What a Gem of a hotel. So glad that I found it. I’ll definitely recommend and also stay again, it excelled in every aspect. Couldn’t be happier with my stay.

Lovely room and hotel in general. Lunch menu is kimited and very pricey

Great service I was there for 2 weeks overall. Gorgeous room and Nabila and Nico were just incredible. Nabila was so kind and helpful. Nothing was any trouble.

It is a Lovely Hotel with amazing rooms, fantastic food, and exceptional staff. It is always a pleasure to Stay at the Winstanley. Ella and the team make this hotel the number one choice if you're staying for business or pleasure.

Lovely hotel in an unusual location, if uiu stay make sure you eat in the black iron, ⚫️ amazing steaks at a reasonable price, rooms were comfy, staff were very helpful, had a coupe of cocktails are dinner made by Ella, thanks for being a perfect host 😁

Breakfast was superb especially the poached eggs. Large comfortable rooms.

Nice hotel traditional clean and very friendly

Very warm welcome by Niko, nice to be in such a nice surrounding. Bar was well equipped, bed was very comfortable and the eggs florentine were delicious!

One night stay, nice warm room on arrival. Facilities adequate for our stay, good coffee machine, plenty of towels, bed comfortable, pillows a little hard for our liking. Didn’t seem to be a safe in the room. Reasonably quiet but could hear someone using the toilet in the room above!Thought breakfast choice limited - continental poor selection, cooked full English very good, but prefer toast severed separately and not buttered. Coffee at breakfast - awful! Need to invest in a coffee machine.The Asian lady from London on reception (sorry didn’t get her name) very friendly and helpful. Had a nice chat with her on our return later in the evening.Would stay again if in the area.

One night stay

We stay on our way to Peak District and choose to do a park run in the morning. The park run is in the same park which is 1 minute outside which is amazing. The front desk staff is excellent, when we check the time of breakfast, they told the kitchen to make sure wait us to get our breakfast- in the end we back on time but still very caring service.

Good location and service

I stayed one night for a business trip.  The hotel is lovely, really nice decor.  The staff are all fantastic, very professional & friendly. I ate in the restaurant - the steak was delicious & the bar is a lovely place to sit & relax, the barman makes a great Cosmopolitan. The only downside for me was the memory foam mattress I found a bit hard as I'm used to a softer one at home but I will definitely stay there again

Business trip

Honestly, I could not say enough positive comments about this incredible hotel. 10/10 for EVERYTHING!!! The room was huge, comfortable, luxurious & spotlessly clean. The guy on reception was a delight (I wish I got his name). The grounds are beautiful & Braunstone park is a fabulous place for an after breakfast walk. Talking of breakfast, just look at the photos! So tasty & huge! And a lovely selection of pastries & cereal too.The grounds at the back are stunning with a beautiful old tree & swing. It cost less than £10 for an Uber into town too. Utterly Perfect!

We had a beautiful stay in a gorgeous room and the breakfast was amazing! The only thing I could say is that there was no lift on our side of the building so while it was okay for us staying the single night, for anyone with a disability or any elderly people etc it may be difficult to get anywhere further than the 2nd floor. Overall it was a fantastic stay and I'd highly recommend it!

Wedding night stay!

I was happy to find this hotel remained open to business travellers during lockdown. It is situated in the middle of a park, and is stunning both inside and out. The room was beautifully furnished and the en-suite was lovely. There was no room service available during lockdown, which I thought would be ok when I booked, but it actually became quite tricky, particularly without a fridge in the room to keep purchased food chilled. The wifi didn’t work. I mentioned it to staff but it wasn’t resolved. Fortunately I had my hot-spot but the hotel may want to sort this out for future guests (particularly if travelling with wifi-dependent youngsters!) There is no lift in the main building, which is fine if you’re fit and healthy - which I’m not!! I was carrying quite heavy luggage and confess to struggling a bit when I was towards the top of the 54 stairs! There is a lift on the other side of the hotel, so it is accessible to all.The staff who greeted me every evening when I came back from work were just lovely and a credit to the hotel.I would love to come back when the hotel is able to serve food. Other hotels offer a limited room service menu during lockdown. If this hotel could do the same I would come back during lockdown and would really like to support them rather than the bigger hotel chains.Photo is the view from my room. Just stunning!

Beautiful Hotel

Arrived at the hotel and had trouble parking as the hotel was hosting a function.  Had a bit too much of a walk with luggage as a result.  Check in was swift, room was beautiful and fully equipped with toiletries and drinks.  We wanted room service but discovered the phone in the room had no dialling tone so had to ring from mobile.  The room service options were limited to three for each course and a £10 surcharge was added to the bill for delivery - the food was excellent quality.  Breakfast and service was 100%.  A lovely relaxing hotel.  Enjoyed a stroll in the park after breakfast which was lovely too.  Would recommend and stay again.

Winstanley House one night break for couple

Gorgeous place and rooms are lovely. Great night’s sleep and big bathroom with good quality toiletries. Receptionist on arrival was friendly and helpful. Couple of niggles- no shower cap or sewing kit in room( not that needed sewing kit but if they say included then should be); heating system was great the night of arrival but come the morning it was on cool and despite settings being the same as previous night with temp set to 23 degrees the room would not heat up. No staff at breakfast room when arrived so had to find. No bowls or plates on buffet table so had to ask. Friendly, helpful staff but service was slow.

Good but could be great.

Location is very unique on middle of a park, beautiful place for lunch, dinner&/or a stay. Lovely bar & free parking on site. uber into city centre is £7-9. Breakfast choice is good& complimentary - we stayed in room 302 & it was very quiet. There was a draft from old wood window - bed & pillow comfy - nespresso machine, iron/board/hairdryer in room - shower was wonderful - big shampoo/gel in shower area. High ceiling - number of room lighting options. Restaurant has bar menu ( light bites) which is good. Free WIFI* lift only goes to first floor so you do have to go up stairs with your bags & there was no assistance with this when we arrived. Overall very nice

Booked for a night before visiting the Space Centre.  The room was comfortable, if a little on the small side with an awful view of a roof. We reported a few niggles to reception when we checked out.  We had bar snacks on the evening, and the breakfast before check out, both really good.  The building is stunning.
