We were knocked out by the amazing welcome at this lovely B&B close to Loch Lomond. Tea, homemade scones and cakes were ready for our arrival and our host made us so welcome. The room was luxurious (Sanderson gold) and all facilities excellent. The setting was very special, great views and gentle rolling hills all around. Fantastic breakfast and great chats, what a treat of a place, made all the more special by the warmth and friendliness of our hosts. It was like a family retreat and a marvellous taste of Scottish hospitality, right down to the tartan carpet!

Thanks to Neil and Christine for a pleasant overnight stay. A welcome arrival treat was the offer of tea and cakes. A comfortable bedroom. Great breakfast selection. Didn't have time for fruit or cereal as we were chatting to our fellow guests when the hot food arrived. Great location for visiting local area

The couple managing this business really go the extra mile to make their guests feel welcome and are comfortable.
On arrival, we were served afternoon tea with cakes in an elegant China set. Our room was warm, spotless clean and the bed linen were ironed.
They really got it down to fine art. You could tell they take pride in running their business and they enjoy looking after their guests.
As for the breakfast in the morning, it was very special. A beautiful spread of cereal, fresh fruits, juice and yoghourt, cooked-breakfast, plenty of coffee, all served in a charming China set with silver plated cutlery. All served in the dining room overlooking the fields and the mountains.
The couple also make a point of having a chat with you to know a bit about you and to tell you about their family. We arrived as B&B guests and left as friends.
I wish them all the success in their business and in the future.
Hopefully we will return again soon.

Lovely place, very clean and tidy. Even got offered a cup of tea upon arrival by Neil the owner who is a funny character.  His wife Christine is a lovely lady, they both are very welcoming people. Great breakfast and very quiet area to stay.

We loved the "traditional look" of the place. We were looking forward to live the "scottish home experience" and certainly we did.  The house was all decorated on pure scottish style from old times. Breakfas was really exceptional for a bed and breakfast place. Personalised and with home made marmalades. Very impresive to find your breakfast table all set up in the morning with proper tableware. And all these with a huge glass window overlooking the countryside. Very quiet location also. Perfect for a relaxing break. Room was also very nice, good size and good beds. The owners Neil and Catherine did all they could to make us feel at home.

We at Blairglas on our way north to attend a wedding.  What a pleasant experience from start to finish.
The hosts could not have been more welcoming and the accommodation was delightfully comfortable. We met some lovely fellow guests in the morning over a beautifully delicious breakfast.

Lovely friendly couple .They welcomed us with tea and cakes which was just what we needed and the cakes were delicious. The beds we slept in (the family room) were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was clean and a good size. The breakfast was also delicious and the view from the window was beautiful, we even saw a red deer! Waking up to find a large spider creeping across the wall gave us a bit of a fright, but I guess that is to be expected in the countryside. Overall it was a very enjoyable overnight stop and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Very friendly B & B.

Neil and Christine are both very warm and friendly. The place is like straight out from a fairy tale story book. .. Quaint and cosy.
It is simple, however, provides only the bare minimum necessities.
Could do with some improvements in the toiletries provided, e.g. in one of the rooms was provided only a bottle of handwash for bath and handwashing and in another room only a bar of soap for bath and handwash.

Breakfast was freshly cooked and we were given the choice to select what we would like to eat, the night before. Breakfast provided was sufficient.

Friendly Scottish Couple

The welcome at Blairglas B & B was warm and extremely friendly with Neil offering us tea and cakes on arrival, which was much appreciated.  The bungalow looks very small from the outside but is a bit like Tardis when you go in and is quite a surprise.  This is obviously a family home with a small B & B business ticking over and is very 'homely' and lacking in finesse.  Our triple room was quite large with a double bed, a single bed and a settee which was a great bonus.  The furniture and decor is 'tired' looking but the beds were comfortable.  The 'garden view' advertised was a bit of a stretch of the imagination as we looked out onto a bit of a wilderness, but we weren't there for the view.  Breakfast was very good and freshly cooked (ordered the night before) and is taken at the communal dining table with other guests.  Our fellow guests were a couple of guys from Germany and it was interesting talking to them over breakfast (unbelievably, we bumped into them on the Isle of Skye a few days later - what were the chances ...??).  The view from the breakfast room made up for the lack of view from the bedroom, it's just beautiful.  The location of Blairglas is very good and just a few minutes drive from the beautiful village of Luss in one direction and Balloch in the other, and of course the amazing shores of Loch Lomond.  

All in all we enjoyed our stay at Blairglas and would certainly stay there again if we were passing through that way.  Thank you again to Neil and Christine for their hospitality.
