The first ones we met on arrival at beautiful Daviot were the two gorgeous Highlander bulls grazing quietly. Margaret met us and showed us around the lovely house and up to our room. We settled a bit and headed into Inverness, just a short drive away. Then the car made an awful noise! Panic, right back to the house. It was a Sunday. Not much could be done. Margaret was so kind as to prepare some food and make us feel a bit better. So lucky that the next day, a mechanic told us how to fix the rattle (turned out to be a stone in the brake lining). We won't soon forget the kindness shown us by Margaret and Alex.

We were greeted by Margaret when we arrived and shown to our lovely room with rural views. She booked us into a great place for dinner and we have enjoyed her delicious breakfast each morning. We have found this a great place to stay with lots of extra treats provided by the hosts. If we were to ever return to this gorgeous area we would happily stay here.

Alec and Margaret were exceptional hosts. Their property is immaculate, beautiful, warm and accommodating. This was truly a luxury stay with amazing service. From the breakfasts, well stocked rooms to the new candies left in room this was a great experience and stay. 

If you visit make sure you say hi to Boris and Doogal!

The Daviot Lodge was a very clean and comfortable place to stay.  The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the bathroom was up to date.  The entire facility was exactly what you would expect from a B&B.  Daviot Lodge is in a rural location about 15 minutes from Inverness.  This provides a very serene setting.  We enjoyed watching the cows in a nearby field.

We unexpectedly found ourselves heading to Inverness and last minute booked
the room.  It was the perfect distance from Inverness and allowed us to visit a small village and country tavern down the road which we also loved.  The lodge is spotlessly clean and charmingly
decorated. The breakfast was also delicious. A highlight for us was to have a view of 2 highland cow s grazing in the green fields. The sheets were luxurious and the room very comfortable. It was a perfect stay. It offered the best of both worlds..city and country.

We had a lovely couple nights at Daviot lodge. Highly recommend to anyone staying in the Inverness area but wanting to be removed from the city. Very cozy and comfortable stay. Enjoyed the peace and quiet and the lovely outdoors. Hoping to return one day!

Before we arrived Margaret contacted us to draw our attention to the 3 for 2 deal. We hadn’t noticed this so we were really pleased to take up this offer
The room we were in was called Nairn and is stunning with beautiful views over the countryside and has everything you could possibly need/want including a very welcoming decanter of Sherry. 
The guest house is in the country in a rural position but only a 10 min drive to Inverness 
Breakfast was delicious and served on nice hot plates by Alec who has a lovely sense of humour.
All in all one of the nicest places we have stayed and we plan to return when time allows

Daviot Lodge is absolutely gorgeous, set in the country beside the woods. The perfect place for peace and quiet. The rooms are beautifully decorated, with everything you need, including a mini fridge. The hosts were so friendly and attentive. The breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked, using good quality produce. Definitely recommend this place to anyone planning a stay in the area. 10/10.

The best B&B I have ever stayed in - 5*. Beautiful room and bathroom (immaculately clean) with lots of luxurious details. Great hosts, fantastic breakfast and beautiful location. I highly recommend this B&B.

Absolutely Stunning

We were greeted by Margaret and shown to our room which was outstanding. The bathroom and shower were excellent with great water pressure and everything was spotless. In our opinion this was a great place to stay. The breakfast was cooked to order by Margaret and delivered by Alex with a little Highland humour and a smile. ( behind the mask). Great value for money and highly recommended.

Top B&B for Inverness difficult to better.

Fabulous property run by lovely people.  Margaret and Alex (not forgetting Dougal and Boris the two resident Highland Cattle!) made our first three nights in Scotland at the beginning of our 'Highland Adventure' perfect.  Great location just outside of Inverness but within easy reach of several villages with good pubs and Inverness centre.  Lovely room, spotless and with excellent attention to detail.  Nice that the shower in our room was built in  (i.e. separate cubical )and had both a hand held shower option as well as the rainfall style and an area within the shower to put your toiletries!!  You would be surprised at how many places don't have anywhere to put your shower gel etc once you are in the shower!   I am pretty sure that all the rooms are the same, certainly the two rooms we had were.  Nice touch with the sherry and couple of chocolates to greet you in your room when you arrived!  Breakfast served in a lovely, spacious breakfast room with views over the front garden.  If you are a bird lover you will enjoy the view as Margaret and Alex have made provisions for all our feather friends too.  Lovely lounge area for guests to relax if they wish or have time!   We cannot recommend the B&B highly enough.  Thank you.
