Food is fantastic, staff are very friendly and have a fantastic sense of humour. Would really recommend a visit. We had 4 meals here and all were amazing, the coffee cake was superb and some of the stories that the staff  tell you will leave you stunned. 

We went to the village in for a Sunday lunch which was delicious and very filling! Very reasonably priced would recommend! We returned later for a pint to watch Wimbledon and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. 

Had a brilliant time, room was excellent, clean great value, great location. Front of house staff were wonderful, Colin & Bev, both made us feel very welcome, nothing too much for them. The lady (l think the proprietor) in the kitchen made some wonderful food, highly recommend the cottage pie or the brisket dish, very tastey.

Myself and my partner and our two dogs popped in for a bite to eat. We loved the pub and Bev and her team were great. Connie was funny and went the extra mile and even ordered me some chips, when they had stopped severing.

Great dog friendly pub 

Great find. Hubby booked for my birthday and it didn't disappoint. Room light and airy, clean and generously equipped with teas, coffee etc. Sea view and set right in the street. Dog friendly. Staff very friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent, all home cooked. Reasonably priced with generous portions. Definitely recommended and will come back when we can. Thank you!!

Hearty meal .freshly cooked and huge portions . .staff are so friendly  . Really warm welcome . There's a roarms open fire .reasonable  prices . Food was outstanding.

I can't say how many times myself and my family have stayed here. We have been twice this year.  The rooms are clean, comfortable and have everything you could ask for. If there is something missing just ask Bev and she gets it for you. The staff are all very friendly and Bev does make a good breakfast. My children are two boys aged 8 and 9 and they love staying here. Home from Home.  Can't wait to go back again.  Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Staff were so lovely, treated us very nicely. Definitely recommend to anyone so friendly!!!! The best place ever very accommodating with accommodation. Lovely drinks. Lovely food! Will definitely come back here!!!

On our annual pilgrimage to Lynmouth - as we have been doing since 1993 popped in to have a few drinks & meal - as we know dogs are welcome.

Connie was a great host, met him last year when he was new to the area - banter was spot creating a great atmosphere.

Food was top notch yet again - just wish the Gluten Free options were increased - had the cottage pie friday - ham & eggs last night - hoping for a curry tonight.

A wonderful experience, as usual! Lovely, tasty and reasonably priced food and a lovely, relaxed atmosphere.
We will definitely be returning when we’re next in Lynmouth. 
A must-visit for food and drinks.

Lovely Pub, great food.

Absolutely Love This Place

Visited whilst exploring Lynmouth for a quick pub lunch. Great that this pub serves food 12:30-8:00 for those who may be visiting in the future. Friendly bar man who was chatting and engaging with all customers. Ordered the steak and ale pie and cottage pie, both lovely & home cooked. The steak in the pie was very lean with a great thick gravy! Good recommendation of a Lilley’s cider too! Thanks for a lovely afternoon.

Quick pub lunch in Lynmouth

10th to 12th June - great home cooked good

Staff and atmosphere wonderful. We had ploughman's, some lovely sandwiches and a jacket potato. All generous portions and well priced. 

Nice guest ales, local. Games available to keep the kids busy (aged 11 and 13). 

Service was friendly and timely. One of my girls left her bag; and the bar lady came running up the street to give it back to us!   Thank you!

Great Lunch Food, great service

Stopped here for a lunch after exploring Lynmouth and Lynton whilst on holiday. We’d already called in at another larger establishment further up the road  but had left after it was made quite clear to us by a member of staff that they didn’t serve just a snack and a drink at lunchtime! 
As soon as we walked through the door of the pub we were greeted by a cheery lady bar manager who was extremely helpful and advised us on what was available for lunch and gave us a sample of two local real ales to see which we preferred. 
She ordered our food and did warn us that it might take a while as everything was freshly made. 
She also apologised that there was no open fire as she had not received her supply of logs. 
Overall a very pleasant lunch and we will certainly visit again if and when we are next in the village,oh and prices are very reasonable. 

A brief lunch 

We spent Christmas in Lynmouth one of my favourites in the south west. Whilst there we used the Village on a few occasions and what a treat! The staff are very warm and inviting and nothing was too much trouble. I have eaten in numerous places around the world but I must say the food here was on another level. Proper home cooked food delivered with pride after being lovingly prepared by the owner. Fresh and piping hot. Well worth a visit and will be my go to on the next visit
