My son in law booked two double rooms, one for my husband and I and one for themselves..... the room are decorated to a high standard by are still very homely with lots of little touches that make you stay relaxing and special, it's spotlessly clean!
The breakfast choice is fantastic and beautiful cooked.
Would definitely return 🤗🤗

Spent three days in Lincoln and shared a twin room at the Gables guest house. Room was spotless and well decorated, breakfast was superb and a varied choice offered. I couldn't believe how reasonably priced our stay was. Given a discount for staying three nights.

Excelent - fabulous facilities & excellent breakfast. The only negative was they finish serving breakfast at 8:45 even on a Sunday!! No lie in on tis lazy weekend

A lovely place to stay . Was made to felt really welcome  . Breakfast was great . Parking was good . On the main bus route so you don't have to take the car into Lincoln.  Room was clean and tidy spacious. Would highly recommend 

It has been a few years since our last visit to Lincoln and to stay at the Gables. It was as if we had never been away! We stayed in the Self Catering apartment but breakfast was provided in the guest house itself. The apartment is like home from home and has everything you need from Microwave to full cooker. Hilary & David are most welcoming and accommodating and the breakfast is varied and the full English will certainly keep you going during the day!  Highly recommend.

The guest house was great good food very very clean in a nice part of Lincoln, the owners were very friendly and made us feel at home and at ease. In all a very pleasant stay in a nice part of the country.

Stayed two nights and enjoyed the room, loved the breakfast and found David and Hiliary to be very friendly and helpful. They certainly helped us get into Lincoln the easier way (public transport). The rooms were very clean and with good facilities. If anything was an issue then it is on a busy road, however this was not really a problem. Would very happily recommend this B&B

Second time staying here - we are regular visitors to Lincoln but this place is not always available; we were lucky this time. Wll remain first choice.

Gave us a map and bus times, local pubs which the meals were tasty. Lots to see and plenty of shops.

What can I say other than 'perfect.'  This guest house offers excellent, professional, friendly service and first class modern facilities with some additional nice touches, such as fresh coffee making facilities in each room.Parking excellent and WIFI also very good.  Breakfast fantastic.I loved this place and the lovely hosts.  Hope to be back.

Great place to discover Lincoln

Having travelled for 3 hours beforehand, I was pleased to locate the guesthouse, and the reception was friendly. Room 2, a single room, was adequate, with few areas for improvement. Notable would  be the poor digital TV reception for BBC 1, though other channels were satisfactory.Minor issues include difficulty in utilising a power socket to recharge a cellphone - the only available sockets (kettle and coffee maker) are partially obscured by the dressing table.The Bathroom was clean, and the hot water plentiful and swift. The only niggles were the toilet  seat not remaining upright (not a problem for ladies) and the wash basin plug slowly leaking whilst one shaves (again, not a problem for female guests).Breakfast was excellent, and checkout most efficient.According to the sign outside, the business is up for sale.

Room 2 is for the ladies.

Lovely guest house, excellent facilities.

Had a lovely weekend in Lincoln which was enhanced by our stay at the Gables. Whilst not in the centre of Lincoln, it was only a short bus trip (£2.30) away. A taxi back in the evenings was £6.30 from the bus station. We stayed in room 1 which was on the front of the house, but didn't experience any road noise at night. They do provide ear plugs if you are a light sleeper....great idea. Breakfast choice was wide and the food was well cooked. We ate in Lincoln the first evening but the second tried a local pub which was fine, but be aware they only serve until 8pm. There are several eating establishments in easy walking distance.Would we stay again?......definately.

Great Guest House.

This privately owned and managed little B&B is a gem.  It is located conveniently in the Lincoln suburb of North Hykeham, on an easy bus route that goes straight to the heart of the ancient city, but not so close that you have to work to get out into the country and walk around in nature.  The owners are proud of their work, warm and welcoming, and are happy to offer as much guidance about the area and activities as you care to learn.  The room was of a reasonable size and was comfortable.  The WC was larger than many we've experienced, and the shower was large enough to fit two in a rush.  We thoroughly enjoyed David's cooking in the mornings and didn't miss a single breakfast.

Friendly B&B with easy access to city of Durham

Lovely B&B with friendly hosts, rooms were good sized, clean and well furnished. Shower room/on-suite although a little small for some was good, with generous sized quality towels. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great and freshly cooked to order. The hosts made you feel welcome and would recommend this B&B to anyone staying around the Lincoln area.

The Gables provided us with comfortable, spotless and well-appointed accommodation. The breakfast was excellent and we thoroughly appreciated the choice of eggs benedict: a delightful change from the standard full English! We enjoyed our stay.The Gables is on the outskirts of Lincoln and the traffic into and from the historic centre of the city can be extremely heavy at some periods of the day. Allow lots of time for a visit to the Cathedral!Choices for an evening meal within walking distance are limited.

The Gables B&B is a very clean, modern eco friendly and comfortable place in which to stay. Hilary and David are very welcoming proprieters and have provided a lot of extras such as coffee machines, ceiling fans, a small fridge, microwave and laptop free wi-fi for guests to use. We had a lovely front en suite room which looked out onto the main road and was a bit noisy at times. We enjoyed beautiful and delicious cooked breakfasts. We thought it was good value for money and would highly recommend this B&B
