This was a simply sensational stay. The hotel sits in large grounds, with Arthur’s seat as a backdrop and a golf course and field full of highland cows adjacent. There was also a peacock wandering the grounds. Every room and area in the property is crammed full of magnificent, tasteful antique items. It is like staying in a museum. Our room had a large TV, excellent bathroom (bath and shower) and other usual amenities. The bed was big and very comfortable. We were told that all of rooms are styled differently. There was also specially selected champagne chilling in the room when we arrived. There are multiple living and drawing rooms where you can relax or enjoy food and drinks as well as two beautiful dining rooms. Service was excellent throughout. A magnificent stay.
