This is a very charming relaxing  small Hotel.
Tucked away just off the main street in Blakeney.But only a short walk from the Harbour and the start of some beautiful walks across the marshes.
The guest rooms are of a very high standard .The Nespresso coffee machine being a nice touch.
We had dinner here on our second night and it was VERY GOOD. And at a very reasonable price.
Breakfast was pre- ordered the night before (which we quit like) The choice and the quality was excellent.
And we our both looking forward to returning soon.

One of the best places to stay for total relaxation in North Norfolk. Excellent and unobtrusive service, sublime food and inspiring decor all work together to provide the bliss that is a successful break. This is our 2nd visit and our high expectations were met.

Can't believe we have never eaten here,despite visiting for over 20 years at least annually, possibly because it's slightly off the main road. A warm welcome, shown around by the team, enjoyed a gin and tonic in the bar whilst ordering  .everyone very friendly and helpful, delicious food ,vegetarian-friendly, will definitely return, highly recommend, thank you for a lovely evening.

We returned again to our favourite North Norfolk retreat with a very warm welcome from Paul. We arrived late afternoon on the Friday and our weekend started with a complimentary glass of fizz relaxing in front of the roaring open fire in the inviting bar.
Both Friday and Saturday night we enjoyed delicious 3 course meals in the restaurant. The breakfasts were again excellent with a fantastic choice. The Blakeney House team go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in the Blakeney room with its fantastic en-suite, which has a fabulous view of the gardens and beyond.

This is a gem of a place. Beautiful quiet setting and as their brochure states, a real home from home. The ethos is on informality, with everything geared to making your stay relaxing and comfortable. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and here the manager Sean,who served us during the evenings, warrants a special mention. Quietly efficient he had a smile and time for everyone - a real ambassador for their hotel.
The food was quite simply exceptional and they are fully deserving of their AA 5* restaurant with rooms rating. The  A La Carte offerings were beautifully presented, were wonderful value and represented the tastiest and best food  we have experienced for a very long time. 
All the above was coupled with a very homely bedroom with a very comfortable bed and an excellent shower. We will most definitely stay again if we return to this area.

We have just returned from our first 3 night stay. We were meant to come earlier in the year but had to cancel at short notice. We had very generously been allowed to just transfer our deposit to a new booking rather than losing it as per the Cancellation policy, so were already feeling that Blakeney House has a level of customer focus that is a bit out of the ordinary! 

This place is an absolute gem! It really is a lovely relaxed home from home but with a total focus on customer needs and comfort. All the staff are friendly, helpful, relaxed whilst ensuring that what you need/want is what you get! 

Our room was at the top of the house with a small view across the rooftops to the sea. The room was clean,  nicely decorated and well arranged to utilise the space comfortably. Shower was hot, and lovely toiletries provided. A lovely comfy bed, a couple of very comfy chairs, good tea/coffee arrangements. nice biscuits etc. A nice touch was to have a selection of tea bags left out on the landing so that we could replenish with our preferences as necessary! No hanging about waiting for a teabag to be delivered to our room if we were running short! Fresh milk is provided on request which is nice too. 

The nightly changing tasting menu was a revelation! Every night was different with a wide range of different dishes and we tried things we would never have chosen in a restaurant! On one night we had the Wine flight as well which was nice. The amounts of each wine served were certainly generous compared to other wine flights we have experienced! Food was consistently delicious, beautifully presented and we think that the £60.00 per night price is incredibly good value as a fine dining experience. Really lovely! 

Breakfasts are also generous with a very wide selection and all delicious. You can order as much as you like from the selection. The unusual pre-ordering arrangement works really well, as one arrives at the table to have everything laid out ready and then each thing is served as one finishes. It is really efficient, even though different to normal these days, but we liked it. 

The location on Blakeney is ideal, close to the Quay and easy for setting off on walks etc or for catching the Coaster bus etc. And in the nice weather, arriving back in the afternoon and sitting in the garden with a refreshing drink is just another bonus!

We would definitely recommend Blakeney House. Worth every penny!



We stayed here for the weekend to celebrate our friends 50th.  Where to start? We had a large bedroom, with a bay window overlooking the garden.  Plenty of storage for our clothes, very comfortable bed and the room beautifully furnished and decorated.  Our large en-suite had a bath with a separate shower cubicle.  Room and bathroom pristine. 
The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice.  The meals reflected what you would expect from a two AA  Rosette restaurant, amazing. We couldn’t fault it, and we are foodies! 
Bar and restaurant felt homely and also nicely decorated.  
Staff very efficient and friendly! 
We will be back, thank you for a wonderful stay!

What a great stay with our family . Beautiful rooms,  great service and AMAZING food ..Paul and Louise made us really welcome , Sean the Manager was superb and on hand day and night .  Great breakfast amazing Pork belly at dinner we will definitely be back great value 

We arrived Friday for a friends 50th Birthday. We had a wonderful weekend the rooms are spacious, clean  and welcoming. The food was outstanding throughout our stay, all the staff very accommodating to everyone’s needs. We cannot wait to return.

The location just off the high street is central yet secluded.  There is a large garden to enjoy in the September sun. 

A large comfortable room with the biggest bed is twinned with a fantastic three course breakfast to set you up for the day.  

The Sunday roast is unbeatable. The quality and value for money surpass anything else available in Blakeney.

Fabulous stay at Blakeney House!

Unbeatable Sunday roast

It's been six years since we last visited, and we weren't disappointed. It's gone from strength to strength. 
Lovely well appointed rooms in a great location. But the real gem is the head chef.... the breakfast is great, but the evening tasting menu would happily sit along Michelin star restaurants!

We arrived on Friday 10th February 2023.  We were shown to our room and the hotel procedures were explained to us.  It was a nice welcome.  The room itself was beautiful, very comfortable and clean.  The breakfast procedure was explained to us and at first I had some doubts but it worked beautifully.  You are given a card where you make your choices for breakfast.  Upon arrival at breakfast your cold course (orange juice/fruit/cereal) is waiting for you.  Once finished, your chosen hot course is brought to you.  There is no time delay and works really well.  Tea/Coffee is brought to you as you sit down.  Brilliant!  Also if you fancy something that is not on the breakfast menu, ask,  I had an omelette which was delicious, served fresh and hot!  I'm glad I asked.

On the Saturday night we had booked a 6 course taster menu at the hotel.  It was absolutely delicious.  I have a few intolerance's and all of these were taken seriously and even the main course (Venison) was changed for me.  I had lamb instead and it was gorgeous.  The Chef is a very talented person.  If you do nothing else, eat in the restaurant at the hotel.  I wish we could have stayed another night, just so we could eat there again.  One thing I will say....the wine is expensive!  We ordered a bottle of Chardonnay and we didn't check the price!  When we checked out the price of £50.00 was the cost of the wine!  It was a good one, but not sure the price was warranted.  So check the price before you order the wine!  Another thing, I wish we had been shown where the bar was, we didn't realise there was a bar until the Saturday night, and its a lovely bar!  We would have definitely gone in there on the Friday has we known about it.

The staff were really good,  friendly and extremely helpful.  One girl told us about some local walks, she was lovely and knows the area like the back of her hand.  I'm sorry I didn't get her name!!  Anyway ask them anything, they will help.  One thing I noticed about the people of Norfolk, they are really friendly.  A nice thing to experience.  Norfolk is a truly beautiful place.

Anyway, we would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat, I wish we stayed longer.

A brilliant weekend.

This is clearly a rather special place on the up.  The owners are investing in refurbishment and the star of the show is a chef whose expertise, honed in the best of Norfolk establishments, turns the five course tasting menu into a delight.  Having spent a weekend there we booked two more stays before leaving.
