We had a wonderful stay here and Jo and Keiron couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating.  The breakfasts were delicious, good choices and cooked perfectly. The rooms were clean and comfortable and a short walk from the centre of Inverness over the river. We would definitely recommend staying here if you want to feel at home!


My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights for the Loch Ness marathon. The location was great, just a short walk to the city centre. Lots of B&Bs on this street. The hosts were fantastic and even made an early breakfast before the marathon and dropped me off at the start!

So we either didn't want to leave or we wanted to take Kieron, Jo and Myrtle (their adorable lab) back home with us!

Entering their B&B is like getting a warm hug from your dearest friends after a long journey.  Cozy, comfy and homey. 

They were generous and helpful in every way possible- going above and beyond to make our stay both at the guesthouse and in Inverness the best possible experience for us and our teen daughters!

Had one of the best stays in B&B. We stayed there for 4 nights. The place is conveniently located close to the station and nearby for a walk alongside River Ness.
It is just a 10 mins walk from the station with a lot of restaurant options in the station area. 

The hosts Kieron & Jo both are so warm and welcoming. Wonderful to have great conversations with both of them.
Each day had a good choice of breakfast selection which was cooked by the hosts and list was shared a day prior so that you can select the required options.
Having pancakes is a must as they are the lightest and the fluffiest pancakes that you would have :).
We also did 2 trips with Keiron which he has started recently as a tour option
Trip 1 was a Skye tour  - Sligachan Old Bridge, Capital Of Skye: Portree, Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rocks, Fairy Glen, Quariang, and a load of wonderful scenic routes 
Trip 2 was Glenfinnan Viaduct, Forst Augustus, Views of Ben Nevis, and the wonderful routes to immerse in the beauty of Inverness

Both the trips were amazing and quite good from a budget perspective considering it was a personalized trip where you could spend as much as the time that you wanted to spend in a place.It was an enjoyable experience and it helps if you are a Liverpool fan or a cricket fan for excellent conversations :D

Overall a very good experience and would definitely return back here for Inverness stay :) 

A return visit to this cosy B&B. Jo and Kieron are wonderful hosts, rooms have everything you need for your stay, beds are fantastic with good quality mattresses and pillows. Good choice of quality produce. Would highly recommend, arrive as a visitor leave as a friend

This B&B and their hosts are a hidden gem in Inverness. Rooms lovely, bed so comfy, permit given duration of stay for free parking. The breakfast wow, having stayed in many B&Bs I’ve got to say this was hands down the best cooked breakfast I’ve ever had, obviously the best quality ingredients used and cooked to perfection. Kieron & Jo we will 100% be back. Loved ur place ❤️

Stayed here for 2 nights, made very welcome by owners, Jo and Kieron. Large family room, very comfortable spotlessly clean beds. Best nights sleep I've had in ages. large bathroom. Great shower. Breakfast was very tasty, cooked fresh using quality ingredients

A warm welcome,  amazing hosts.  Everything was perfect,  Jo is so nice,  had some good talks. The breakfasts were really good, had the traditional and pancakes. The fresh fruit every morning was nice. Thank you for my stay, i really enjoyed it.


This was a perfect little B&B in Inverness. It is within walking distance to everything in town. Took me less than 10 minutes to walk to the train station. My room was incredibly comfortable with a perfect shower that had the right water pressure and continuous hot water! The hosts are very kind, helpful and accommodating. Their dog Myrtle was the sweetest! I also had the absolute best breakfast of my entire trip! It was so delicious and filling! I am thankful for the hosts taking such good care of me. It’s really comforting to find a safe and cozy place like that as a solo female traveler. I will stay there again if I ever have the opportunity to return to Inverness.

Having never been to Inverness was made to feel very welcome on arrival from Kieran, visiting for the Gathering Festival which was a short walk away. Adequate, clean and comfortable room, private bathroom. Met Jo at breakfast and had some good chats, could have talked to Jo all day. Breakfast was delicious, I will book for next year, but hope can visit earlier!

Wonderful hosts, homely stay

I was at the "Strathallan" in December as a base for a certain project. 
What I was looking for: own bathroom, breakfast included, free parking, short distance to town center and reasonable rates.
That's what I got. My room was rather small but good enough for my needs. My window was looking out on Kenneth Street. In December there is not too much traffic in Kenneth Street so there was only one hour in the morning and one in the night, when trafffic noise was disturbing me. (But I must say - we have none at home so I'm not used to noise in the night.)
Bathroom not ensuite - in many cases better than creating an ensuite by cutting a bit off your room leaving both parts too small.
Breakfast with freshly made fruit salad! That's what I love.
Traditional cooked breakfast. Well done!
Talked a bit with the lady and both of us enjoyed it.
Parking in the street for permit holders only - but you get the card from the host. Fair enough.
After all - was good enough for what I wanted.

We stayed here for 4 nights while visiting family & were made very welcome by Kieran & Jo who run a very nice place with their dog Myrtle who is a sweetheart. The room was spotlessly clean & was cleaned everyday. Breakfast was a multiple choice affair & was excellent. It’s a very pleasant 15 minute walk into Inverness over the lovely Greig St bridge on the river ness. There are no negative points about this little gem.

Splendid Guesthouse

I stayed here for three nights and they were three comfortable quiet nights with friendly informative hosts.
Absolutely no faults. Close to the centre , 10 minute walk across the river and your there.
Kieron actually took the time to drive me to pick up my hire car !
I really thought that was great service over and above expectations.
The room also has loads of info placed in a book to aid in getting around , things to do etc.
Oh yes , breakfast is pre ordered and its comes exactly how you want it. Really very good indeed.
Great value. Nice hosts. Good location. Whats not to like.
Great price too by the way.
