Tattykeel House

Guest house is a modern build in old world charm. Just outside Killarney so need to have a car. Off street parking available. Very gracious interior with stairs to access rooms. Rooms very clean and comfortable with modern ensuite. Lovely view across countryside. Kathleen and Hugh were excellent hosts and very friendly and well organised. Excellent full breakfast. Lovely garden setting. Road nearby is very busy so care needed when exiting.

A beautiful house in lovely grounds and the nicest hosts ever.  So friendly and helpful. 

They have obviously paid great attention to ensuring the rooms had every possible comfort.   So windows that open, black out blinds, adequate plug sockets, lovely toiletries, very comfortable beds, Great choice of teas, coffee and biscuit in the refreshment area on the landing.  

It was like being a guest of friends rather than staying in a paid B&B.  They even gave us a lift into town and  were genuinely hospitable.  Stay here if you can.  It's great.  

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home surrounded by beautiful gardens. Kathleen and Hugh are so gracious and go above and beyond to make you feel at home. It is a quiet and peaceful retreat, but also very close to the center of Omagh and a great location for day trips. Kathleen is an artist and her work is displayed throughout their home but a visit to her studio is a must. Hugh can provide a wealth of information about Irish history and ancestry.  We highly recommend Tattykeel House!

Tattykeel is no longer the place we stay when we reach our destination.  It is our destination.  Kathleen and Hugh practice hospitality like a vocation and we are in the best company when we are enjoying cups of tea with them.  The house is beautiful, comfortable, and filled with interesting art.  Hugh provided invaluable guidance for my family history research.  We would have been content to sit enjoying the view from our room were it not for the promise of Kathleen's famous wheat bread  and nourishing breakfast at the  ready downstairs.  It is conveniently located to many sites but we found ourselves reluctant to leave the house!!

I would like to thank Kathleen and Hugh for the hospitality !
It was fantastic and I felt like a family member more than a customer.

Thoroughly enjoyable Stay in Tattykeel House

We attended the Ulster Park Bluegrass Festival on 28h May and stayed in Tattykeel.  
Kathleen and Hugh Ward make you feel that you are more than a guest in their home with their kindness, natural warmth and hospitality.  Their helpfulness to us in many ways during our stay was greatly appreciated. Their high standards are apparent in their beautiful house and gardens together with excellent choices for breakfast.  Staying with them (which we have done on a number of occasions) is part of the enjoyment of our visit to Omagh.  The service and accommodation in Tattykeel are better than some Four- and Five-Star Hotels we have stayed in recently. We would highly recommend Tattykeel House.

I wish to thank both Cathleen and Huge for the way they have looked after both myself and Mum (Jose). If there was five star+ they would get a 6 upwards as the standards that high. Both the garden and house are perfection and the warms you receive is just class.  I do hope to be back soon.

The highlight of our trip to Northern Ireland was our stay at the Tattykeel House B&/B.  Everything about it was great.  Our hosts Kathleen and Hugh were gracious and made us feel right at home.  We loved our room.  It looked out on the beautiful garden and hillside and Kathleen's splendid oil paintings graced the walls.   We were met in the morning with a lovely breakfast.  We hoped to gain an understanding of our Scots Irish ancestors and found that Hugh is an expert in the field of the migration of these people to America.   My husband and I highly reccomend the Tattykeel House!

Tattykeel would rank as the nicest bed and breakfast style accommodation we had the pleasure of staying at on a recent driving tour of Ireland.
Set in the most beautiful gardens and far enough back from a main road to be totally quite.
Hugh is well versed in Irish genealogy and went out of his way to assist in that direction.
Kathleen has her own studio for her painting.
Breakfast was excellent.

We have just spent 2 nights at this place. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, the food is excellent and the proprietors are very warm and caring people. The property is surrounded by the most beautiful gardens.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this B&B.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay in Tattykeel House

Our wonderful stay in Omagh at the Tattykeel House.

Absolute gem. Could not have chosen a nicer place to stay.

My Family and I were visiting our Uncle and had the honor and pleasure of staying at Tattykeel House this Thanksgiving.  We had the entire house!  Kathleen and Hugh were the most wonderful and gracious hosts... nothing was too much for them... the made to order Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful! Your every need is catered for and they have thought of every amenity from a special tea cart/snack and sitting area outside the bedrooms all of which are on the same floor to every possible amenity in the bedrooms and bathrooms... which are all very tastefully decorated!  The dining and living rooms are wonderful too with Kathleen's fabulous artwork adorning the walls!  Even though it was too cold to wander in the gardens they were lovely to look at! Kathleen also has an amazing studio for you to browse and purchase her amazing work.  Hugh is also a wealth of knowledge as far as genealogy is concerned.  Don't think twice if you are looking to stay in the Omagh area... My Family and I felt like we have made new friends and we will certainly be staying there on our next visit to my Uncle.
