Parsonage Farm Bed & Breakfast

Cream tea on arrival.
Friendly, clean, efficient. Better than any hotel. 
For families, lots to do, Warhorse Museum,  Working Farm and amusements galore - the children can forget their Iphones and enjoy the countryside.
We just look forward to returning in the near future.

We stayed here for the weekend and loved everything about it. The location is gorgeous, the farmhouse lovely, the suite super, the hospitality great and the breakfast yummy. Perfect for a lovely relaxing break away from it all.

Can't review the farm and didn't stay in b&b but needed to review so here goes,,, this place is an amazing day out! Cream tea was lovely, the home of "war horse" the atmosphere fab with two amazing little goats! The farmer amazing we got to watch the cows been bearded before watching them been milked and the farmer didn't mind my 100 questions 😃
Will 100% return when in the area and hopefully stay in the b&b 

Best day of my holiday. What an amazing time we had. We see a calve being born and then helped out with the cows.  Such a lovely friendly farm who gave us nothing but their time. Will strongly recommend this to anyone and on the plus you are supporting local farmers. Thanks again guys 

My Husband and I were privileged to be able to attend the special 40th anniversary  evening event  for the charity Farms for City children , in early July. At this its founder Michael Morporgu read  his book War Horse accompanied by former National Theatre song man, Ben Murray at Nethercott Farm where the charity was founded and we needed a bed and breakfast located near to the event.
we had been advised to contact rose at Parsonage Farm b and b to see if she had any vacancies for the two nights in question and she did even being able to help with my husband's requirement of vegetarian breakfast .

We travelled up to Devon having a good run except for the last little bit when I did not give my husband the directions Rose had emailed us - this resulted in a detour along some very narrow, typical, Devon lanes but eventually we returned to where we had started from and this time we followed Rose's  directions arriving in a matter of minutes!

On arrival Rose was there to meet us and her first words were like nectar - "would you like a cream tea or tea and cakes"? - no prizes for which we took  - and Rose's scones were the melt in the mouth variety. As we sat in the lovely conservatory talking to other visitors who were looking around "War Horse Valley Country Farm Park"- this is also run by Rose and Graham and is worth a visit for its own merits alone - the peace of the countryside enveloped us both.  

Our room - a double room at the front of the farmhouse was beautifully furnished and equipped and the ensuite bathroom and shower were also filled with lovely hand and bath lotions - nothing could have been added to the this perfect room! During our  stay whenever we opened the window the sounds of the countryside invaded our senses - the sound of the cows being led to be milked, the dogs barking as they carried out their duties, the sounds of the birds - all the lovely country sounds we take for granted were there 

Breakfast was a delight to partake of and on both days Rose provided my husband with a lovely vegetarian breakfast 

Both of us are already trying to find an excuse to return to Parsonage Farm b and b - I would be very happy to just visit and sit in the lovely conservatory with a book or take a long leisurely walk around the surrounding  countryside - if you want to venture further there are plenty of places to visit - we had a nice day in Morwellham Quay  - if you have seen the programme of the Edwardian Farm - this was filmed here

If you are a lover of the book/play/film of War Horse do take time to look around the war Horse Valley country park which is also at Parsonage Farm - Rose and Graham have obviously worked hard on this and every year they add additional features - this year with a world war 1 trench with sound effects - I will need to come back very soon to be able to read and digest all the information at the museum  - this is housed where the Jack  Russell's in the story were bred.  Additionally around the farm are animals to see and pet, lovely horses including one called joey and then you can end with refreshments including a cream tea! 

Rose if I had the score cards from Strictly Come Dancing you would score a perfect 10/10
