Wow what can I say, fabulous place to stay, lovely friendly hosts, lovely large room with en-suite and incredible breakfast. In a good location on a local bus route and pleasant walk into the main town. Thank you Sandi and Dave for your hospitality we had a great time.

Comfortable room, with good en-suite.  Very good breakfast with plenty of choice and very pleasant owners. A walk away from everything, what more do you need! We would definitely stay again and recommend.

Fantastic place for a couple of days break. Hosts were great, room airy, clean and well appointed. Breakfast was ordered the day prior with plenty of choice and cooked to perfection. Could not fault the hosts, very welcoming, would not hesitate to recommend. 

The wife and I booked a few weeks ago for a long weekend in Ilfracombe. We came across Burnside guest house on the internet, it looked exactly what we needed. On arrival after a terrible journey we were greeted by the owner Sandie, very pleasant and gave us a warm welcome. We were shown to our room, told about the house and breakfast and left to relax. The room was lovely, warm, nice bed and bathroom, tea and coffee and tv everything we needed for a couple of nights. Sandie explained to us how to get to the town where all the restaurants are so off we went. The whole stay was excellent, the breakfast was amazing and filling. Sandie and husband David were very good hosts and very knowledgeable about local area which was very handy for our first time in ilfracombe. Well worth a visit.

We stayed for 3 nights. Sandie & Dave were very friendly & welcoming. The room was very comfortable with tea, coffee, hot chocolate & biscuits that were replenished once used. It was very clean with an en suite. Breakfast was fantastic- pre selected for the hot choice the night before, with also cereal, yogurts, toast & jams- a really great choice, cooked once you go for breakfast so always fresh. Very enjoyable stay, we will definitely be back and would highly recommend a stay here.

Rang to book last minute room for one night. Couldn't have been more helpful and understanding. Lovely clean cosy room for the night and breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty. Was made very welcome and would recommend. 10/10 for making us welcome. 

Yet another fabulous 3 night stay at the Burneside. Dave and Sandie are the perfect hosts and are very welcoming. Our room had a four poster bed and was very inviting with lovely decor with en-suite. Tea/coffee facility's were provided, with bottled water and biscuits also. Free WiFi and off road parking was a bonus. The breakfast is outstanding. This includes cereal, fruit, yoghurt, full English, or you can choose scrambled egg etc on toast, toast with a choice of jams/marmalade. The fried slice (fried bread) is the best I have ever had. Dave and Sandie are always on hand for advice, and have a fab sense of humour, and are genuinely the nicest people I have ever met. We will definitely be visiting again.

First class guest house.lovely breakfast in the morning. Very good location as bus into town just on the door step. Dave and Sandie are very welcoming couple and can't help you enough. Would highly recommend.

Just an old Victorian house on an ordinary road....till you get inside, welcomed at the door by the owner and shown the room, exceptionally clean and cheerfull, friendly, warm, well decorated, attention to detail was perfect, spotless shower, comfy bed, all the usual bits and bobs in the room.

Breakfast was great, cooked selection list filled in the night before with all usual cereals and juices as well.
Close to town and harbour, hope we can find a reason to visit again!!!

Stayed for two nights in room 1. Friendly greeting from Sandie and was impressed with the readily available hand sanitisers. Spacious room with small functional en suite. Off road parking too which was a bonus. Firm mattress (we both slept well with it). Brekky was 8:30-9:00 with your traditional selection with cereals, fruit, juices and cooked options. Overall, it was a comfortable stay and reminded me of childhood seaside B&B holidays.
