A lovely friendly welcome awaits you at the Dalkeith. From the moment you walk in you are made to feel at home and very welcome by the family owners.  Everywhere is spotless and decorated beautifully.  The homemade cake left in your room is a lovely tasty touch.  Breakfast was fabulous and so much choice…. Best veggie sausages I’ve tasted and everything was cooked perfectly.
The Dalkeith is in a quiet area only approx 5 minutes walk into the town centre which is ideal.
Parking was the only downside as it’s on street parking and was difficult to find a space but eventually parked a couple of streets away. 
The price was also very reasonable for Keswick.
All in all the Dalkeith is a  first class gem. Definitely go and book it.  When I get back to Keswick the Dalkeith will be my first choice.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Dalkeith Guest House. The room was spotless and beautifully decorated. Very comfortable beds. The breakfast was lovely and we had lots to choose from on the order form. Very well located, just a few minutes walk to the shops in Keswick. And the hotel owners were very friendly and had lots of suggestions of where to go and what to do if needed!

This is by far the best bed and breakfast we have stayed in anywhere! Hosts are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful about the local area, the breakfast is the best we have had anywhere and the homemade cakes left in the room every afternoon is the loveliest of touches and was delicious! Would highly recommend 

Stayed there recently with my son on a walking holiday, lovely friendly people, room was nice and clean, breakfast was superb. Always had a little chat when they saw you going in or out, all in all a great weekend in Keswick.

Cannot praise the Dalkeith highly enough. My wife & I have stayed here twice for 5 nights & each visit has been nothing but a total pleasure. Very well located in a quiet street, but a very short stroll to all the shops, bars, restaurants & with easy on street parking. The accommodation is spotless, cozy, warm & homely, nothing's left to chance & Richard, Rachel & her folks couldn't be nicer people to meet, so welcoming, helpful & with great advice on walks, places to go, eat/drink etc. You get the feeling nothing's too much trouble & we can tell they take pride in their business. We've stayed in Room2 both times & although it's the smallest they have we find it perfect & easily hang up all our things from days walking up the hills etc.  Breakfast is just delicious with a lovely selection to choose from the day before & home baking is even left in rooms to come back to at the end of day. Perfect! We cannot wait till our next visit; we honestly won't stay anywhere else. 

Homely and  welcoming . A family run place that offers unpretentious but convenient lodgings at a central location in the lovely town of Keswick . Nothing is more than 10 minutes walk away .  An excellent Breakfast ,Wifi and easy access are the other hallmarks of this B and B . Bathrooms are ensuite . High standards of cleanliness and  thoughtful hosting complete the experience. 

Paid on arrival, given keys & shown to room.  Filled in breakfast order, and left in hall for next day.  Very welcoming people, no fuss at all.  Really good choice for breakfast, I had the full English, and my wife had the scrambled eggs on toast, with smoked salmon;  everything really tasty and clean.  Choice of toast, juices, cereals, tea & coffee etc.  Homemade cakes a speciality; 2 pieces were left on a covered plate, in our room, this time it was lemon cake, last time it was fruit cake.  Really relaxing, homely atmosphere.  Highly recommended.  Tom & Iris

I can’t praise this guesthouse enough. 
We stayed for a long weekend and couldn’t fault it. The owners were so friendly and helpful. 
It was my husband’s birthday while we were there and they even sent him a card and a box of biscuits. 
The guesthouse is immaculate and beautifully decorated. Breakfast really good quality and filling. 
 Rooms are adequate for a short stay. Great location, very short walk into Keswick. 
Street parking was also fine, we managed to find a spot close by every day.
If we visit the lakes again we will definitely stay at this guesthouse.

The best B&B in Keswick! From the moment I arrived after a 7 hour drive, I was made to feel welcome and comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. I booked the deluxe twin room as I was originally booked to come with a friend but ended up being on my own. Rachel and her parents went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and given I had paid for two people provided me with an extra sausage sandwich to take with me up the fells. Every day when I returned to my room there was a home made cake which was a lovely touch and they even cut an extra slice for my dad who was staying in a different B&B. The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was lovely with a good range of choices. I cannot recommend Dalkeith Guest House highly enough! Thank you!

The best B&B in Keswick!

There were so many things to like about this cozy home.  From the sunny breakfast room, the vast choice of freshly prepared breakfast items, the smiles of the staff, the comfort of the bed, and the helpful suggestions of which walks were best suited to my ability.  I liked being such a short walk away from the frenzy of the town center, so it was convenient, yet also quiet.  They were also very kind to help me rearrange travel plans due to railway strike.  Just an all around lovely place!
