Big up Shaji bro. It was amazing as always. The mattress was a bit smaller than the bed and there was a dirty fork but don’t worry we cleaned it for you! We shall come to stay again very soon. Thankyou for the room upgrade :) The bed was very comfy

simple yet effective, i stayed in room two with my partner for two nights and we slept well. Only thing is the room was creaky but that's it! Having a microwave and fridge was so handy

Really happy for the price! Was given a free upgrade which really helped as had some personal issues half way through my trip. They were understanding and great with communication! Recommend

We had the room in the roof that was overlooking the whole city, it was such an amazing and unique view that I still miss now.

This property was a 10 min walk to the beach which was great. When we got into the room there was a leaflet which told us the wifi and amenities around. There was a double bed made the only thing I would suggest is more pillows there was only two but this would depend on people’s preferences. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

This was my first solo trip away so I was hoping everything would be smooth and stress free, which it was. The hotel is faceless (didn’t see any staff on site) and keyless meaning you check yourself in with a code and email them when you check out, to be honest suited me and no issues. I was very impressed with the room as a whole (Room 3, double with partial sea view). It wasn’t the cleanest but I was prepared for that due to viewing previous reviews, nothing terrible and as I was there for one night so not an issue. Wasn’t too noisy and about a 5-8 min walk to Brighton pier. It had a mini kitchen including microwave, fridge and mini hob- if your planning to cook there it’s just plates and cutlery, no pans or pots. I would stay again for a short stay 👍

Decent size small room with kitchenette.  Lovely to be able to put food & drink in good size fridge & microwave

everything was really good! the service was incredible! the only thing that i would note is the freezers didn’t shut because they need defrosting! and the floors are uneven! and the roof is collapsing! and the tv was too small! and the bath was brown! there should be a drain just by the bath! there was a sexy dvd in the tv! the man upstairs wouldn’t stop walking around! we hope you enjoyed your cereal!

It feels safe and has good working facilities but the dumpsters right out the front make the street really dirty.Only a 20 minute walk from the train station and close to the beach and a nice walk to the lanes and town centre. I would say that the rooms are very minimalist and don’t look much like the pictures but they have everything you would need for a weekend stay.

Last minute trip to Brighton

Excellent value for money , room was large, large comfy bed with TV and sofa. Mini kitchen with kettle,sink,hob,microwave and fridge. En suite bath with shower. Towels provided.I only booked for the one night but would have happily stayed a week. Yes there was the odd hair and a bit of dust in places but on the whole it was clean. Its a bit dated but wouldn't expect anything less being an old building. I'd definitely be booking again.

It was easy to access the building and room. They responded quickly via email. The room was suitable for me as staying overnight for work purposes. The shower was quite small and a bit hard work to move around but it wasn’t a big issue. The mattress was a bit springy and not overly comfortable but still slept ok. I loved the smell of the soap. I liked the little kitchen area, really helpful for having a quick microwaveable meal and having a fridge. It’s close to shops which was really handy. I would stay again.

Was fine for me.

This place was exactly what we needed.  It was clean, and had all the amenities we wanted, including being able to cook for ourselves to save money, and the manager was very friendly and helpful.  The location was really good too - close enough to the centre to walk to easily, but not so close that it would be noisy.  Would stay here again.

Clean, friendly, and great location

I enjoyed my stay at Amherst while attending the Exercise Patience Regional Convention at the Amex Community Stadium.  As a single woman I felt safe and cared for. I would recommend these accommodations to my friends.I appreciated the upgrade to a sea view room and the morning sunshine on my pillow was wonderful.

Had the best stay at the Amherst Guesthouse - would highly recommend! Room was lovely and clean with everything we needed for a safe stay during covid. The location is ideal for all the attractions Brighton has to offer. Excellent service, immaculate rooms, covid-safe & perfectly located by the sea front. What more could you want? Looking forward to staying again :-)

Superb location, fantastic comfy bed, great amenities in the room. In non-COVID times, this would have been even better, but the hotel was doing zero room service during our stay so we had to buy our own tea once we'd run out. We were greeted by Callum on arrival who was very helpful. Didn't see anyone else for the entirety of the stay though. They sell £12/day resident permits which are far cheaper than using a car park! The Black Dove up the road is tremendous for beer and cocktails.
