The Langbury

The hotel is run by Nigel & Paula. 
They keep the hotel and gardens immaculate. 
The breakfast is plenty with cereal and fried. 
Hotel has a small pool (The pool is no more from 2020 ).
Hotel is only 5 min walk to West Somerset Railway. 
There is a good pub on the sea front The Smugglers Inn. The Blue Anchor pub has closed as it partly fell into the sea as the cliff collapsed.

We stayed in the garden lodge for a week earlier and had very enjoyable week, spotlessly clean with lots of added amenities and very friendly hosts. 
Great location for local attractions including Dunster Castle, Minehead and local walks and rides 
Allowed secure place for mountain bike too. 
Highly recommended and apparently the B& B is excellent too. 

We wanted a short 2 night break and we were not disappointed at the fabulous Langbury Hotel.Situated not even 5 mins away from a quiet seafront and views of stunning fields,seafront and fantastic wildlife.Our room was superb,(Dunster 1) was spotlessly clean,a brilliant view and we can't fault it at all.No noise at all from the road,a bed that was so good !!!!! Nigel and Paula are absolutely spot on with everything,the breakfasts were delicious and sourced locally.Please note Nigel's weather daily reports must not be missed.Everything you could want has been thought of,honesty bar,extra fresh milk if needed in room is available,dvds,books a fantastic lounge I could honestly go on and on.If you enjoy walks and wildlife this is a great area to be based.Lots of places to eat which all serve good tasty hearty food.
All in all Langbury is a truly wonderful place to stay.Thank you Paula and Nigel.

We booked the Garden Lodge for a week and could not have been happier with it all! The lodge itself was spacious, comfortable and very well equipped with stylish and quality products, with all the windows/doors it felt like bringing the lovely gardens into your home. Great garden and a swimming pool as a bonus! The location within Blue Anchor is great as very near the beach, the station etc and the location in general is great for visiting Somerset and Exmoor. The owners are very helpful and friendly, we really did have an excellent week and would not hesitate to go back if ever in that area again.

We loved it so much last year, that we booked again for this year ! Paula and Nigel give 110 % to make your stay as wonderful and relaxing as possable ! Nigel's cooked breakfasts are a joy to be looked foward too, as is his daily Weather Report.  Paula is so quick, she is ere there and everywhere all at once. Her Lemon Drizzle Cake, served with tea upon arrival, is a lucious sticky lemony joy ! Thank you both, we were sooooo sad to say goodbye. Thank you for spoiling us ! This hotel is ideal location to use West Somerset Railway. 
Hotel is only B&B. 
Hotel is kept clean and does a good Breakfast. 
It only has 5 rooms and a swimming pool behind the hotel. (Not Heated).
There is a serve yourself bar in the lounge. 
Dunster Castle is only just up the road. 

We've been visiting The Langbury for quite a few years now.  Every time has been outstanding.  Paula and Nigel are the most perfect hosts.  The breakfast truly deserves its award-winning status.  The rooms are lovely. Quite simply, an amazing place to stay.

We stayed in August 2018. We received such a lovely warm welcome on arrival. The Langbury is a beautiful house and a Blue Anchor is lovely. We loved our stay and will definitely be returning. Breakfast was amazing and freshly prepared. Could not find fault at all,  really excellent.

Stayed in September for a weekend away. Booked through Booking.com, very simple and easy. owners contacted me by email to ask what time we were arriving.

  On arrival we experienced the friendliest welcome ever from the owners Nigel and Paula, along with very good coffee and cake in the scenic lounge.

The location is stunning, with views across the Severn Estuary towards Wales, steam trains chuff majestically out of Blue Anchor station just 50 yards away. There is car parking for residents, just beware if you have a car low to the ground, as there is a very steep entrance. The front of my car (A6) has a rubber strip under the lower front bumper which was catching on the road, but that is what is designed for.

The room was fantastic, again with superb views. Spotlessly clean, well and tastefully decorated. The usual TV, coffee/tea facilities, toiletries etc. but all to a very high standard. Plenty of storage with lot's of hangers and drawers. Very comfortable bed. Small toilet and shower room but again spotlessly clean.

Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was outstanding with a great selection of fruits yoghurts and, of course the full english. The lounge has a very nice touch I have not seen before...an honesty bar. There was a good selection of fairly priced drinks, just make a note of what you have had, and it will be added to the room bill at the end of your stay. That came in very handy for a nightcap in the calmingly decorated lounge.

There are gardens and an outdoor swimming pool, weather permitting.

  A first class great value stay, highly recommended and ideal if you wish to spend time on the steam railway.
