We stayed here for one night but wish we could have stayed longer. We parked up, walked into reception and were greeted by the manager Chris. Simple check in and off we went to our room. We had room 14 with gorgeous views, immaculate modern bathroom with massive shower and a very handy hair dryer. The room was so cosy, with a really comfy bed. The best night's sleep in ages! We had a drink in the bar before bed and chatted to Chris who is a really nice guy. We hadn't pre booked breakfast but when we woke up we were peckish. I felt so at home here that I nipped down to the restaurant in my slippers and met Steve the chef. He was very welcoming and sorted us a table straight away. He cooked and served us the best breakfast and coffee we have had EVER. Then whilst chatting to him, along came Anne, she made our stay even better and more memorable with her friendliness and the stories she told us of the history of the Horseshoe Inn. We are sad about lockdown and hope to get the opportunity to stay here again really soon. It'll be awful if this place is flattened for development as it's so homely and we really want to return. My only regret is not taking more photos.
