The room was excellent. Very clean and tidy. The building is a gorgeous Victorian villa. Convenient for buses into city centre, a ten minute journey. Make sure you get the day ticket, £3.50. This lets you take as many buses as you want all day. Breakfast was great and Marta and Alan were really helpful hosts. Will stay there again.

Booked the triple room. The owner was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was very good, lots of foods to choose from aswell as the traditional Full English. Non greasy and quick serving,  as check list order provided on arrival for next day. Twenty minutes walk in straight line to town centre.  Bud route on door step. Stunning view of arthurs seat from road. 

very comfortable, charming, and quiet guest house, not too far from main road. easy to catch bus or taxi into the heart of edinburgh (even walkable for those more fit/less tired). breakfast was very nice and marta was extremely accommodating. only downside is no wifi in rooms. we would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I had a really good time there! The host (really friendly Spanish lady) was very helpful. She gave us information about the best places to go, mentioned nearby high quality restaurants and was quite flexible with our breakfast. Between Teviotdale House and the city centre you will find a park, really good if you like or need to walk. There is one special thing, really simple but it really appeals and makes the difference for silly tourists like us (My Wife and I). They put flags of every guest nationality in a table at the entrance hall, this may sound useless for some but it these kind of details are very nice while you are travelling. I felt at home.

Stayed for three nights in a clean spacious triple room. Breakfast was excellent with much attention placed not only on the quality but also presentation of the food. We also enjoyed the caramel wafers and shortbread provided in the room. 
However, we were disappointed with the cleaning or lack thereof of the ensuite toilet during our stay. They could also do with bath towels that are in better condition than the ones made available to us.
