55 reviewsWe had a few problems with hotels on this particular day and came here as a last resort before returning home instead. We were able to get a parking space on site, (this is a luxury for torquay) We were met by a very humble and polite lady. we asked if they had any vacancies and explained our dilemma we had endured since arriving in the area that afternoon. We were directed up to room number nine. On the way I noticed some very large stand glass windows bot on internal and external walls. I remember thinking, this place has a lovely feel and character about it. Upon arrival to the first floor and into room number nine, i first felt a very light a spongy feel under my feet and instantly though I must remove my shoes. The carpet was so comfortable, we instantly requested to stay here. As we came back to reception to register our details, I noticed some very chique dark red looking old english Chesterfield sofa and chairs. I knew then we were in the right place. We had all the amenities we would want along with a bath, that did not take long for my partner to fill for her to have a nice relaxing soak. The was even an ironing board and an iron to hand if one desired the service. There were extra WC's on each floor which kept private time, private. On our way out we were met by the owner and another guest who were both equally polite and hospitable. They were full of complements to us and our vehicle. We showed equal admiration for the Hotel. The price was £69 for B&B which was very reasonable for this time. We slept sound and did not hear and other guest or the baby or children that were staying there at the same time as us. The breakfast was a continental style with brown and white bread for toast and rest juices and fruit and cereals. There was a selection of cheeses and jams for your own choosing. There was also a selection of crispy fresh croissants. Everything that was offered was all branded items and none to the lower priced items some hotels serve. Check out is 11am which ids later than we had seen else where but this extra hour after breakfast made all the difference. The owners were chatting to use for a while in their lounge after we had actually checked out. Great. There was no rush to turf us out which I found amazing hospitality. This was a very good quality Hotel that made us not want to leave. Perfect for families and couples. We will return.
