I held my daughters baby shower in the function room last Saturday , the manager David and his staff were so incredibly accommodating and helpful, very friendly nothing was to much trouble Function room was a good size to fit 50 people 
I'll definitely return for a family gathering very soon and recommend it to anyone looking for a local  venue.

Decided to give the Heathfield a try for lunch. On arrival the staff were very pleasant and friendly. Ordered drinks and given a table with menus. The food was lovely, you weren't rushed and there was a pleasant atmosphere. Will look forward to returning in the future.

We received a very friendly welcome when we visited The Heathfield for a meal and drinks with our family and 2 dogs.  The staff were helpful and the service was very good.  We all enjoyed tasty meals and my husband was pleased that they served local ales.  The dogs enjoyed a few treats from the bar and the attention they received from staff!  Great local pub. We will definitely be visiting again, thank you

The pub has been taken over recently and if our Sunday roast is anything to go by their on the right track.

Lovely staff, great food and lovely clean room. The hotel was in a great position for attending a wedding at Deer park country house only a short 10 mins drive away. We stayed here the night before our son’s wedding, dinner was lovely and great choice, breakfast was a choice of standard and large full English, large was very large, continental breakfast, well everything you could want for breakfast. We decided we will return just so we can enjoy the hotel one more time. Recommended.

Found this hidden gem whilst staying in Honiton for a wedding. The food was amazing, we had duck to start which was incredible and full of flavour, halloumi,  risotto and chicken and rib combo for mains. Not forgetting a delicious cookie dough for desert! Huge portions too,  couldn’t fault it. Brilliant  staff so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend! (Wish I had taken some photos!) thank you! 

Really impressed. Very friendly & helpful. Very dog friendly, we had 3 dogs with us. 
Room was a decent size. 
Could not fault the full English breakfast.

A charming Inn with very friendly and attentive staff. Rooms and breakfast were excellent for a reasonable price. We were made to feel extremely welcome by our host and nothing was too much trouble. If you are looking for value for money I would highly recommend the Heathfield Inn.

We stay here for 3 night in a Four poster bedroom it was very comfortable and clean and tidy. Thank you Steve and Carley. The breakfast was lovely and has much as coffee and tea has we wanted. My wife had her 60 th birthday party here and was very well organised. We are going back next year lovely charming cottage pub. Thank you Steve and Carley for making us so welcome. Thank goodness for a proper pub. By that I mean a pub where you can just have a drink and aren’t made to feel you have to eat though you can if you want to. I really don’t like pubs where all tables are laid up with cutlery as seems to be happening in so many places. The Heathfield has a restaurant which is completely separate from the main pub. A decent pub and my husband says the Guinness is excellent.

We stayed for just one night in August 2022.  Loved the historic character of the Inn.  We ate in the restaurant and found the food to be good and with large portions.  Our only concern for a future stay would be the lack of air conditioning or fans.  All rooms are on the second level and so the temperatures are above average.  While the early evening was quite warm, it seemed to cool off in the evenings with the windows opened (although leaving the windows opened also let in bugs) and some ambient noise from the pub downstairs.  Overall, we found our stay enjoyable, but would be hesitant to book again when temps have the potential to be warmer.

Interesting old property but could do with some tlc. Not in the nicest of areas and too far to walk to town. Good spacious comfortable room with 4 poster. Very helpful staff . Had an evening meal and breakfast both were good quality, about what you would expect from a pub/restaurant chain. The bar needs updating /cleaning, was a bit smelly and seemed long overdue for a refurb.  Would definitely stay here again.
