Myself and my husband came to stay in Peterborough for 3 nights has we are down to visit family and the owner is really nice and friendly and works hard to make sure your stay is comfortable and pleasurable and the food is nice and its near the town centre and its within walking distance and the rooms are nice anx clean and i would recommend this place for anyone.

A good standard small guest house.  It is clear that a lot of effort is made to keep the accommodation clean and running efficiently.  It had everything needed for a budget stay (WiFi, free parking, shop down the road, en-suite) and was walking distance to town. 

There was no waiting lounge but the lady at the hotel gave me a call to let me know my room was ready (before official check in time) when she saw me waiting outside - which was very thoughtful.   

Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.  Included at no extra charge.  I asked for Veggie and got basically what I would have hoped for. 

The only negative for me was a weird intermittent noise in the loft above my room.  I would stay again, I just might request a different room next time!

I booked a stay at this B & B at the last minute as I had to attend a meeting in nearby Market Deeping the following day and didn't want to risk road works and accident delays.
The price was only £45 including breakfast and it was easy to book and pay for online.  Communication from the proprietor was great and overall I found the stay to be very good value, with a comfy room and a delicious breakfast. The WiFi was very patchy and the shaving light didn't work, but that wouldn't stop me from staying in room 8 again as it is such good value and everything else was great.

This was my first visit to Peterborough and to the Charlotte House Hotel. It's an older Victorian house that is set up as a B&B. The accommodation is very affordable and the establishment reflects that. The room was compact and functional. The breakfast was pleasant and the lady who runs the place was very approachable. The location was a good 25 walk away from the railway station and a taxi ride was about £5. I cannot complain as I has an ensuite which was functional. The decor was a little dated and maybe could do with a renovation. Overall, not too bad!

Found this little gem of a place at short notice via an online last minute booking site. Although listed as an hotel, I would be inclined to describe it as more of a B&B. Nevertheless it was just perfect as a base for a spot of sight seeing and visiting family. The room was no bigger than it needed to be with a comfy double bed, tv, en suite shower room and tea/coffee making facilities. It was at the back of the property so no road noise and it over looked the dedicated, off-road parking. The place was well decorated and totally in keeping with the Edwardian villa style of the property. Breakfast was really good. Cereal, fruit juices, traditional cooked breakfast, toast and preserves and copious tea and coffee. Nothing to complain about here! Would use this place again and have no hesitation in recommending it to friends as a good place to stay. 

A great little hotel; we only stayed the one night, but would certainly return. Our room seemed to have been recently decorated and was spotlessly clean. The place is pretty convenient, just a short walk to the city centre. Excellent value.
