We had a brilliant stay facilities were spot on. Owners were really friendly and helpful.
Cottage was a great size and had all amenities needed. The Hot tub was in a central location but only 10 metres away from cottage door.
We stayed for 5 days and really enjoyed it. Dog walk area was perfect for our Cockapoo.
They had a games room with had a ping pong table, Dart board and gym with all bats darts etc included.
Would highly recommend.

We’d read the trip advisor reviews before we went on this holiday which did worry us a bit but after our stay had a very different experience. 

We stayed in the dairy and couldn’t fault anything really. It was the perfect place for us - 6 adults and 4 dogs. 

The place was clean and decorated nicely - especially the bathroom.  As a rural, dog friendly stay we weren’t expecting it to be 100% pristine and personally we wouldn’t want that anyway as you’re then constantly worrying your dogs will ruin it. 

Kitchen had everything we could need. The hamper when we arrived was really nice and we found Kate and Andy both very helpful and responsive but not intrusive. 

The beds were all comfy and we all slept well. There is CCTV at the front but it’s a rural site where the owners don’t live so I can understand why it’s there - it didn’t feel intrusive to us at all. 

We’d definitely stay again. It’s a beautiful part of Wales and a great setting but as others have said you do need a car to be able to get out and about really as it’s very rural.

We had a lovely 3 night stay over new year. Andy met us on arrival and answered any questions we had. Our dog Winston was made to feel very welcome. The other guests in the cottages were super friendly too. We went to "y porth" for Sunday lunch which was super tasty! We got to meet Kate there too as they were also out for lunch!

The cottages were warm, with everything we needed. Winston loved running around in the menage and we will definitely be back.

We stayed in the farm house at happy donkey hill. 8 adults and 4 dogs and the stay was perfect. The house is lovely very spacious, very comfy and very family and dog friendly. The house has everything you could need from cooking essentials to towels and hand wash. The hot tub is great and the Rheas and cats wondering around, along with the scenic views, make this an idyllic get away.
It really was a home from home. BOTH hosts were very friendly and made the stay very comfortable. 
If you are travelling with dogs I especially recommend happy donkey hill as it really is perfect for four legged friends. The garden is secure and there are hard floors so perfect for no stress with muddy paws. We would definitely return.

We booked on a friend recommendation and we’re not disappointed. Kate and Andy were very welcoming and the cottage was bliss! Beautiful and peaceful. A short drive to many resorts. Would go back 100%!

Lovely stay in Millers Cottage for me, my  adult daughters and our two dogs. We received a warm welcome from Andy and Kate was very quick to respond to any questions we had. The cottage was cosy and extremely well equipped, our dogs were given tags with the telephone number in case they went wandering and there was a welcome basket with goodies waiting for us. The location is perfect for exploring the beautiful Welsh countryside and the hot tub was great for relaxing in the evenings. We would happily recommend a stay here and we hope to return again.

We were warmly greeted by Andy who gave us loads of information; hot tub safety, local places to visit and eat, advice about the resident animals (bring carrots and ginger nuts!) and how everything worked. Millers Cottage is lovely, the standard of cleanliness and facilities was high and the welcome basket of local goodies was superb. As we went out of season we were the only residents in the courtyard which was brilliant however I can imagine it getting a bit cosy in the high season.  The animals were photogenic and friendly, particularly the donkeys, who are all adorable especially Barbara, senior donkey! I would happily return here and recommend it.

Had the most amazing stay. 7 days away, nice weather, super clean property and amazing hosts! Andy made a massive fuss over our 4 dogs and Kate couldn’t do enough for us. Already booked again for next year. Thank you so much. See you in March xx

Me and my Partner have just spent 3 nights in the stables and I would 100% recommend it as a couple getaway. Andy and Kate were fantastic about everything from booking and arranging a short stay to Texting me the morning of check out. The property was absolutely outstanding and we will definitely be booking again. Our stay was absolutely faultless we just wished we could of stayed longer and we didn’t want to go home.

Great stay in Millers Cottage

Just returned from a half term stay at Millers Cottage with my husband and children and we couldn't have had a better stay. The cottage was pristine on arrival, had all of the amenities we required and was very clean and comfortable - I'm very surprised at the previous review - no cobwebs except on the outside of the window! A lovely welcome basket including bread, milk and butter and local coffee and Welsh cakes. We loved the private use of the hottub and it was great to find some spare flip flops for us to use for the week. We cooked every day and found all of the implements we could have needed. Great washer and dryer in the outhouse.
Andy was very helpful with  any questions we had and a nice touch, a Happy Donkey Hill dog tag for the use of our spaniel while we were there.
The bed was a lovely big size, not the most comfortable but we survived!

Amazing views, lovely animals nearby and a great spot to exercise the dog in the paddock - you couldn't really ask for more.

This is a genuine review and I would be more than happy to stay in this cottage again.

Millers Cottage half term stay for a family of four

A Jewel in the Crown of Wales!

We did really enjoy our stay, but the whole experience was sullied by the unnecessary reaction of the manager following a fair and genuine review that I posted on Airbnb (see photos for my fair review and the responses). I've stayed in many places, all over the world and have never experienced a reaction like this to one of my reviews. Clearly, the poor lady is in the wrong line of business and I can no longer recommend a place run by such a volatile character. It's a shame because with a little more respect for Customer opinions, this place really could be special and worthy of 5* reviews. Even still, it was easily worthy of a high 4* review, but given the unacceptable reaction, I've revised this to 3* and would suggest you AVOID THIS PLACE.

As you can see from the evidance  the cottage is unclean and in some places unsafe. Its totally run down. And clearly doesnt reflect the write up and pictures they are showing on Air B&B inwhich I am not aloweed to post pictures.
There are 3 stray cats that are persistant in getting in the house and do not leave your garden. (To which the host said on arrival close the doors).
Upstairs balcony area is disgusing to the extent not even swept.  Cobwebs in most rooms, dirt on skirting boards. Chairs around the site damaged! 
Hot tubs be payed in cash on arrival of £10 per night. Not going through Air B&B. 

The BBQ is no longer in use and having asked why. The reply was they couldnt be bothered cleaning it everytime someone left.
Outside light does not work. Reported tried to fix and did noy resolve the problem.
If you were looking for something cosy this is not the place. Dont be fooled by the pictures taken 10 years ago. 

Ive requesed  a refund of 25 percent of the total cost. £162. However, not had a reply from the host. After contacting Air B&B they say its not in thier cancellation policy. 
Kate has absolutly no remorse. In it just for the money!!! 
To put it into content the land she has her cotteges has been sold.  They do not care about hospiltality. They're getting everything they can until the land is up. Hence the state of it.

Run Down Cottage. "KATE'S COTTAGE"

Originally booked stay in Jamaica for our honeymoon and had to cancel that - thanks Covid. Wanted something nice and romantic not expecting spotless as this is a farm location.

We arrived and were greeted by Andy who was very welcoming. He took us through all the rules and how to use the hot tub. 

Settled ourselves in and went to check out the facilities. In no particular order! Bedroom we found the mattress to be hard and lumpy. The bathroom looked ok & shower unit. Bath over looked a barn and what I imagine to be the septic tank directly below. 

Kitchen all ok they left a hamper for us - only criticism I have being gluten intolerant would be nice to have been asked about that. Noticed the fridge to be on the small side ( yes this is cited), I expected that it was missing a storage unit in the door which didn’t help. We had a Morrison’s delivery due later only few bits to see us over next few days - struggles to fit that all in. One chipped cup and some of the kitchen equipment wasn’t clean. Dishwasher also small didn’t work. 

There’s a shared communal area including washing machine - personally I wouldn’t go near and didn’t see how that could be safe with covid. The gym and sauna area looked old and tired. 

The hot tub older model and 15 meters or so from the barn ok in summer, I wouldn’t say it was private as you are in full view of the other two cottages. Ok but not the most romantic setting

Had the worst nights sleep on the mattress and would strongly recommend the owners review this or try sleeping on themselves if in doubt. It’s one of those memory foam types I imagine past it's best. We both woke up with aches and pains - I normally fine with mattresses, this really did ruin our stay. I expect more from somewhere claiming to be luxury 

Surrounding area was amazing and well worth a visit, recommend the daffodil pub and day trip to new quay - the highlights of our short break
