We stayed for a couple of days and loved the experience! Allison and Hugh are one of the best hosts we´ve ever met. They are kind, welcoming and always available to help with anything you need. The breakfast they prepare is outstanding, everything homemade and delicious. We will definitely come back if we have the chance!!

This ancient house has been brought into the 21century with tasteful renovation in the hands of passionate and committed owners. It is a beautiful very comfortable building which kept us warm despite sub zero temperatures. The bathroom is state of the art and the bed was supremely comfortable. 
The breakfast ( full Scottish ) was as good as you would expect from two professional chefs. We will certainly return. The presence of an excellent fish restaurant only 200m away is a huge bonus. ( Catch 79)

This was my second stay at Lossiemouth house and I couldn't fault it. Alison and Hugh are incredibly helpful with recommendations for places to visit. The breakfast was amazing as always. 

Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The house is in a perfect position for visiting the surrounding area and is also very quiet. We both slept like logs!

We will definitely be back!

From the minute I arrived I felt welcomed. I met Hugh the owner on arrival, shown around the property and to my room, very impressed to say the least. The room was very inviting, plenty of light, absolutely spotless, and the bed was so comfortable, too comfortable really as I slept solid for 8 hours. The bathroom for my room was massive, with a bath and seperate shower, again very clean and inviting. In the mornings the breakfast was amazing, full fry up, with plenty of other choices available.
Lossiemouth House is within 2 min walk of the beach and the local pubs. I would strongly recommend this property for your accomodation needs when visiting. Thanks Alison & Hugh.

Alison and Hugh are superb hosts and went out of their way to make us feel át home'in their beautiful house in Lossiemouth. Further, they were both so helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed Hugh's cooking! We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. The house itself is ideally located only 2 minutes to nearby restaurants, coffee and the idyllic beach. We would highly recommend Lossiemouth House to future guests and look forward to staying again soon!

We stayed for 1 night in June 2023.  The experience we had then decided us to book for 2 nights this year to explore the area as our 1st visit was to get my car serviced in the area and we were short of time.  Review dated June 23 on trip advisor.
On arrival a warm welcome from Alison before making our way to the same room as before, a twin with dual aspect windows and en-suite.  The room was fresh, bright, airy and had ample cupboard space(both hanging and drawers).  A lovely tea /coffee tray with home made shortbread.  
Lovely en-suite with a good water pressure in the shower.
Very comfortable beds, we both enjoyed a great sleep both nights.
Breakfast, once again 10 out of 10.  Homemade produce - apple juice, rhubarb and ginger compote, marmacurd!! , strawberry and vanilla jam, berry compote and can't miss out the tattie scones!!  Best porridge ever!  Excellent cooked breakfast and omelettes.

A house with great history ( a novelty going up and down the turret to our bedroom) and  a couple that take a lot of pride in sharing their home.
We look forward to visiting again Alison and Hugh.

PS. lots to explore nearby eg. Logie Steading, Brodie Castle and grounds, Findhorn eco village, if lucky a fly past by a Typhoon jet, numerous garden centres plus cafes!!  Nearly forgetting stunning East Beach and West beach. Excellent fish dishes at Catch 79 Lossiemouth

Very comfortable, secure and clean rooms. Warm welcome and very tasty breakfasts; homemade jams and granola. Highly recommended for access to the beach and surrounding area of Lossie.  One of the oldest houses in Lossie with plenty of history with a garden to relax in.

Wonderful stay at Lossiemouth House, Allison and Hugh are great hosts.

Wonderful friendly reception.  Beautiful house with so much history.  A fabulous breakfast set us up for the days travel.

I had a fabulous overnight stay in this gem of a place last weekend. The best description of my visit is that it was perfect. Everything from my beautiful clean and well equipped room, fabulous cooked vegan breakfast and lovely hosts, who nothing is too much trouble for. A superb location too, being very close to the sea front. I will definitely be going back should I need somewhere to stay in beautiful Lossiemouth again.

I spent a super comfortable night at Lossiemouth House this week. Despite the fact that my booking hadn’t gone through ( long story) and Alison & Hugh weren’t expecting any more guests, I turned up mid evening, exhausted from a very long journey and they made me feel so welcome. Alison quickly fixed up a room for me  whilst Hugh booked me in.
Their place is gorgeous, beautifully fitted out with everything and more to make an away from home trip luxurious. Comfy bed, fabulous shower and bathroom, spotless room, friendly, kind attentiveness and then the amazing breakfast!! Great coffee ( always a must) deliciously prepared freshly cooked food in a sweet little dining room. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m working in the area. Big thanks, you deserve an award.

Incredible hosts, Alison&Hugh

Highly recommend a stay at the Lossiemouth B&B.  Allison and Hugh are great hosts.  The room and  breakfast are excellent, especially the creamy porridge!  The house was built in the 1790s.  Lossiemouth is just outside Elgin and and easy drive to Inverness, Culloden Battlefield (for history buffs), and Loch Ness.  Just a great place to stay.

We received a friendly welcome.  It was a lovely lightsome room with dual aspect and very good bathroom facilities with luxury toiletries.  Excellent choice of porridge  (best I have ever tasted!!!),high quality and very well presented cooked breakfast which was also very tasty.  Also special marmacurd!!!  Like marmalade but blitzed the peel away - maximum flavour no bits!!!!Would I stay here again - most definitely but next time I will book for two nights as one was not enough.
