Had a fantastic breakfast at Frasers. I had the full English, and I could not find a fault, it had everything you need. It was cooked to perfection, not fatty, not greasy, good quality sausage and bacon too. The wife had poached eggs also to perfection and runny!

Great Guest house and i had a lovely room out back, very nice area and the owner was lovely. Breakfast was amazing and she makes a mean sausage sandwich. 10/10 would recommend also the scones are delicious. Everything was clean i would certainly go back.

A very Cosy Guest House that has a big heart.  From the ladies who were so friendly and helpful, to the cosy welcoming clean bedrooms and bathrooms.  A welcoming lovely tea room too.  The gardens are lovely too and tables and chairs dotted around.  There was also an exit for guests to the Antique Market which is a bonus too if you love mooching around.
We had a gorgeous breakfast cooked to perfection by Georgie and we sat at a beautifully laid table with a perfect pot of tea. Also I know it's a little thing but to have beautiful cotton napkins is a luxury that we appreciated.  So  many places even hotels these days use  paper serviettes of differing qualities.  We sat at the table next to the window it was perfect.  However, all the tables are lovely.  The tea room is beautifully decorated and presented. As it's been said before you arrive as guests but leave as friends.  I so wished I could just pop back just for afternoon tea in the tea room but I'm in Linconshire.  Luckily we still have family in Essex so will get a chance to return to stay and get to sample the afternoon teas soon. Forget the chain hotel rooms.  This is so much more cosy and warm with a big heart.

I would highly recommend the Frasers Guest House to anyone. My husband and I needed a  break away and I am so pleased to have found this Guest House. We stayed in a garden room and it was perfect for our quite time away. breakfast was delicious and I can't wait to go again.

We held our Wedding in the Marquee and booked all six rooms at the guesthouse.  

Frasers Marquee - from the moment we met Frankie, we knew we were in good hands, she thought of everything, was great at communicating with us, offering suggestions and offering to put us in contact with suppliers if we had not already had something arranged and we had the most amazing wedding reception at Frasers Marquee.  We had plenty of positive comments about the quality and quantity of the food (we went for the BBQ option with a buffet later on) and the marquee is a great space to have a party, very little decoration needed as it is very pretty already with the silk lining, fairy lights, chandeliers and dancefloor.  There is a garden right outside with plenty of tables, a huge oak tree with rope swings that the kids loved and down the steps is another garden with lots of ornaments and statues which provided a great backdrop to some of our wedding photos.  

Frasers Guesthouse - we stayed in the Mexican Room but family stayed in the other 5 rooms and we all said the same thing: clean and comfortable, lovely fluffy pillows and duvet and really good value.  There was a basket with towels and water as well as tea, coffee and biscuits in the room.  The team had also left us a card and a bottle of champagne which was a lovely touch.  We slept well after our wedding and in the morning went downstairs where Georgie met us and made the most delicious cooked breakfast.  There was juice available in the dining room and tea and coffee came quickly.  We all had the full english which was made with lovely fresh produce and there was no problem swapping out some items for my daughter who doesn't like bacon!  

The staff at the marquee and the guesthouse were lovely, with nothing too much trouble.  I would highly recommend both the marquee for an event and the guesthouse for a comfortable night stay and lovely breakfast.

Very comfortable and clean in a good location. Georgie offers an excellent breakfast menu, I had the full English which didn’t disappoint, my wife had an egg Benedict which she described as the best she’d had.
Everything is prepared fresh, cooked and served by Georgie.
We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again

Stayed here for two nights with my family attending a wedding near by. We had four rooms two in the main house and two in the stables out the back, all lovely. Made to feel very welcome 🤗 breakfast was delicious. Customer service was amazing 🤩 Visit to the antique village next door worth a visit. Would definitely return again.

Lovely B & B - good breakfast nothing too much trouble. Great rooms lots of space would stay there again when in the area. We stayed for a couple of days had lovely time. They do afternoon tea which looked good even though we never had one.

Winner of 4 in a bed only recently you tend to get a feeling you are going to be on safe ground.
Frasers is smack in the middle of Antiques city which we found delightful.
You can spend hours mooching around in and out of every conceivable warren of shops within shops.
Thirsty there is a Micro brewery where you can while away the time people watching.
Frasers itself is timeless. The garden doubles as seating for afternoon teas, sandwiches and cakes.
Georgie is what we call in the Eastend " Different Gravy" always has a smIle, happy to chat and nothing too much trouble.
You have rooms inside the main house plus a couple separate in the garden.
Our garden room was all that you want for a short stay, Tea Coffee Towels Toiletries TV.
Overall a truly delightful stay. Go on try it yourself. I dare you.

Positives: quiet room, comfortable bed, warm room (possibly too warm), clean linen, nice large towel, well-stocked tea tray, steady flow of hot water in the shower, toiletries including conditioner, excellent full English breakfast including a nice, large pot of tea, friendly staff.
Negatives: if I was going to be picky I could mention the dust beside the bedside tables and on the lamps, and the cobweb above the bed.  I also found it very difficult to close the bedroom door.  I don't know if the tv remote needs new batteries, but I was unable to change programmes from the bed; I had  to get up and move closer to the TV.

No complaints!

Can’t wait to return

This was our second visit to Frasers and although we enjoyed our stay we did not find it as lovely as our first visit last year.  When we arrived we knocked on the front door which was not answered even though people could be seen having refreshments inside so we rang the number provided.  The gentleman told us where to access our room (the Stable) meanwhile a customer opened the front door for us and a member of staff wanted to book us in so we had to explain we had rung the phone number - it all got a bit confused.  We  also couldn't access the house for breakfast the next morning and knocked several times before, coincidentally, the same customer let us in.
The room was small but lovely and clean.  The breakfast lady was very polite and friendly but we felt a bit anonymous as there was no one else about.   Also no place set up on one day for breakfast although this was quickly sorted.
 The main house looked a bit forgotten. Old faded fake flowers that had fallen over all around, weeds in pots etc.
However love the location and had a great time exploring the antique centre

Second visit to Frasers

I travel to Essex with work quite regularly and wanted to find somewhere unique and homely rather than bland chain hotels for my overnight stays.    I found Frasers and it was perfect for my needs - like staying in a friends spare room - everything you could need and a lovely breakfast included.   I will now be making it a regular choice for my stays,
