Appletorre House Holiday Flats

Thank you Andrea for not only opening your home to us, but also your heart and friendship. We literally could not of had a better stay for our wedding anniversary. Situated, a mere 15min walk from Torquay seafront, this 'Guest House' gives you it all. The rooms are unbelievably spacious, high ceiling and everything you would want in a self catering stay. The kitchenette is STOCKED ! In the fridge, fresh carton of milk, cartons of fresh orange juice, bottles of cold refreshing water. On the tea tray, biscuits, decent teabags, coffee bags, instant coffee a plenty. Every utensil you could imagine, every pot snd pan, tea towels, scourers, absolutely everything. Everything is luxury from the bed linen, 40"tv, curtains, everything!!. The bathroom, modern and spacious. Fluffy towels, an excellent hot shower, lotions. You want for nothing. Andrea herself, was very welcoming, a font of knowledge regarding Torquay. My wife has an ongoing medical injury but Andrea was on hand to inform us of all transport options to get out and about... and the best thing, she openly told us every penny of income is re-invested...and you can definately see the investment. The garden is amazing ! Numerous areas to sit and relax with a bottle of wine, dont go fof the cheap stuff !!! treat yourself to a bottle yout surroundings deserve. The garden is manicured to perfection, illuminated at nightime so Torquay, with it's challenges, can give you s glimpse of why it's called the English Riviera. This garden can transport you to the Mediterranean. At the bottom of the garden... is a chicken pen !! OMG....how I enjoyed these little buggers lol. All i wanted was a picture, but everytime I positioned muself to catch a picture, they would run after me. A suggestion Andrea, would you consider offering an honesty box in reception of chicken seeds etc, I would have loved to have fed them. Portion enough for a daily feed with a discretionary charge, would also add to their upkeep and I for one would be happy to pay for this little pleasure. Anyway, an amazing stay, WE ARRIVED AS STRANGERS, AND LEFT AS FRIENDS !!! Thank you to Sndrea and the team.We will definately be back very soon !
