The studio is clean, warm and cosy,with everything you need. This was our second stay and it now feels like home. It's situated in a lovely garden and it's a pleasant short walk in to Lewes which is a lovely place to visit and explore. 

Lovely welcome, and superb accommodation. Breakfast was provided, and there are even facilities to cook a simple meal. We all loved it and were hugely impressed. It was immaculately clean and beds were super comfy!

Lovely accommodation, just a short walk from Lewes centre. Studios were very nice, clean and easy to access.  We only stayed one night but would have been more than happy to have stayed longer and explore the beautiful countryside further. Thankyou for a perfect trip. 

We rented the two studios - perfectly appointed and practical...the upper studio has a terrace with a lovely view of the Downs - great for breakfast al fresco... Twenty minutes walk from station and castle but as it is all uphill better to have a car. 

Hill Road Studios is clean, comfortable and has some very interesting bits and pieces. Ideal for our stay over for the opera at Glyndebourne, and highly recommended. Paul and Kathy were thoughtful, professional and generous hosts and we will probably return next year. 


A self contained unit.  Bedroom with comfortable chairs, tv and small but very well equipped kitchen area for simple self catering.  Milk, juice and butter in fridge plus variety of coffee and tea etc and good bread.  Efficient shower room with lots of hot water.  Very pleasant hosts.

A lovely studio with incredible views of the South Downs. We stayed one night for a festival at Glynebourne. Our hosts went out of thier way to provide us with what we needed. Everything was clean and we had breakfast cereals and fesh juice and toast and jam. Highly recommended

Studio had everything we needed for our stay. Friendly, helpful host. Lovely peaceful setting which was ideal for me as I am a very light sleeper. Very pleasant seating area in garden. 
My only wish for improvement would be better blinds on front windows as I was woken by the sun every morning but you could always take an eye mask.

We really enjoyed our stay here at Hill Road Studios. The owners really thought of everything from blankets incase it was too cold to a good fan if it was too warm. There was also tea, coffee, orange juice, bread, milk and butter on our arrival. It was quiet, peaceful and very clean. Although we didn't have a direct view from our studio, when we walked up the steps to the main house, the view was beautiful. Shower pressure is good and the beds are comfy (memory foam pillows were lovely). The only issue we had was that the toilet didn't seem to have a good flush. So we had to be careful how much loo roll we used. We also had a parking spot which was great as parking is hard to come by in Lewes. If you have quite a large car, I would contact the owners first as I'm not entirely sure it would fit. Overall, great stay. 

This was a self-contained studio just outside Lewes with good views of the surrounding countryside and handy for Glyndebourne. The owners were very welcoming and the studio was amply stocked with cereals, milk, juice, tea, coffee and was very clean.  There was parking available at the front of the property.
