucky enough to spot dolphins. 
Thank you Debbie and Richard so much for a wonderful stay. I'd love to come back sometime.

Absolutely delightful stay

Saltwater House B&B

It may be an award winning B&B but customer relations leave a lot to be desired and verbal assurance appear worthless!

In Dec 2017 I purchased a Strandeen gift voucher [Now rebranded as the Saltwater B&B] to take my mum away to relax as she was caring full time for my dad. With glowing personal recommendation and online reviews we couldn't wait to sample it for ourselves. We had planned to go sometime in September 2018 after the school holidays but unfortunately my Dad’s health deteriorated, necessitating several stays in hospital. On the 5th September 2018, he was given a terminal diagnosis and was sent home with pallitative care. We went about cancelling trips, etc. to focus on my Dad in his final days. I rang Debbie and explained our circumstances and advised it would be unlikely we’d be able use the voucher before its expiry date. She was very understanding on the phone and reassured me that under the circumstances it would be acceptable for us to contact her at a later date whenever it suited. My father sadly passed some three weeks later and shortly after his funeral, my mother broke her shoulder, for which she needed surgery. We contacted Debbie at the start of April 2019, when my Mum was well enough to consider a trip a way. Although Debbie was sympathetic to the situation she advised that we would be unable to use the voucher issued more than 12 months previously as per T&C despite her previous assurances it would be alright, but did offer us 10% discount on current room rates! As you can imagine I was very disappointed at this approach and expressed this in an email send to Debbie on 19 April 2019.  Having received no reply, I sent a further email on 16 May and am yet to receive a reply to either.Their current T&C state “Only under exceptional circumstances can an expiry date be extended (management discretion)” - was this not exceptional circumstances and are Debbie's assurances worthless?
