This was a place where there definitely was food for the soul as well asfor the body! Pam was the most amazing host and breakfasts  were fabulous! I was here with a crazy retriever and nothing was too much trouble. Just a lovely little piece of heaven on earth and would go back in a second! Cannot recommend this place enough!


Pam the owner is fantastic nothing is a problem and her full english breakfasts are awesome, also lots of cereal to choose from and fresh fruit platter.
Rooms and bathrooms are ever so clean.
The house is full of character from moment you walk through the door a pleasure to look around.
Lots of lovely scenery all around must be great for dog walking.
We had two nights of peace and quiet felt quite chilled after a hectic week at work.
Will be back soon 


Wow this place is excellent in every way, the room was really comfortable with a great view over countryside, everything was clean, neat and tidy, the breakfast was very, very good indeed, and last but not least for the host Pam nothing was too much trouble.
Would definitely stay here again.

I booked the king size room for myself and my dog, there was an amazing view which I wish I could wake up to every morning. Comfy bed, TV, nice bathroom, plenty of wardrobe space, I was lucky with the weather but if required heaters in room and plenty of additional bedding & even a hot water bottle, also hairdryer, kettle with tea, coffee etc.. breakfast was outstanding, garden was beautiful, Pam was lovely and really helpful, there was a garden centre next door (which you couldn’t hear any comings or goings) and about a 5 min drive from the town centre, would highly recommend.

We booked for 3 nights & Pam & her staff made us feel very welcome. Lovely room with great walked-in shower & lots of coffee & milk. The highlight of the stay is the breakfast. We were glad that we chose West Wold Farmhouse which is located in a rural setting & thank you for the hospitality during our stay. Highly recommended.

We booked west wold farm as a last minute trip away with our 13 week old baby and our sausage dog Frank. Pam was a delightful host! She made us all feel very welcome! Our room was cosy and very comfortable with a gorgeous view over the wolds! Pam gave us lots of good suggestions of where to head out for tea too. Breakfast was a real highlight with Pam cooking us eggs royale and smoked salmon with scrambled eggs.  We sat in the conservatory and admired pam’s lovely garden whilst being served coffee, toast and fresh juice. Location wise it was perfect for us with the house being rural enough that it was quiet and peaceful but within 5 minutes drive of Barton on Humber for some good pub grub! Thank you Pam for a lovely stay!

Booked West Wold Farm as a last minute option and we are so glad we did. The Farm is set in beautiful countryside and was so quiet and peaceful,the room was more than adequate for one night and very clean & quiet,we awoke to a lovely Full English cooked by Pam our host…now there are not enough superlatives to describe Pam,the most welcoming person I’ve ever met,nothing was too much trouble,on hearing we intended to walk into Barton upon Humber( 40 mins walk) she offered us a free lift and let us leave our car safe and secure on her premises,she is an absolute delight and we just can’t recommend this little b&b enough.

Have just spent 4 nights here doing some sightseeing in North Lincolshire and East Yorkshire. This is a very nice place and the host, Pam, was very welcoming.

I had a comfortable room with a nice bed. The views out of the windows are of the Lincolnshire countryside and it is very quiet,  apart from a couple of neighbouring cockerels.

Breakfasts are excellent, Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royale, are on offer if requested.

Even with satnav you might have difficulty finding the entrance,  which is just a gate width, and located immediately next to a not very busy garden centre. There is nothing in Deepdale itself, Barton on Humber has the usual services.

I had originally booked another, more expensive, guest house nearer Brigg. But I was 'bumped' by them, probably to accommodate a last minute wedding party. But instead I got a cheaper and just as good guest house ar Westwold, so overall I was better off.

 I have stayed in many places met many people, this place has warmth and friendliness, from when you enter the gate.Pam has to be one of the nicest and friendliest hosts i have ever met .

A wonderful host!

This funky old farmhouse has been partially modernised and offers a good standard of comfort. Given its rural location it was relatively clean, though the stairs carpet was a little soiled. My room and bathroom weres a bit cramped, and the low water pressure necessitated some ‘manoevring’ to activate the shower. Host Pam was charming and breakfast was delightful: fresh fruit salad, an excellent veggie plateful and nice strong tea. The only slight drawback was that evening meals are not available, so you need to bring your own provisions or drive into nearby Barrow for supper. Most of all, the price is very reasonably priced. Pam has dogs, but keeps them well away from the guests, though this might be an issue for someone who is highly allergic to pets. Overall a very good find and well situated for those visiting Hull, Grimsby or Scunthorpe or taking the ferry to Holland, without the hassles of being inside a busy city.

Little piece of heaven with its own angel

I found this hidden gem whilst on a training course. I stayed for 10 days and it was amazing! I was warmly welcomed by Pam who is quite possibly the nicest hostesses ever! I had a en-suite room and every day I went to my course when I returned my bedroom was like new again! Breakfast was served at a time convenient for me and tailored to my allergies. A full English every day I am a small lady and had to ask Pam for less but if you are a guy it’s the perfect breakfast. The views and serenity of the place are amazing. I took country walks and the locals are friendly I used Katie’s taxis and they also went above and beyond during my satay. Pam catered to my every need it’s a lovely traditional farm house and was the perfect rest bite away from my usual life. I will be asking for a break here for Mother’s Day. Great place to stay and get away for a quiet break.
