We had a very comfortable and enjoyable 3 nights stay at this lovely hotel.  We had moved from another establishment (after an unpleasant night) and being in the peace and quiet of Nansloe Manor was a treat. 
Our room was large with views of the beautiful grounds. The rooms and indeed the hotel common areas are tastefully appointed. It is all light, bright and stylish. We found the location very convenient for exploring the area and we did lovely day trips to the nearby beautiful Cornish towns and attractions. 
The hotel staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. In particular we would like to thank Sue for her kind attention.

A weekend in September. Booking experience good but not internet exclusive, they need to call you to confirm. (This IS Cornwall)!
The accomodation & decor is faultless as is the front desk service.
The restaurant service on a Friday night  however is VERY slow, even if you are only  client #8 in line..  Fortunately there are better places to eat.

Impeccable accomodation but avoid the restaurant

Elegant and beautiful

Having recently stayed here we were disappointed on several fronts:

The room whilst spacious and elegant provided neither desk nor dressing table. There was no tray with kettle, cups etc. Upon request this was provided however at the price of the room we felt that this should be provided as standard.

Dinner was not a good experience either. Having arrived in the lounge we waited for almost 40 minutes before being provided with a menu, this could have been in no small measure due to the scarcity of staff. Starters were good however when no bread arrived to accompany the smoked salmon we requested some only to be presented with focaccia and olive oil which we were then charged for! The main meal was presented well however was not of the greatest quality, the meat being very dense and hard in nature. This quality of produce continued with the cheese course. Again, understaffing resulted in slow service even with only 12 people dining.

Staff especially at the reception desk and at breakfast were very friendly and professional.

Overall, the hotel is well situated and is elegant however for us it lacked any real atmosphere and was significantly overpriced.

Great potential but sadly lacking 

We were double booked, the hotel charged us months in advance and then cancelled a few DAYS before the date of the booking, which was also during a bank holiday weekend (so there were no more alternatives). They even claimed they knew the room had been unavailable for 5 months.

They refused to upgrade us for free (more expensive rooms were still available), insisting we should pay the full price if we wanted a room. The manager was extremely rude on the phone.

Avoid.

Double booked, extremely rude staff

Booked and paid for the use of this venue for our wedding. We were to use all of the hotel so we had paid for all of the rooms.  We were so excited because it is a gorgeous place. With less than 10 weeks to the actual day, we get a phone call from the receptionist (not the manager or owners) informing us that they had had a meeting and decided to cancel the contract. The receptionist told us that they were sorry and we'd be getting a full refund of all monies paid.  Great!! Their reason (which they eventually informed us by email after asking for a reason) was that their insurance for guests had changed from 60 people to 50. They didn't contact us to see if we could change our numbers -NO- they just cancelled.  My fiancée was devastated and in tears. Why would they care, it wasn't their wedding. We did get married in a better place. A blessing in disguise really.  So long story short - stay away from here.
