The Chainbridge Hotel

Me and my husband stayed at the ChainBridge hotel for one night as part of our stay in Wales. Having never been to Wales before, the hotel is beautiful in an idyllic location. The hotel is located next to the river Dee, and is a 5 minute walk to the Horseshoe Falls. We stayed in one of the junior suite rooms that overlooked the river with a balcony. The room was very spacious, with great facilities, including tea and coffee with biscuits. We were very pleased to see that there were decaffeinated coffee included in the choices, due to my husband only being able to drink caffeine free drinks; as we have stayed in hotels before where this wasn't provided. The room was clean and tidy, and the bathroom had a lovely towel radiator, which was lovely to have nice dry warm towels to use. We were booked in the restaurant for our evening meal, and the choices on the menu were very good. I chose the sausages and mashed potatoes in a giant Yorkshire pudding with peas and gravy. The food arrived very hot and the portion size was large. I really enjoyed the food. In the morning we both enjoyed a full English breakfast, which was served with a selection of toast, orange juice and tea or coffee to your choice. The food was all hot and very tasty. Anyone looking for a hotel in a beautiful setting in North Wales, we would highly recommend this hotel. All the staff were very welcoming, including the cleaning staff, bar and waitering staff and the reception. We will definitely visit again if we are in the area.
