The Chestnuts

This is now our 3rd time at the Chestnuts and we always really enjoy our stay here. Clean and comfortable with lovely views and wonderful hosts. We can highly recommend the Chestnuts and will definitely stay again!

This is the second time myself husband and small dog have stopped at The Chestnuts.  The last time was 3 years ago.  Its just as spotlessly clean and appears freshly painted. There is a handy little sink and microwave which is shared with the other bedroom.  This is dog friendly accommodation, although you would never know, as there is no evidence of previous occupants. The breakfasts were a delight and set us up for the day.  We would highly recommend The Chestnuts, and would stop again without hesitation. Thank you Sue!

I booked this self catering lodge for family members visiting us for a birthday party. It was way better than any of us could have anticipated. Lovely location and surroundings. The lodge itself was very very nice with seating areas outside and it was very nicely decorated and cosy. My family absolutely loved their stay here and told me that the owners were so accommodating and very nice people. Would highly recommend and will use again if needs be. 

We had to stay in the area just for one night and myself and a colleague booked both the rooms. They were charming, spacious and had everything we could need: kettle, hairdryer, shower gels, water and wine glasses, tea, coffee, fresh milk... It was quiet and the surrounding garden lovely. Suzi - our host - was extremely helpful when booking and instructions were clear and our breakfast was absolutely great with fresh strawberries and blueberries, lots of cereals, yogurts, home made jams and local honey, lovely fresh bread and a great cooked breakfast. Just what we needed. Thank you!

You will not go wrong staying at this wonderful b&b - the owners are truly wonderful and the setting / accommodation  outstanding - myself & 3 friends stayed here for 3 nights and all wish we could have stayed longer - facilities are fantastic with plenty of parking and space outside, wifi, towels & toiletries etc etc - breakfast was fantastic and the homemade strawberry jam was a personal favourite of mine. I'd go as far as saying this is the best b&b I have stayed in.

Beautifullly appointed rooms with great attention to detail.  Imaginative and generous range of continental breakfast ingredients laid out plus proper pod coffee! Two tiny niggles.... washbasin taps fitted back to front and bathroom door didn't close.  Otherwise all good and would return without hesitation 

I stayed in The Chestnuts for two nights in April. The host, Sue, was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the Wi-Fi was good. There was a small kitchen area for people to use which was great for me as I was on my own and could make food in the evening. 
The breakfasts were lovely.  I would definitely recommend.
