Lovely overnight stay in opulent surroundings, a touch of luxury has been achieved by the wonderful hosts. Peaceful nights sleep and a filling breakfast completed the wonderful stay. The gothic theme was also evident in the garden , statues, box hedging and ornate cast iron furniture.

Wow, wow, wow!! This is a little piece of heaven tucked away in a beautiful rural location. This beautiful house is luxury from the moment you arrive, the design and layout is exquisite and echoes throughout the house in to the bedrooms. We stayed in the kings suite and it was breathtaking,  the room was everything we could of asked for and more. 
Huge thank you to Julie and Hugh on welcoming us on arrival with a glass of bubbly each and making us feel so relaxed and comfortable.  
We will be returning very soon and words don't begin to do this stunning house justice.   We were looking for a relaxing night away and Manor Court delivered with bells on. 
Can't wait for our next visit.

We really enjoyed our time here the owners are lovely and we had a good chat with them when we arrived. The room was amazing and very quirky which we loved. We had a very comfortable night sleep and breakfast was great 👍🏽 can't fault the place!

This was one of the best accommodations we ever had in England. An extravagant room and the house's own beautiful garden invited us to stay. We could relax very well and got very interesting tips from the nice owners. An exquisite breakfast let us start very well into the new day.

Best 40th birthday ever did the spa at Eden hall in day then stayed at manor court the most loveliest hosts nothing was to much. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING I’ve only just arrived home and all I want to do is go back absolutely beautiful. Everything was perfect what this lovely couple have created here is gorgeous xx

Gothic meets luxury. Amazing accommodation with warm welcome from the hosts. Kings suite awesome blew us away. Peaceful & quiet. Nothing too much trouble.  Candlelit breakfast finished off a perfect stay. We will be back

This place is stunning, the attention to details in the property is amazing. Booked for husbands birthday as a surprise. Jule made me aware of deals on the room, recommended a nearby restaurant even offering to book a table for us. We were greeted with a bottle of Prosecco and shown to our suite. The kings suite is just stunning room at the tops of the property in a gothic decor. It really was a luxury for a get away. The hosts make us feel welcome and we didn’t feel rushed to check out the day we left. We will definitely book again. 

The owners of this place made last minute changes to accommodate us on our way down from Blackpool.  We had been holidaying in the Lake District when my husband suffered a major heart attack and ended up undergoing open heart surgery. There was no way he could make the trip back to Norfolk in one go, so at extremely short notice our hosts made space for us to stay. They could not have been more kind and more helpful,  just superb. The place was also stunning, the food fantastic and the peace was most welcome after a 3 week stay in hospital. Highly HIGHLY recommend.

My boyfriend had booked this as a surprise and when I walked into the Kings Chamber I was speechless! Everything is beautifully medieval and gothically decorated, the bed is enormous and so comfortable. Lots of little touches that didn’t go unnoticed and we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. Literally felt like royalty when we came down for breakfast, everything was delicious and presented perfectly. The host Jules and her family were very friendly and we loved chatting and sharing stories. I wish we had more time to spend there.

On arrival we were warmly  greeted by the hosts and offered a complimentary drink.
Our whole experience was truely fantastic, from the beautiful unique room, wonderful breakfast and lovely hosts,  would highly recommend,  and would definitely return . Thank you  for your hard work and lovely stay

A Gothic Girl’s Dream Getaway 🖤

This place is stunning and needs to be experienced ,we stayed in the kings suite and its even more stunning than the pics ,the whole place is to be honest the minute you wall in the door you are meet by everywhere being candlelight which was beautiful ,and the hosts introducing themselves with a glass of fizz ,after a chat we were shown to our room which definatly had the wow factor ,apart from going out to dinner we stayed and chilled in the room ,we didnt wamt to leave it as it was so beautiful ,breakfast was  spectacular the table was set out very grand ,very in keeping with the place ,food was cooked to order and was so good ,nothing is to much trouble and attention to detail on every aspect is impecable , we will be returning to stay in a diffrent room and i cant recommend this place enough to everyone if you are lookomg for somewhere with the WOW factor this is a must xxx

WOW WOW WOW. First I would like to thank Julie and hugh  for going above and beyond in making us feel so welcome. We were greeted  with a lovely smile  and a bottle of prosecco.  We spent time getting to know each other. It wasnt here is your key i will show you to your room. A real personal touch. Then the door opened to our room the queens suite.  It just shouted luxury.  The bed the  sofas the bathroom.  The decor. Like I said just WOW.  The whole building is absolutely  amazing.  We met another couple at breakfast for a brief moment ,there faces  told me they'd had the same experience  has us. So what I'm trying to say is treat yourself you really won't be disappointed. Just book it

Honestly don’t know where to start with this hotel. We stayed for one night in the Kings Chamber and honestly we really did feel like royalty here. The grounds, the building the little details all make the place seem like you have walked into a fairytale. No part of it felt eery or outdated like some places can. This is complete class and tranquility in a beautiful setting. This was another world to anything that we had ever seen. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! I always have trouble tossing and turning at night. I slept like a baby here. The freestanding bath was lovely as was the decor and the detailing. It was also lovely to wake up and have a lovely view of the pony’s outside being fed. The breakfast was amazing! Cooked to your requirement and I was so impressed by the local produce used and again all the personal touches. You can tell immediately how much the owners have put their heart and soul into the place and that it’s more than just a business. I felt very welcomed immediately by both of them. Will definitely be returning. We have a honeymoon blues type feeling already and really want to come back. To anyone hesitating booking this place-DONT! Best place I’ve ever booked!

Not just a hotel- a complete regal experience !

We checked into the Manor court hotel with me being none the wiser of where I was being taken, the house on the outside as you pull into the driveway is very beautiful, lots of little garden touches around like stone gargoyles, cherub lined pot plants and stone features. Before we were even out of the car fully, a friendly faced gentlemen was waiting at the door to welcome us in, Hugh is one of the owners of the place and he very kindly poured us a glass of Prosecco on arrival when we were joined by his wife Julie. They were very happy welcoming and friendly and made us feel at ease, we were then shown to our room which was on the top floor.

The room was heavily themed as what I could only describe as gothic church/castle vibe. The room was rich purple and dark colours, over sized iron chandeliers, stone effect wall sculptures and for frames and stained glass effect windows. There is a free standing roll top Bath between the sitting area of the room and the bed area, the bed was of an impressive size and stature and was clearly custom made (see pics). The tea tray in the room was very well stocked, full of different flavour teas, hot chocolate and coffee, there was the option of milk sachets as well as Hugh providing us with a mini flask of fresh milk which was a lovely touch.  

Overall the room felt like we had walked into a section of a film set, definitely unique and something of an experience.  There were reproductions spears and weapons, mounted deer/stag heads and all the bits you would expect to find in a castle style bedroom. 

We went out for dinner in Nottingham which was fun, and when we arrived back we were greeted but Julie, we had a little chat and retired to our room, there was a storm that night but we still slept well, the bed was comfy and the mattress decent.

I’m the morning we went down for breakfast at 9, the dining room was done out in a kind of renaissance style with modern bits here and there, not particularly my taste but that’s all subject to personal preference. There was a little buffet bit on the side with cereals, yoghurt etc.
And Hugh was quick to bring us our pot of tea. We were provided some nice chinky slices of toast, and ordered our mains off the menu, we both had the eggs Benedict with bacon and spinach which was so well cooked by Julie. Hugh brought us some Buck’s Fizz too which was lovely!  Overall the stay was really good!  

However there are a few points of constructive criticism we would like to say, the toilet in our room had no door, and maybe some people wouldn’t care about that but for us we don’t want to hear or smell any bathroom activities  from one another, the room only has a bath which for people with physical disabilities or like me being a large woman is a problem so I had to have a strip wash, maybe the “closet” where the robes hang could be turned into a walk in shower? Some of the finishes of the room were not great such as paint hadn’t been done very well so made it look a little shabby, the stone effect statues are damaged/have fingers missing etc. side tables next to the bed are not very stable and at the bottom of the stairs there are three plastic. Skull things on the wall and one kept falling off, seemed a bit unnecessary and took away from the room a little. There must have been a curtain separating the bedroom at some point because there seems to be the torn remnants of it still clinging onto a painted plank that runs along the top of the stone effect statues, in our opinion it would be better to just remove the plank if the curtain isn’t going to be put back. 

The breakfast table was pretty but having gold plastic platters for the plates to be served on takes away from the “class” level, my side plate was damaged with a chunk out of the side/cracks, all tiny things but put together just takes away from the experience a little.  The last thing we did think is that the word hotel shouldn’t really be attached to the place, it’s more of a boutique B&B, especially with the hosts there and breakfast being communal. 

Would definitely stay again though, well worth the experience.

A unique experience

Without doubt this building is special. A warm welcome, great breakfast and comfortable accommodation are all part of this amazing experience. As a theatre professional I loved the details throughout. Although this house is built from scratch, the thought, love and care that has gone in to it gives it a real feel of age and period. A real treat for special occasions and run by very friendly and attentive couple.
