Corran House

I stayed at Corran House the second weekend in September. When I arrived I was lucky to be upgraded from a single to a double room. The landlady, Jackie is very friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble. It has a good central location and I couldn't find any fault, will definitely return. Also was very pleased to be greeted by Marley whenever I pulled up after a day's hiking.

Stayed at Corran House for three nights in August during our first visit to Isle of Skye.   Jackie is such a lovely and delightful hostess.    She was warm and welcoming from the very start.   Rented a family room, but after seeing the height of our son, suggested an extra room just for him.    Worked out perfectly for all.  Lovely property with a gorgeous view of the Loch.   Marley was most welcoming, as well.  Breakfast included and just the right amount to start our day.

Would definitely recommend staying!  Actually, we’ll be back and will be staying again when we return!  


The property is between Portree and Uig in a very quiet and relaxing setting.  We had an incident with our vehicle (flat tire) on a Saturday.  Jackie and Collin were amazing and lent us an air pump to be able to make it to the tire repair shop. (They even provided us with the telephone number to the place). Thanks to their help, we were able to go out sightseeing the same day.  Breakfast was very good and the property is well taken care of.  I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. Thank you for your help and God bless.

Excellent!

Awesome time, forever grateful

I came close to leaving this place after my first sleepless night.  The bed in Room 7 desperately needs to be replaced because it is so worn that you roll to the middle.  I even had trouble getting out of bed because I had to roll to the side and pull myself out!!  Even moving to the other side of this old bed did not help much.  

Room was clean, but really needed refurbishment, especially the bed.  Horrible.

Worst bed in years of travel!

Corran House is for sale. The owners have given up and were not interested in their customers. The room was cold. The breakfast was cold and laid out the night before. 
The view was nice and the shower was warm. It is close to the UIG ferry.
