Wriggles Brook Gypsy B&B

We had a lovely, relaxing 3 nights at Wriggles Brook. We stayed in the windows and doors caravan, which was super cosy, and with lots of hidden cupboards and clever storage- and a small electric radiator for when it gets cold at night. Everything nice and clean. Loved the campfire - which we used morning and evening - the swing and the proximity to the babbling brook. Our hosts Justin and Sarah (and Fred the Labrador) were perfect hosts. Breakfasts were huge and delicious (loved the local bacon and Stornaway black pudding). Also, always listen to Justin's advice on great places to eat. This was our first proper getaway since lockdown and it didn't disappoint. 

If your looking for something different this is the place to go .The owners are friendly and helpful breakfast perfect to set you up for the day . 
A perfect bolt hole if your for walking or driving around the beautiful Wye valley.
Dogs and children welcomed .

Stayed here before,mour second trip did not disappoint. Host very approachable and friendly.
Breakfast very good quality and on time. We stayed in open lot, it was clean and comfortable.

Had a very relaxing long weekend. Hosts were very attentive, breakfast sets you up very well for the day. Fire pit for those who love to just sit and relax of an evening is a bonus. I slept like a log every night I was there, woke up to bird song which made me want to stay longer.

Nothing like I would normally choose to be honest but I’ve had an obsession with gypsy wagons since I was a kid  , really quirky and fun with such lovely hosts including Fred the dog  , such a beautiful , peaceful setting alongside a pretty brook . The wagon was comfortable I was totally fascinated by it all unfortunately  I didn’t sleep well but I never do ,the owner kindly left me lavender products had a fantastic breakfast sat outside .which they kindly bring to you . The showers were great , very clean . A lovely pub just a short walk away The New Harp and The Lough pool a bit further but worth the walk . We were booked in for 2 nights but ended up going home after 1 as I wasn’t feeling great ( over indulged 60th birthday celebrations ) will defo return . Highly recommend going into Ross on Wye and doing the Hoerwithy circular walk which the hosts printed out for us sadly we  had to cut short as I was feeling ropey 🤔🤣

A short drive from the breath-taking landscape of the Wye Valley this idyllic little place is extraordinary. Quirky, gypsy caravans offer an opportunity for a delightful short break in a magnificent wooded, tranquil setting in beautiful countryside. Good pub,serving great food a short (10mins) walk away.Excellent breakfast is provided the hosts Justin and Sarah who could not be more accommodating and obliging. Well worth a visit!

Myself and my 2 children came to stay at wiggles Brook. None of us are seasoned campers and I was a little reluctant.
 
We rented the Showmans wagon as there were 3 of us. It was plenty big enough and the children had their own double bunk complete with fairy light stars and peep hole windows. 

My bed was very comfy and there was an electric radiator and wood burning stove to keep us warm. 
There were tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities and wood for the camp fire provided. Great for toasting marshmallows.

There is a fantastic pub a short walk away as I wasn't adventurous enough to try and cook on the open fire. 

In the morning, Justin served a delicious fry up in the dining room with fruit juice and crusty fresh bread.

The children loved running around the site, playing on the swings and hammocks and throwing sticks for Fred (the resident pooch).

For novice campers we had an amazing weekend with great company in a beautiful setting. Thank you Justin for making us so welcome. 

What a quirky, wonderful little place and absolutely dog haven surrounded by a brook and lots ground for the dogs to run around. 

After a stroll down to the pub for dinner and drinks, we returned and toasted marshmallows round the fire (with drinks of course) before settling to bed. 
In the morning, a full cooked English and then relaxing in the sun while the dogs got competitive of who could get the most muddy!  

The kids loved it, the dogs loved it and so did we! 

A great mini break, which is different from the norm and ideal especially for those with dogs! 

We stayed at Wrigglesbrooke 8 years ago, and wanted to stay again this time in the summer, it was so lovely sitting around the camp fire on a lovely warm evening  with friends,the gypsy caravans are so unique,  It's such a magical place to stay. Thank you once again.

Amazing weekend

Lovely weekend away 

Yet another AMAZING weekend in the open lot gypsy caravan and the Showmans, where my daughter and family stayed, 2 magical nights, my granddaughter loved it soo much for a 4 year old to walk into a caravan and say WOW ITS SUPERB i just couldn't believe what i was hearing it is such a fantastic experience. Feeling father sad when we arrived thinking Jane was hanging up her caravans for her new adventure, Jane then told us she had changed her mind and would keep the caravans on a self catering basis, we couldn't be happier, Jane and John Paul are a lovely couple only to happy to help, layed  back, calm, not stressed, perfect for the location. Jane's  new adventure is vegan butter, i had a little taster, cant believe what she has achieved the most tasty butter which really does have the texture of butter, GOOD LUCK to you both. we will see you again soon.

SUPERB, IDEAL, PERFECT

Having stayed at Wriggles Brook for my birthday in early September, me and my boyfriend couldn't wait to plan our next trip back. This time we brought my whole family! My brother is moving to Hong Kong so this was a great send of for him and his girlfriend. We rented all 3 caravans and it was a great place to hang out in the day and play games by candlelight in the cosy dining room in the evenings! 

It truly is a wonderful experience and Jane and John Paul made us feel so welcome! The surroundings are lovely and the fairy lights and added details such as lanterns outside each caravan (and umbrellas inside each caravan for if you need to pop to the loo in the middle of the night) really make the place feel magical and cosy. The food was incredible - I would highly recommend the veggie option. I've never had a cooked breakfast taste so good! 

Despite the autumn nights creeping in, each caravan was cosy as it had a plug in heater that warmed up the caravans really quickly. There were also places to light bonfires so you could sit out in the evening and still be warm! 

A truly great experience for anyone who likes quirky places! - I feel inspired to go and buy a gypsy caravan myself!

Second Magical Visiti In 2 Months!

Used a gift voucher to stay a night in the open lot and had a great time. Caravan was unique and included coal fire and kettle and tea/coffee supplies. Outside the caravan we had our own firepit, seating area and hammock by the stream which we loved. Jane was friendly and gave us a pint if milk in the fridge and we absolutely loved the pancakes and cooked breakfast brought to us. Honestly breakfast was a highlight for us. We took our dog who was welcomed and loved the space to run around..he even had some treats at breakfast from Jane. Lovely pub down the road too. As there were no guests having our caravan the next night we were given a flexible check out! Thanks for having us it was great.

This was our fifth stay at Wriggles Brook and it was as magical as ever!  Hubby and I stayed in the Showman's and our friend stayed in the Open Lot.  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, even though on this visit we weren't really able to sit outside as the weather was not so good.  When we arrived hubby discovered we had a flat tyre and John Paul and Jane offered to help sort that out which was really kind as we would have otherwise had to sort it rather than enjoy chilling on the Saturday.  We have stayed in all three wagons over our visits and our favourite is the Showman's!  We look forward to visiting again in the Spring when hopefully we'll be able to enjoy cooking / sitting outside.
