Amazing get away, lovely people, cant get any better, has a hot tub and lovely interior, had a lovely bottle of Prosecco waiting for us as well when we entered, it is located in a nice private area, have no complaints!

Great little B&B in the countryside, especially since it's within walking distance of a wedding venue. We stayed in the 4 poster bed room, which has been updated from the pictures on the website. Roger and Alison met us on arrival and gave us some advice about the area and where we could find some dinner. Breakfast included in the price was amazing, full English, cereal and fruit. Never left hungry.

Phone reception is terrible in the area but Roger made some calls to get us a taxi so we could continue our cornwall journey. WiFi provided was great and never lost signal. 

Good friendly service and would stay again.

Oh wow, was having to come down for a family bereavement, Roger and Alison were absolutely fantastic, went out of their way to make our stay as pain free and enjoyable as they could. 
Rooms gorgeous, setting was beautiful, hosts were very warm and friendly, food was outstanding. 
I can't praise them enough.
I totally recommend this beautiful place. Nothing was too much trouble, and can't wait to go back again under better circumstances.

We enjoyed the pleasure of staying with Alison and Roger for 5 nights when visiting family and friends in the area. What a gem Woodpeckers is!From the lovely warm welcome, peaceful comfortable room,( with many special extras like chocolate, well stocked beverages, every toiletry including toothbrushes and toothpaste, torch, hairdryer, books to read, wonderful comfy beds)...and an epic breakfast....seasonal fruit and yoghurt, freshly cooked Full English using local produce and beautifully presented each morning. Alison and Roger went above and beyond to make our stay so pleasurable in their beautiful pristine home. We can't wait to book again!

We were treated like royalty by the hosts Alison and Roger, the room and the bed was perfect and the breakfast was to die for! This is a must visit B&B if you are visiting the area!! Bodmin Moor is right on your door step and the Eden project is just a stones throw away

Good base for visiting places all around Cornwall with all of the amenities you need to make your stay comfortable. 
Excellent breakfast to set you up for the day.
Easy walk to the wedding venue and local pub which has great menu and service.

I stayed here over NYE for a wedding at The Green. Roger and Alison were amazing hosts very welcoming and kind, and our room was very comfortable and very relaxing with the stream outside!! 
Breakfast was delicious!!! As was the home made yoghurt!! We over ate each morning because everything was so delicious from the Honey from the hive at the end of the garden to the locally sourced meats and jams/ chutneys!! 
Absolutely amazing - so happy we booked to stay here !! Very good value for money..
Would definitely stay here again.

Visited for a wedding at a nearby venue!
Roger and Alison were wonderful hosts, and we had a wonderful room, with some practical (torch hanging in room, hung and reachable shelving in shower), and personal (delicious chocolate) touches, that really make a difference.
The breakfast was incredible, with locally-sourced sausages, home-made yogurt, and honey made from the hive next-door!..... and a constant stream of toast and tea!!!!
Overall, a wonderful stay, and one my wife and I hope to repeat soon! 

We stayed with roger and his wife  the other week for a wedding at the green next door. The service received was impeccable, the room was comfy and well presented.
The breakfast included is amazing!! For the price we paid you could stay in the premier inn for two nights rather than three and have to pay for a mediocre breakfast on top. This was a brilliant place and we liked the personal touches like chocolate in the bedroom and home made yoghurt.

Great for the wedding venue -Fab breakfast

Wanted to book along with family staying here for a nearby wedding. When calling to book and explain I would be bringing a 6 month old child, I was informed by gentleman on the phone the rooms were not big enough to fit a cot in. When I said we had one that would fit in most places he then said they didn't have the facilities to accommodate the child. I then explained I would bring all required equipment if needed but he then went on to say the child would also be a disruption at the breakfast table (??).  

I think it is absurd to make excuses for not accommodating children and would have preferred to be told outright that children were not allowed. Additionally - it should be made explicitly clear on your website/booking platforms that children are not welcome.
