What a fabulous B&B, Ben and Fiona are such good hosts, really lovely couple such fun, Ben even walked us to the restaurant so we didn't get lost. The breakfast was probably one of the we have had, just superb. Top of our list of B&B's  we have ever tested at. Well you two!!

Myself and my partner stayed at Squirrel Lodge along with our two small dogs for a long weekend - it couldn't have been more perfect for what we needed.

Firstly the location was fantastic, just a short walk into Keswick Town centre but also in easy reach to other local places of interest.

Most importantly, Ben and Fiona were brilliant hosts. Super friendly but also extremely knowledgeable about the local area, which was really helpful.

Couldn't recommend Squirrel Lodge enough and we look forward to returning next time we visit the Lakes. 

What can I say Ben and Fiona make you feel very welcome.  Special touch for me was the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs which was amazing. There would be no doubt we would be returning...Keswick is a beautiful place to visit.

I haven't stayed in a B&B for years and always thought I'd feel uncomfortable staying in what is effectively someone else's house.  But seemingly B&Bs are the done thing in Keswick, and I was proved completely wrong by Ben and Fiona, who had it just right when it came to being avaialble if you needed anything and giving you your own space.

I can't fault the room cleanliness, bed comfort, lovely power shower and delicious breakfast.  

Would defintely stay again - expecially as it's so close to the town centre.

Excellent 2 day stay,couldn't fault anything. One of the best cooked breakfast  I have ever had. Looking forward to staying at the new place next year.good free parking and a 5 minute walk into Keswick.

Myself, hubby and our dog recently stayed at Squirrel Lodge a couple of days after our Wedding. The accommodation was a nice ten minute walk into Keswick centre, or just a few minute drive. The room was clean, bright and modern.  

The owners Fiona & Ben were very friendly and know how to make their guests feel welcome! They had left a bottle of complimentary wine in our room as a gift to celebrate being newly weds, which was such a lovely touch! There was a great choice of breakfasts, including nicely presented fresh fruit pots, yoghurts, toast, cereal and a range of cooked breakfast options. I have to say the full cooked breakfast and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon were cooked to perfection and portions were very generous. 

We will definately stay at Squirell lodge again and will recommend to friends and family.

Ben and Fiona and Squirrel Lodge are always our favourite part of coming to Keswick!  We were blown away the first time we visited at how clean and lovely the guesthouse was and how lovely they were, but it gets even better each time!  It really is like walking into a family home, where people chat and can totally relax.  It's always spotless and Ben and Fiona cannot do enough to help and accomodate.  I have various dietary needs, which are always catered for, and even when my daughter felt poorly, they were there to help.  The location of the guesthouse is perfect and we will most definitely be visiting forever!

Lovely stay. Ben and Fiona were lovely and really accommodating when we arrived early . They’re both very experienced in the hills and understood the wet kit, boots etc that we brought back. Lovely breakfasts, well presented and very tasty. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

We have stayed in many hotels/guest houses in Keswick and the Squirrel Lodge is at the top of the list for value for money, good location, sanitation and cleanliness 10 out of 10, one of the best full English breakfast we have ever had, and most importantly Ben and Fiona were the perfect hosts.  They made us feel very welcome and gave us some useful tips and information.  We love Keswick and love Squirrel Lodge.  We will definitely book again  at Ben and Fiona's new accommodation just a few yards away. Hopefully sooner rather than later.  Highly recommended.

Exceeded our expectations, we would definitely recommend staying here

Absolutely  lovely 2 night break away in Squirrel Lodge. This was our 2nd stay here and you are made to feel so very welcome and at ease by Fiona and Ben. We stayed in room 5 which was spotless and  vey comfortable with everything you need. Loved the breakfasts each morning, the hikers breakfast fills you up for the day. Absolutely delicious with lots of choice. Highly recommend to book a stay here. 

Wonderful stay

How very different life and holidays are for everybody right now due to the restrictions we are all having to adhere to.
However it doesn’t mean that holidays and fun have to stop therefore we booked a family getaway to Squirrel Lodge B&B, Keswick. 
Before we arrived we were kept up to date with invoices, places to eat and drink and self check in. 
Upon arrival we were greeted with a fabulous welcome beautiful bright and airy rooms that were spacious and cleaned to perfection.
Squirrel Lodge is dog friendly and although we don’t have one it was nice to see them also relaxed and enjoying the B&B, my point being you would never know dogs stay as the B&B smells so very pleasant, everyday the owners (Ben & Fiona) were cleaning and sprinkling the love and care required for an exceptional stay.
Now let’s talk about the breakfast....,
From fruit, yoghurt, crepes, crumpets, toast all the way to a very healthy grilled full English or the “Hikers” which is incredible and sets you up ready for a full days Walking up the Fells that beautiful Keswick has to offer.
Nothing is too much trouble for Ben & Fiona, they clearly take the hospitality sector very seriously and will go out of their way to offer a service that I haven’t yet experienced anywhere else I have stayed (and we are a well travelled family) they have two incredible kind young children that included our own two boys in fun and games and “Fitz Park” fun.
Would we stay here again???? 
Absolutely we would. Ben, Fiona and your beautiful boys you have a family that will be rebooking every year.

Half Term family getaway

Ben and Fiona gave a very warm welcome and even bagged me an early check which was ace! The room was very clean and decorated very modern and fresh. The breakfast was brilliant everyday of my 4 day stay. Ben helped with a walking route up to Skiddaw which was an awesome route and wouldnt have done it without his knowledge. Eddie the Parson terrier who stayed with me was made to feel very welcome and the table with dog treats went down very well.Overall a truly brilliant stay and cant wait to come back in October! 

Excellent and enjoyable stay

I had a whirlwind trip to Keswick, made fabulous staying at Squirrel Lodge . Great communication from Ben made me feel really welcome and comfortable travelling on my own ( well with my dog Prof Barney Jones😆). Spotlessly clean modern room. Lovely deep bath , great after lots of walking . Fab breakfast, good local ingredients cooked to perfection. 
... I made it up catbells Fiona 💪🏻. Thank you hope to visit again .

How lucky was I, my purpose in visiting Keswick was to hike the tallest Peak in England, which I did ✅

I stumbled on this wonderful B&B in a perfect location for two nights stay. 

What can I say, the hosts Ben and Fiona were amazing, nothing too much trouble. 
Helped me with routes for my walk to Catbell's (stunning) and sorted out an early continental breakfast one morning as I had an early-ish start to climb that aforementioned fell.

The place is spotless with a great ambience. The cooked breakfast on my second morning was wonderful, the full English, coffee, tea, juices, cereal, toast in abundance, compliments to the chef, Ben I believe.

I would return in a heartbeat, well actually I am in 3 weeks to tackle Skiddaw and have another crack at Catbell's, the accomodation is so good I'm going back.

Thanks Ben & Fiona, you deserve every positive review, you work so hard to keep this little gem an absolute delight. I'm so glad I found it.
