Woodovis Park

We stayed in our campervans and found the facilities 5 star! The washing up area is always spotless. There's even a Doggy wash station! They have a lovely dog walking field through the trees too.
Woodovis pool and jacuzzi is fab and indoors so, no matter what the English weather's doing, you still get to have fun.
My one and only disappointment was the infra red 'steam room'. I call it a steam room because I can't remember what they call it. But 2 of the stations didn't work and it wasn't warm enough. But everywhere is spotlessly clean. And the staff are always friendly and helpful. The shop is very reasonably priced and sell pizza's that you can cook in their pizza oven.
We'll definitely be going again 😊

The park is so clean and tidy. They welcome you and are lovely people. The facilities are minimal but to a high standard. The pool, the ball area, the shop, the amenities all excellent, well looked after. Dog friendly, it's quiet and relaxing. A pub in walking distance, good food and drink all prices are reasonable. The park is small but amazing definitely recommend this park.

This is our third stay, as tourers, at Woodivis. We rate it 9.99999 out of 10. (Have to leave teeny bit for improvement 🤣). Everything is so very well done and carefully thought out. 
I frequently recommend to others and have done so three times in last three days. We will return. 

The park was peacefull, the pod was perfect and the facilities were spotless and the staff were very welcoming and friendly, been to many camping parks and this one is at the top of the pile and hard to beat 

OCTOBER HOLIDAY BEFORE HALF-TERM
In short yes make your booking.  There's fresh baguette in the morning and lots to see and do in the local area if you are up for it.  If not, there is the pool, hot tub bubbles and sauna.

A VERY GOOD CHOICE
I booked this holiday for my husband and myself before the half-term for some rest, relaxation, peace and quiet, to chill and de-stress.  Woodovis was chosen specifically because it had the spa on site, so, if we decided not to explore there was something to do close by.

We had a warm welcome from the staff and were guided to our spot.  Before setting up on the pitch, I utilised the Motorhome facilities, filled up with water and refreshed the loo.  The pitch was closer than I expected and within minutes we had set up home.

BREAKFAST TREAT
We made good use of the pre-order breakfast facilities.  Fresh baguette and pain au chocolat for breakfast ooh such a treat :-) and worth the extra swimming to burn it off!!

THE SPA
What really made the holiday for us was the spa.  Yes, it rained for 5 days of the 7 we stayed.  A storm blew through.  We decided not to spend all day out in the storm.  However, after a lazy morning reading and snoozing we ventured out to the spa.  It was a short walk from our pitch.  We were fortunate to have the spa to ourselves on a couple of occasions as we were there just before half term.  I can imagine it being somewhat busier during the busy seasons.  It was good to get in some lane swimming and then spend time in the bubbles and sauna. 

[Handy tip - dress ready to swim, wear slip on shoes, take 2 towels and maybe a book to read in the sauna.  I did not need to use the changing room before I swam and could be showered and in the pool in minutes.  To shower properly after swimming, I would suggest using the shower block. The water is hotter.  2 Towels?  I dried off before walking over to the shower block (and slipped on a loose dress over my damp swimming costume) and still had a dry towel to use after my shower.]

OUT AND ABOUT
When the weather decided to dry up a little, we did venture off-site.  Tavistock is 10 minutes away if that and Plymouth 20 to the Park and Ride.  These times are based on a motorhome driving carefully down narrow lanes at 30mph!! There is certainly more to do in the area. We opted not to overdo it.

ECO WARRIORS
We were mightily impressed with all the eco and green initiatives that have been introduced on the Park.  The website is impressive but to see it in action well its inspiring.  The handy information points explained what they had and how it worked.

FACILITIES
All the facilities were clean and neat and tidy.  The (heated) accessible toilet was a favourite with my husband.  I'm not sure if it was supposed to be heated but the warmth was very welcome.

I liked the fact I could check the pressure on my tyres at the Motorhome Service Point.  It was the little things that made the difference.  

The owl hooting at night made me smile.

WOULD WE BOOK AGAIN?
Yes, we may well book again in the off season for a quiet wind down and explore more of the countryside.

Absolutely loved our visit we make so many great family memories here.
Really looking forward to next year being a great base to explore dartmoor although the kids just want to stay at the park in the pool.
The Halloween party was brilliant and well planned the kids had such a good time and we enjoyed the bar.

Great place really friendly staff nothing was too much trouble the pod was nice and facilities were great. toilets and showers were spotlessly clean and the shop had plenty of things to choose, only a short drive to Tavistock. Great location for exploring

Simply unbelievable site, we have stayed a couple times in our motorhome. The whole site is ran on solar power frim its own solar panels, the swimming pool is lovely and warm and jacuzzi was a treat!
The free pizza oven is a genius idea and we used it too many times, it was that good.
The whole site is immaculate and proffesiknally ran.
If you want a great stay, get down to Woodovis.

We have been visiting this lovely family run campsite for over twenty years now, initially as a family with young children and now as a couple with our dog! 
The campsite is ideally situated for Dartmoor, the beautiful Devon/Cornwall beaches and the city of Plymouth. There is so much to do in the area and everywhere is very dog friendly. 
We have come to view Woodovis as our second home, if only we could spend more time there! The site is immaculate and so well run, all the staff go above and beyond to make it the beautiful place that it is. 
I really can't rate it highly enough. I've just booked our next trip and am already counting down the days!!

Fantastic facilities, all of which were spotlessly kept by the friendliest camp site staff we have ever come across. The staff were truly amazing, allowing my wife & I to watch Her Majesty the Queens funeral procession in one of the vacant static caravans on site, as sadly our own system wasn’t working. Quite literally above & beyond in all respects. This was in fact our first stay at Woodovis & as a result of the fabulous facilities & the exemplary level of service we received, we have already booked to return in October this year & again on four separate occasions in 2023. The fresh baked bread each morning is enough of a reason to return on its own! Please pass on our thanks to all concerned.

Peace and tranquility in a beautiful setting

We had a short stay at Woodovis and were blow away at the effort the team has put into their holiday park. The facilities are immaculate and there is all you could think of and more - a lovely pool, shop, kids play area, games room, clean bathroom and showering facilities, washing up areas and easy access to bathrooms and water for campers. You’ve done a great job Woodovis team, we would definitely come back!
