Spacious comfortable room, with great on site spa, room was a little warm even with heating off unfortunately. Bar was great with good food on offer!

Loved the Hotel and spa facilities, staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend for a short stay.

Amazing place to stay and the SPA facilities are great.

Stayed here last night with my job and definitely will be back such a clean tidy hotel and lovely staff and beautiful room  and the food was excellent  i will be back

Stunning location and facilities. A real gem of a hotel and one that I would happily stay at again.  The staff were impeccable. The room, memorable and the food and service, exceptional.

Everything was exceptional It would have been nice to have the outdoor spa facility included in your stay rather than a surcharge but that would be my only niggle we had a fabulous one night  stay

Had a lovely stay for my birthday, everyone was welcoming and we were happy with the room. Had breakfast in the morning, plenty of choice and very tasty. Second time staying and would stay again.

Beautiful hotel and spa with excellent service from all staff. Surpassed my expectations. The outdoor vitality pool was fantastic, worthy the extra cost, and the indoor pool was beautiful. I especially appreciated the ability to order drinks and have them delivered poolside, a really superb addition. Our suite was large and tastefully decorated with a beautiful bathroom and large free-standing bath. Our room was quiet and the bed extremely comfortable. Very clean everywhere. Superb staff, especially the bar waiter. We would definitely return.

We stayed in the Tower....deluxe room apparently.  Yes it was big but a few points to note..Kettle was across the room from the tea making facilities, would expect it to be with the facilities not to carry a kettle across the room.Bathroom door opened into bedroom..into the chair at the dressing table..not a good spot if using the table.  Had to move chair out of the way.Shower head holder..it was impossible to move the shower head down the holder, if shorter in height and it appeared to be held on loosely with one screw.Paper thin wall, could hear the tv very clearly and conversation when in bathroom from next door.Food and service..absolutely excellent.  Room a disappointment.

Not a deluxe room

Really lovely stay with good facilities and nice staff. My only complaint was that our room was next to the door way where we could hear everything in the corridor and there were people fighting outside in the middle of the night. So definitely avoid Clock Tower room 1. Also, it would be good if the spa could have a few more seated areas as we had to leave as there was no where to sit. We did come back later though and then we ended up having the spa area to ourselves. Would definitely stay here again as it was lovely, we just wouldn’t stay in the same room.

Beautiful hotel, great service and the Blok restaurant was very nice. Disappointing with such limited use of spa facilities, which we couldnt use due to the timing of our evening meal, amd breakfast. Overall a lovely hotel though, would stay again but be a little more savvy with planning to maximise the stay.One thing to bare in mind is the additional costs for your stay. £25 early check in, £18 breakfast (pp), extra cost to use the outdoor heated pool and, of course, treatments at circa £90pp each.Including food and treatments, a £160 hotel stay amounted to a £700 single night experience. So make sure you budget and time activities well to get the most from your stay 👍

Little anniversary break

What made it an excellent stay for us was the superb food in Blok and also wonderful breakfasts. And immaculate cleaning (tho the carpet in the suite could have used a good steam clean and sofa was faded.)  And comfy bed.Tho lovely and spacious our  suite was a bit strangely laid out. The tiny sofa was underneath the TV so you couldn't sit in it and watch TV. Yet the room was so large it could have easily fit at the foot of the bed. The wardrobe, tho large, had the dressers inside it so your hanging clothing made it difficult to get to the drawers.  And without a light, difficult to see. The bathroom had faux antique faucets on the sink with separate hot and cold water taps.  So you either burned your hands trying to wash  or you had to wash with cold water.  It would have been so easy to get that faux effect with a mixer tap in the middle .And the heated towel rack only fit one towel folded in half.Our family stayed elsewhere  in the hotel and there  were other suites more warmly and convivially laid out than ours.  But overall, it still was a lovely stay

The spa and brunch package was a perfect way to start our stay. Massage was spot on and almost put me to sleep. Outdoor relaxation pool was a great temperature to sit in and drink a little bit of the bubbly before tucking into a Chorizo Hash. Spent a little time in the bar in the afternoon before spending an afternoon binging Netflix in the room. Bar was well stocked with local beers and a cheeky unique beer from Germany I've not seen before.Evening meal at Blok was absolutely delicious. Shared a 1.2kg Tomahawk which was cooked to perfection. That Barolo sauce will live long in the memory. Do you serve it in pint glasses?We went for our 4th wedding anniversary and the staff couldn't say congratulations enough or go out of their way to make it a little more special. Can't recommend this place enough.

4th Wedding Anniversary Stay

As soon as we arrived at the hotel we were made to feel very welcome. I had informed the hotel that we were there to celebrate my husbands birthday, and when we got to our room they had dressed t especially for us, which was beautiful. Service, and food was amazing, and will definitely be returning. Thankyou to all the staff.

Beautiful property and surrounding gardens very pretty.Staff very very friendly in particular the Spa staff and Brandon in the lounge bar...food very good will go back to try Blok another time shame it was not open as the hotel was very busy with it being the Eisteddfod close by which could have been a good showcase for them?

Fantastic hotel. Interior deco is well designed. Booked a deluxe king suite with bath in middle of the room but ended up with a bathroom on a separate floor. The Bassett suite. Room must’ve been directly above kitchen as it smelt of cooked dinners for the majority of our stay. Booked a meal at the BLOK restaurant in the hotel. Fantastic 3 courses, although I did nearly choke on the meat string that was left in my steak. I did inform the staff but nothing was done.

It was a trip for my wedding anniversary. Absolutely stunning place and the staff were exceptional. The treatments were brilliant but a little pricey for what we had. The outdoor spa was great but could be open for longer as the weather was nice. The food I have to say was outstanding the personal touch by the chef was outstanding. I honestly can’t say enough about the food. Absolutely loved it. We had the tomahawk steak or my god the best I’ve ever had. We had chicken croquettes and cauliflower bites well the starters were heavenly. The experience isn’t cheap but if you want a treat this is the place to go. 5 star for me
