It was an amazing short stay in this lovely family run hotel with great spacious, comfortable, clean and great bedding. The cooked breakfast was so good and delicious. Highly recommend for a nice relaxing treat.

We had a weekend here but wish we could have stayed longer. We received a very warm welcome from the hosts.Our room was spotless and our bed was extremely comfortable. Our breakfast each morning was delicious. Especially the porridge! Can highly recommend staying here! 

Lovely country house short distance from A39 coast road set in beautiful countryside

We very much enjoyed our second visit to Cedar House and it was the perfect place to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. Kay and Eric are very friendly and welcoming, and full of interesting information! Our room was comfortable and spotless, and we loved the view to the hills and sea, and it was a bonus to watch the steam trains go by. The breakfasts at Cedar House are superb, there is probably a wider choice of food there than at the Savoy or Ritz! The garden provided the ideal spot to relax and unwind. We can’t wait to come back!

Superb bed & breakfast accommodation.  Hosts were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, with a lovely view, long deep bath and a very comfortable bed. Breakfasts were superb with lots of choice. My wife particularly loving the fresh pancakes. Thank you Eric & Kay for a lovely break. Will come again.

My health condition means I can have difficulty sleeping - bed was super comfortable and I was able to sleep like a log!
Breakfast was a real treat - catering for vegetarians & meat eaters. 
Hosts Eric and Kay were helpful and  really friendly.

What a lovely place to stay - the owners are fantastic couldn’t do enough for us.

Eric and Kay were the perfect hosts; nothing was too much trouble for them. They advised us on where to go, what to see and how to get there. The breakfasts had a large choice, all freshly cooked and the rooms, especially Room 2 where we stayed, had fabulous views over the sea.  Thank you ERic for your fantastic breakfasts!

Everything you want from a B & B

We had a truly wonderful stay at Cedar House with Kay and Eric who are wonderful hosts. Our room was spacious and spotless!  Our shower was a nice size, and the water pressure was excellent.  It was the best shower of our 16 days in England!  Kay and Eric are so helpful with maps, dinner reservations, ideas of how to plan days.   The breakfast is delicious and each day you receive an order form for the next morning. It works really well.  All the 5 star ratings other travelers have given are spot on. Cedar House deserves each one!  

Excellent place to stay near Dunster and Minehead

What a fabulous place to stay to enjoy the area. Great hosts. Very hospitable to personal requests. We attended a wedding nearby and we were able to get ready easily for a special occasion. Plenty of space to hang outfits. 
Bed very comfortable. Cleaning standards very high . Plenty of tea/coffee/biscuits facilities in room. Fabulous homemade breakfast freshly served. 
Spectacular views. Greatly value for a 5 day stay. 
Plenty of local walking paths and places to visit. Local nearby pubs serving good value food. Steam trains and castle with working flour mill all great to visit.
Quiet location , very peaceful and calm. 
Will happily return for another visit. 

Cedar house. A Great place to stay . 

Midweek stay Tue-Thurs. Chcked in Tuesday night and was welcomed by Eric. Lovely man. I was looking for a place to stay to enable me to switch off from evey day life and pressures of work and life. The stay here definately allowed me to do that. The b&b is comfortably furnished, bed was very comfortable, shower is powerful and hot. Room itself is comfortable. There is a tv in the room but i did not put it on to see the quality. Bfast, was plentiful. Eric was very accomodating, frequently asking if i needed anything else. 
Logan is beautiful happy dog, not really a dog lover but hes to cute.
The grounds are beautiful, scenic and present a tranquil setting. I was able to sit in the garden for hours without being disturbed. 
Ideal location to access the beach or to go for walks in the hills.
Planning my next visit already.
Kay is wonderful and will do anything to make your stay comfortable.

Lovely stay at this beautiful B&B

We have just had 4 lovely, relaxing days in this lovely B&B, the welcome is very warm from Kay and Eric, nothing is too much trouble for them. We were in Room 3 which had stunning views, was spotlessly clean, very spacious and comfortable.  Lovely garden with seating  area for a nice sit down after being out and about.  The choice for breakfast was excellent, everything you could want, my husband enjoyed the full Somerset and I loved the poached eggs on toast, perfect.
Kay and Eric were very helpful, booking evening meals in the local pubs and providing ideas for places to go and even drawing little maps to help. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful house in a stunning setting

My wife and I very much enjoyed our short stay here earlier this week. Stunning property, gardens and countryside views. We stayed in room 2 which we found to be Immaculate. Ultra clean large en-suite with an excellent shower cubicle. Breakfast choice is extensive and food was cooked to a high standard. Eric and Kay are very friendly people and gave us a warm welcome and enjoyable conversation. Little extras such as beverages, toiletries etc were very much appreciated. There is nothing to dislike about staying here. Many thanks Eric and Kay for your wonderful hospitality.

Stunning B&B and outstanding countryside views

After receiving awful treatment as Buyagift voucher holders by the manager at Farthings Hotel at Hatch Beauchamp, it was a relief to have such a warm, friendly, and polite welcome from Kay and Eric at The Cedar House. They go out of their way to make guests feel at home. The house is set in a beautiful location which is ideal when visiting Exmoor or places such as Selworthy or Porlock. The views from the bedrooms are absolutely stunning, looking out over an immaculately kept garden towards Exmoor and the sea. We had Room 3 which was very comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. The bathroom had the best view we have ever seen from an en suite  and everything was gleaming and ultra clean. The 'extras' such as toiletries, beverages, and biscuits were all greatly appreciated. The breakfast menu is extensive, with something to suit all tastes. Our Full Somerset Breakfast was delicious and kept us going until the afternoon. Kay kindly booked us a table at the nearby White Horse inn at Washford for dinner where we had a tasty and sensibly priced meal on both nights. The Cedar House is exactly what a B & B should be, and we very much hope to make a return visit. Thank you Kay and Eric for being such lovely hosts.
