The Bandstand

Second year coming to the bandstand would highly recommend. The staff are wonderful and the food is very good. Wonderful stay can’t wait to go back

Great views, excellent food and fantastic staff.

Outstanding view from the room we had. Some parts of the property could do with refreshing e.g. the stair carpet and some of the dining room furniture.The property does not have its own parking, but street parking was available. In spite of this we had a good stay with good food.

The owner was so helpful on places to go and the atmosphere in the bar was upbeat. They had live music

Cute, clean rooms on top of a pub. Beautiful view of the water (we stayed in room 9). Surprisingly quiet for being on top of a bar!

Despite a bit of waiting on my check in as they couldn't find the key. The staff was very friendly and the fact that they have a pub made the moment very pleasant. The room was ok. Confortable bed and lovely views to the sea. Good breakfast with sea views. Sad I couldn't stay for another night as they will have live music.

We booked a single night to rest between leaving Edinburgh and a slow trip down the Great Glen. What a wonderful surprise. The Bandstand is a lovely small inn & pub.Friendly staff, comfy room & great location. We actually regretted leaving after only one night. Nairn is a lovely and quiet town. We would definitely stay again. Be aware- all rooms are upstairs and there is no lift- which we’ve found to be typical in Scotland.

Start of Great Glen trip.

Stayed here for a few days recently. Room/bed was very comfortable, but we couldn’t get a signal on the TV. We only wanted to see the news in the evening so it wasn’t that much of a miss. Staff were very pleasant and enjoyed a laugh. Food was good and the snug/bar area was very cosy with a log burner. We stayed in room 7 which had a superb, uninterrupted view of the sea. Would recommend The Bandstand Hotel to anyone visiting Nairn.

Very comfortable Hotel

We came back for a weekend after discovering the Bandstand as a restaurant earlier in the year.  It amazingly combines a great community venue, very comfortable hotel, fine dining restaurant, excellent bar meals, good music, and a great welcome to visitors. Coming at Hallowe'en we would have been welcome to join the lively party (great decorations, and the owner is a skilled drummer!!), but chose not to.  The quality of music was excellent (calling it the Bandstand is very clever!), but we were given a peaceful room where we were not at all disturbed. It is tremendous to experience such high quality and accommodating service - and a genuine feeling of welcome - at such a difficult time for the hospitality business.  The Bandstand's own beer (brewed by the Cromarty Brewery) is great too! 
As a hotel, bar and/or restaurant, we'll be back!

Excellent food, friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable room with beautiful views, great music and atmosphere.

Had dinner here 3rd Oct with Husband and our dog . Staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Didn't catch the guys name with the glasses) But he has excellent customer service skills. Another female staff member brought dog treats immediately for Frank. (DOG). DRINKS were enjoyable. Food was delicious and plentiful. We'll presented and piping hot. Will return on our next visit to Nairn. Hope its not too long! Thankyou!

Worth a visit!

On arriving in Nairn on 29/7/21 To be greeted for very wet weather. This was around 11am  We saw The Bandstand Hotel so went to see if we could get a hot drink and attempt to dry out. The manager explained he was unable to serve alcohol until 12pm. Last thing on our mind but he allowed 10 very wet humans into his establishment. We can't thank the manager enough for his hospitality. 
After 12pm we did have a few wee one's to warm our inner soul. Thank you from the 10 drowned rats.

Visiting Nairn

Just spend a few days in Nairn at the Bandstand pub/hotel.
From start to finish we were treated by a friendly staff who were attentive and helpful in every way. 
Room 9 on the top floor but not a hard climb!!
A huge room and massive soft bed. Great sleep. 
Breakfast excellent,  attended to by Linda, lovely person, nothing a problem,  speedy service, hot milk for your cereal, hot toast, and a bfast to die for. 
Unfortunately never got chance to have dinner as out all day and forgot to book table for night time,  fully booked, says it all. 
Would we go back, most definitely,  Paul the owner is always on hand,  will even move his big 4x4 to give you parking space and bring your luggage in. 
Overall a most enjoyable experience,  thanks to everyone,  bar staff are lovely chatty people as well.

A great time at the Bandstand

Wonderful people run The Bandstand. It's cheerful, charmingly appointed and in a location second to none in town. Paul and his team are very caring and took over the business not so long ago. They were redecorating the public areas during my stay, which makes me think the hotel is only going to get more pleasant.

Cheerful, charming, caring

Had a lovely stay with the team at Braeval/bandstand hotel! Considering they had 24 hours notice of the new Covid restrictions they set up an outside drinking and eating space with heaters meaning I could stay outside chatting away to the locals and having good Scottish beer and whisky. The steak pie was right up there as one of the best I’ve ever had, made fresh every day!

It is the staff however who make this place, I met everyone from the owner to the waiting staff and the chef, and to a person everyone was so friendly and welcoming! Reconditions galore and some great local produce tried! The room was more than adequate for my night away golfing with a nice shower and a great view of the sea to wake up to! It’s just a shame the government wouldn’t allow for live music as suspect it would have been a brilliant though much later night! Thanks team Bandstand!

Great staff and great food!

First ever visit for my wife and I - liked it so much making a speedy return. Super friendly & efficient staff. Great room with terrific view right across the Links and the Fifth, watching the world go by. Food was delicious, marvellous breakfast, & delicious evening meals. Every member of staff we came across was friendly, smiley and helpful. 
Nice atmosphere about it, very relaxing, top marks.
