I was attending The Greatest Gathering in Derby, so I needed somewhere to stay. Leaving it to the last minute like I usually do, there weren't many places left that were a) cheap, and b) within easy reach of Derby. This hostel was a lot better than I thought it would be: Joe was very helpful from the moment I arrived, showing me around and explaining everything carefully. My room was nice and secluded, and the bed was comfortable. The decor is nice and colourful, and the rooms have themes, which is a nice touch!I only stayed for one night, so it's a good "no frills" option to have if money is tight and you're only looking to stay for two or three days. It's located in the heart of the city centre but tucked away in a courtyard, so it's not too obvious! There are plenty of shops, pubs, and eating establishments nearby, so you have plenty of choice. And it's only a 10-minute walk from Nottingham bus and railway stations.
