Just returned from a lovely stay at The Cambridge House. From super bedding, a spotless room, to crisp white table linen and a superb quality english breakfast (not forgetting the delicious homemade marmalade), we couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant stay. The hosts were warm, welcoming and great hosts. Reeth was a lovely village with three nice pubs, lots to see and do in the area. Highly recommend.

We had a great 3 nights at Cambridge House. Sheila and Robert are great hosts, very friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. Very comfortable large house with private conservatory and lounge for guests, so you don’t feel you are intruding in someone’s home. Very comfortable bed made for an excellent nights sleep and you wake up to wonderful views over the Dales. A pleasant stroll into the centre of Reeth too. Cake and tea on arrival and a hearty, varied breakfast from a full Yorkshire to a boiled egg and most things in between! Also enjoyed a nice pat and stroke with Peggy the Golden Doodle! Very happy and relaxed break and would definitely stay here again in lovely Swaledale. Highly recommend. Matt and John.

This was out first stay at Cambridge House but it won't be our last, that's for sure. I'm sure it's all been said in the other reviews, but here goes...... Sheila and Robert are wonderful hosts, really welcoming, making time for a chat, and a mine of information for walks around the area. The bedroom ("Mether" on the top floor) was simply beautiful with the most amazing view. Location about 5 mins' walk to the village centre on the Arkengarthdale road - very quiet over night. What have I missed....... delicious home made cake (mmmm) and the most superb breakfasts. Thank you so much! Peter and Clare.

We stayed in this lovely B&B in 2016  (our favorite on the Coast to Coast walk) and we’re booked again for later this May! Can’t wait to see Sheila and Robert again and introduce our son and daughter-in-law to this lovely accommodation.

2nd time here and we really enjoyed it again. The rooms are really lovely, also nice communal rooms which you can use if desired, and the hosts could not do enough, 2 lovely people, Sheilas cakes are gorgeous so dont say no if offered.
The accommodation is cosy and well appointed, nice views and quiet, the most noise you might hear is the pheasants. Its a little more pricey than the nearby pubs but absolutely worth it.

We unreservedly agree with everything written by your previous visitors, and we cannot praise Robert and Sheila too highly. They simply overlook nothing in making our stays so enjoyable each time, and we wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else !  Thankyou both.

Lovely bedroom  with fantastic views and very thoughtfully equipped to make your stay really memorable. Roaring fire in comfortable guest's lounge. Excellent substantial breakfast.  Our hosts Sheila and Robert were charming and very helpful with any queries and advice on local details. Their Covid  precautions made you feel very safe.  If all B&Bs were like Cambridge House, hotels would be out of business. We will certainly stay here again.

Cambridge House is an outstanding excellent 5 star rated Bed and Breakfast. Breathtaking views and situated in the village of Reeth. Sheila and Robert our hosts went out of their way to ensure our stay was to a very high standard. Our ‘Tan’ bedroom had such a comfy bed and pillows to ensure a wonderful nights sleep. Immaculately clean throughout the house adhering to Covid rules which was good to see. 
The guests lounge was wonderful to sit in during the evening with a log fire and superb decor.
Many luxurious touches feature at Cambridge House in both the bathroom and bedroom. Wonderful toiletries along with fluffy dressing gowns. Home made cake. Chocolates, along with your choice of beverages with fresh milk stored in a fridge handy to use. 
Breakfast choice and menu was second to none. All products used are mostly locally sourced and the best quality. The extra touch of ordering a picnic lunch from a great selection offered  is so helpful. 
Thank you Sheila and Robert we will be back. We are so lucky to have found a real gem.

Great place to stay if visiting this area of the Dales. We were made very welcome & as it was our anniversary a bottle of Prosecco had been left for us which is a fab touch, not to forget the gorgeous home made cake left for us too.
Room was lovely, spacious, large bed, felt posh, nice modern bathroom too. Cant fault the scrumptious brekky, hosts on hand to advise on all our questions.
Will be staying again and would not hesitate to recommend

Stayed here for 5 days recently whilst visiting various attractions in Yorkshire & the neighbouring counties of Durham & Northumbria. Very easy to get around by car & thankfully, no queues for petrol, which was a problem elsewhere in the U.K. at the time! Very impressed from the start by the measures being taken by Rob & Sheila to help combat the COVID2 pandemic….there was hand sanitiser in the room plus little extras like cake, beverage sachets & chocolates. An extra breakfast time slot had been added to assist social distancing & the breakfast choices are superb. Guests safety & comfort was of prime importance …. very reassuring. Advice was given about booking & eating evening meals locally which saved valuable time & also help on places to visit, opening times & weather forecasts. The glorious Yorkshire sunrises on occasion just topped everything off. Hope to visit again next year…an excellent mini-break!

A Warm Welcome

A nice stay during our walk of the Herriot Way. Good bed and shower/ bath and lovely views from the room. Seemed strange, when only two rooms were occupied, to be on the top floor up two flights of stairs, when lower floor room would have been easier on our aching feet and for lugging our luggage up to? The only B and B on the route not to deliver our luggage to the room before we arrived. Minor niggles. When asking for a payment to fill our coffee flask for the following day ( again, the only B and B to do so), please specify in your literature that the payment goes to charity, as until we found this out the following day, we were quite miffed!

Best B&B in the U.K., let alone Yorkshire!

To be a "luxury B&B the room was tiny -no room or place except floor for 2nd bag  .Hot- no fan.  Biggest issue was requirement that WE were to put towels in a bag and then strip bed and put sheets and pillowcases in another bag .  Host insisted that this was for covid but NO other B&Bs luxury or otherwise in a 3 wk trip  insisted on these tasks on departure . Perhaps hosts do not understand that covid is spread  by aerosol in the air of tiny virus particles from an infected persons naso pharynx  NOT from "dead skin cells" on linen as host seems  to believe .    Positives ? Ample breakfast in lovely breakfast room  . Interesting guests at breakfast
