We booked 2 rooms here when we came to Cambridge to see Dara O'Brien at the corn  exchange. Easy to find. Parking at the property, a real bonus in Cambridge. Only 8 minutes by car to central Cambridge.
Rooms spotlessly clean, hosts very accommodating, breakfast amazing value.
Would definitely stay here again.

Arrived very early (my fault) and unsurprisingly the room wasn’t ready, went for a coffee and within half an hour had a text from Charlotte to say I could check in. The room was light, fresh and spotless with a nice en suite shower room. I would not hesitate to stop here again and the price was far less than I should have paid for this standard of accommodation.

Great place for visiting Cambridge and. Duxford.
Lovely clean,warm room.
We arrived late as we had spent time in Cambridge on the way down.
The instructions we received by Email to get in were clear and we had no problem. Parking was fine.
My husband and I spent two night here. We stayed here for a event at Duxford. It only took us 15 mins to get to the Imperial War Museum. It will be better when the road works have finished on the A14.
We had full English breakfast both days. They were well presented and filling.

Great location near the A14 as a perfect traveller’s rest and includes a parking space at the front of the property. The accommodation was well organised (no need to check in, no fuss, just use the key safe code provided by email), good value for money and a very clean and comfortable room with en-suite, kettle and TV. The walls are very thin and I could hear the chaps in the other rooms who came in late, so if you’re a light sleeper, take some ear plugs. I would definitely stay here again when travelling through the area and I appreciated Alder Lodge giving me a surprise free upgrade (thanks Charlotte)! Recommended for an overnight stay.

Loved it had off road parking, room was clean and it was great value. City centre only 10 minute drive. Would like if it had anti back soap in the bathroom instead of shower gel option. There's hand sanitiser at the entrance, but really wished could have a good hand wash 

We had a very good and pleasent stay with Simone & Stuart! Nice and cosy room, good breakfast and very kind and helpful hosts! A good place to stay when you visit Shetland, near the town center (walking distance)!

Stayed here for 1 night and Alders Lodge was easy to find and accessible by car or bus.  The rooms were clean and comfortable.  Didn’t have the breakfast as was leaving first thing.  Would stay here again.

I have just finished staying a week here and thought I would write a review. 

I stayed in room 4 a twin room with ensuite. 

The room was quite spacious, really clean and cosy, nice new carpet and clean bedding/towels. 

The shower was hot and fast every morning. My room was always cleaned when I returned from work. 

I'm currently consulting for a company on the science business park and the location of the guest house was perfect just a short 10minute walk every day. 

Breakfast every morning was served with a friendly smile, I'm vegetarian with a wheat intolerance and they catered well for me, having mushrooms beans on toast with fresh coffee to start the day. 

I will certainly be returning during the length of my contract. 

I booked Alder Lodge based on the reviews on here, my budget and the vicinity to Cambridge centre.

Unfortunately we had to move the date due to childcare arrangements but Charlotte was very helpful and kindly arranged a suitable weekend before sending confirmation.

A few days before our arrival Charlotte sent further information via email with details such as the code for the lockbox, self check-in so you don't need to arrange an arrival time.

Alder Lodge was easy to find, on the left along one of the main routes to the city, and we easily parked in one of the spaces out the front.

The lockbox instructions worked perfectly and we found our room without any issues.

The room itself was nice and clean with tea and coffee making facilities a smallish TV and little shower room. The decor was nice and neutral with enough storage space for all our things.

The only very slight negatives (and by no means a reason not to book), the shower room is a bit dated but the shower worked well, the TV could've been mounted on the wall facing the bed to make it easier to watch.

After unpacking we popped on the bus into the centre of Cambridge, the bus stop virtually opposite runs every 10 minutes during the day (Saturday) was £4.50 return and only takes 20 minutes. Much cheaper than a whole days parking! The bus also returns back late, although it seems to take a little longer and the times are less frequent later on. Still a convenient way of getting to and fro.

We contacted Charlotte to book breakfast for the next day, £6 each, and after a very comfortable night's sleep we ventured downstairs for a choice of cereal and fruit juice before ordering our coffee and cooked breakfast.
It didn't take long for the cooked food to arrive and it was hot, plentiful and tasty, I may have changed the sausage but that's about it. A very convenient and good value breakfast.

I'd gladly stay here again when we return to Cambridge, for the price it can't be beaten!

I booked a twin room room here for one night. The room was very clean but a bit far from the city centre. However, is near to a bus stop that goes to the city centre.

The room had a fan, kettle and lots of towels.

Guests have to self check in. Charlotte, who I think is the owner sends a text and email message with a code to a box outside the building which gives access to keys.

The room was really good value for money. For dinner I ordered a take away to the guest house. The guest house does provide breakfast but we decided to eat out.
