The Bath House was a lovely place to stay for our young family. The room was setup for all 4 of us on our arrival including the pull out sofa bed (comfy!) and baby travel cot. The room was immaculate. The breakfast was delicious and fresh each morning. Best of all, the manager was friendly, accommodating and made us feel very at home.

Nice little place. Its a restaurant with rooms and was nice and clean and good chinese food. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely the best place to stay in Chard. Would definitely go back if going to Chard.

Always a warm welcome at the Bath House. Lovely people. Breakfast is really good, ordered the previous evening for a time of your choosing. The poached eggs with smoked salmon and asparagus is my favourite.

Great place to stay!

Absolutely first class, made into a personalised experience by Corrine and Ron's devotion to their business. We spent an hour talking with Corrine at their outdoor drinks area, during which time all the local passers by acknowledged her. What an asset they are to the local community.Ron prepaeres the food to the highest standard as you can see by the Beef Rendang photo attached

Fantastic weekend break!!

We had a great stay at the Bath House hotel. The owner came out to meet us in the carpark and then we went inside to check in. Check in was swift and easy. They have hand sanitizer by the door and wear masks and gloves. We got some great advice about what to do the following day. The whole place seemed, and smelled, very clean and the room was great. A good size and plenty of space. We had a family room as there were 4 of us. We just wanted to eat at the hotel as it was fairly late for the kids. The restaurant hadn’t reopened yet from the closure, but they said they could cook us some Chinese food, Yes Please! The food was delicious. My kids are already planning when we can go back.

Personally it’s the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Pleasant and clean rooms, great food and service. Amazing staff, everyone is incredibly generous and friendly. They always do their best to keep the guests happy and make them feel welcome. All in all I highly recommend staying here, I am definitely going to choose this hotel for my next trip again.

I don't often take time to leave review but Bath House was definitely worthy of high praise. I stayed here for one night whilst travelling on business. The owners were welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Evening meal and dinners was absolutely 1st class. Room was cosy, quiet and comfortable. The owners obviously go out of their way to ensure guests and diners have a 1st class experience and I would not hesitate to stay here again if I'm next in Chard for business or pleasure.The property is also centrally located if you want to venture out as I did.Thank you and well done.

Would like to come back

If you’re looking to stay in Chard then this is the place to stay. Just spent 3 nights there in Hollywood suite and can’t speak highly enough of the whole experience. The staff are friendly and helpful and the room was lovely, clean and fresh with the most comfortable bed ever! The air conditioning was a godsend with the recent hot weather! Large en-suite with a bath & shower in ours. The breakfast was (according to my husband)the best full English he’s ever had and he has had a few in his time 😋 . Never had the chance to sample the restaurant unfortunately  but heard excellent things about it. If we are out that way again then we most definitely will be booking in here again.

Bath House Hotel is a friendly, efficient restaurant and small hotel. The food was good, breakfast & evening, and the Malaysian 'specials' were well done. The staff could not have been more helpful, even to finding the right newspaper to drop on the breakfast table. We would go back anytime. We did not see much of Chard, but did visit its reservoir / nature reserve which has a good bird hide and lots of huge fish (carp) to keep children happy. Travel to the coast was quick and easy and the hill country was green and well provided with walking routes..

A pleasant weekend in Chard

We received a warm and friendly greeting upon arrival and were looked after extremely well for all of our stay. The hotel is spotless throughout and is run by a family who want their visitors to enjoy their stay. Food is excellent and is cooked to order. Delicious!Only slight downside is that as this is a small hotel, there are no lifts thus it is not really suitable for those with mobility issues as all rooms are 'upstairs'. For all other visitors, you will enjoy your visit.

Warm and friendly

Nice hotel, the service was good, we didn't find chard the cutest town but if you are driving it is a fairly quick drive in to Dorset where you can find lots of lovely places to see and eat at. The rooms are clean but the only downfall was the sky light was covered by a blind (Executive room - much smaller than expected) which lets light in and can disturb your sleep. Breakfast was quite average. Overall it was a nice stay 4/5.

Weekend away

Extremely good hotel with manager her friends and chef going out of their way to help.  Chard is away from a lot of the major attractions but to those Brits that have cars and are used to the English roads, use this hotel.  As an Australian I found the road system a bit intimidating but the people at this hotel more than made up for it.The breakfast is amazing with high quality local muesli and a great menu for the cooked section. Well worth it.
