We stayed at this hotel as the location was ideal for us.  Room was clean and tidy, breakfast was superb value.  All staff were very efficient and pleasant during our stay.

Had a 2 night stay for a family party we had 4 rooms and I have to say we had a fabulous weekend, the hotel was lovely and we were so well looked after .. we were looked after brilliantly by Holly and the other 2 receptionists .. breakfast was freshly cooked and lovely on both mornings.. we will return , but hopefully just 2 of us and not with all our offspring in tow !! .. thank you Premier Inn York North

A great place to stay. The staff, Anya and Caitlin in particular, were so helpful and friendly. York city is an easy 30 minute walk away or you can catch a bus from outside the hotel. The breakfasts are served in the hotel - no walking to the pub.  I will definitely stay here again.

Large free car park available , next to a lovely country style pub.
Easy walk into York centre took 45 mins but there are buses if youdont want to walk. 
Quiet location so no noise from outside. Very clean and comfortable room as always from premier inns. Would recommend. 

The Premier in was great, located just on the edge of York within easy access of the centre. The room was nice, the breakfast was really good far better than the normal Premier Inn quality. The staff were very helpful and friendly, noting was to much for them..

My partner and I stayed here on a Saturday evening and had a fantastic time. We had spent the day in York city centre, and were looking for a relaxing place to spend the evening and recharge our batteries. This is perfect! We enjoyed a fabulous meal in the Dormouse next door. We had a lovely sleep in the comfy bed, and we loved the breakfast in the adjoining restaurant, which provides excellent service and hot food cooked to order. Parking is free, and the location is excellent for York city centre and out of town attractions/retail parks  too. Well worth a visit. We can’t wait to return.

Great new room apart from grey slider chair.  Looked good but totally not disabled safe. Issue ably sorted our by Alex.
Helped to arrange birthday surprise for my friend by Victoria Bilton who is a diamond in Premier Inn staff. First return post pandemic.  Was so good to be back and see all the friendly faces again.  Nothing is too much trouble. Staff make you feel at home.

Very helpful.we checked out at Monday.been there over night.the breakfast was lovely.you could either have a full breakfast or continental. We had the
Full breakfast verynice.you could also have unlimited drinks.staff so helpful.we were atuctully I  the building for our breakfast.as also the pub called the doormouse which is nothing todo with the Premier Inn.

A comfortable hotel about 1.5 miles outside the city centre near to a park and ride bus stop. Buses run from 7:00am - 10:30 pm. Had everything we needed, plenty of free parking, easy check in and a pub on site.

Upon arrival the first thing you saw was smiling staff I can't give it anything other than 5 stars because all the staff was so friendly and helpful and approachable from start to finish the breakfast wS so fresh cooked to order the rooms was clean and fresh if I was going back to York would definitely book in there again I truly hope Premier Inn values all the staff within this hotel

Fantastic weekend

We stayed here during the outbound leg of our Scotland Road Trip for 2 nights between the 3rd - 5th of September.
Not much to say, which is a good thing. We had a standard Premier Inn room, it was moderate sized, clean, comfy bed. We did unfortunately have a rather strong smell of bleach (or other cleaning chemicals) in our room which lingered for most of the first night, when we mentioned this to reception we were informed that our room was the last one to have been cleaned (hence the smell), to be fair the smell did dissipate by the following morning and wasn't a big deal.

We stayed here again for 1 night during a return leg from Scotland on the 11th of September, however this time we booked a Premier Inn Plus room (£20 more than a standard room). To be fair the plus rooms are much nicer than the standard rooms, they have more fancy things (mood lighting, coffee makers etc..) but they also have climate control which was very nice, allowing us to keep the room at a constant temperature which ensured we weren't too hot, nor too cold (unlike most air conditioning).
I would recommend paying the little extra to get a plus room in future. 

Also the pub across the car park (The Dormouse) does serve lovely food and is well worth a visit (advisable to book in advance though).


Got what we expected

The staff at Premier Inn York North were very welcoming when we arrived. The receptionist who booked us in was also very helpful and friendly. 
The hotel is ideally situated for spending time in York city centre.  Once we'd parked our car, on arrival, we didn't use it the whole time we were there.  Car parking in the city centre is expensive.  The bus stop is less than five minutes walk away and the journey time to the city centre is about 15 minutes.  Bus frequency seems to be every 10 to 15 minutes and even though my wife hasn't qualified for her National Bus Pass yet, the bus fare was very reasonable.

My husband and I stayed here 6/7th September.  Lovely welcome from reception. Got to room and were delighted to see there was a fan on full force and curtains closed due to the heat. The room itself was a typical Premier Inn room. 
We headed out to the bus stop to head into town. So handy.
The shower needs some tlc. 
Loved being able to have the window open as some Premier Inns you can't open and that makes it very claustrophobic.
Breakfasts are so worth the money whether it's cooked or continental.  So much to choose from. Lovely fruit salad, or berries. Delicious croissants. More than enough food to fill you up. 
We would come back here as we still have a lot to see in York. Would go for the Premier Plus though. 

Ideal hotel location for buses to York City

Arrived mid-week  for a two night  stay .
Met by receptionist  Alex who was very pleasant and told us she had allocated us a room 120 which was a ground floor in a quiet part of the Hotel. 
Found the room to be clean and was as stated  a quiet room .
A bit dated but carpet clean furniture  too unmarked and the bed was as expected  of a premier hotel. 
We had breakfast  both days and the staff there were competent and put us at ease .
Your want for hot food  was taken and made for you
Plus you helped yourself  to cereal and fruit juice  yoghurt and fresh fruit too and tea and coffee plus bagels croissants and a toaster  with white and brown bread .
Excellent  food cooked as you would want and the quality  too was excellent  .
Cost £9:99 and it was excellent  value 
Can't understand how people can criticise what you get for what you pay .
Came by train and bus number 2 Rawcliffe Park and ride  from outside the railway  station and it takes about 15 minutes to the Hotel  bus  stop .
Here I have a little gripe as the bus stop is a couple of hundred yards up or down from the hotel and unless you walk in via the road you have to ho the quicker way via the grass in front of the Hotel 
As it is much much shorter but on muddy days not a walk you would want to make 
À said staff were very pleasant  and couldn't do enough for you and would visit again as its prices are very reasonable  during the week .

Location is good for touring York city, we downloaded the Uber app and used them for transport £6/£7 each way which isnt too bad. We stayed in a premier plus room which has coffee machine, kettle, hairdryer, iron and ironing board and a hairdryer. Shower was grubby with mould around the head. There is tea and coffee available at reception you can pick up some more if needed for the room.
The walls are extremely thin…. On arrival you can imagine what we could hear in the corridor trying to locate our room….. Can also hear the room next door having a conversation gone midnight so a sleepless night for me. 2 stars lost due to both noises heard
