My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights earlier in the summer. The purpose of the stay was to see more of Harrogate and also to visit Skipton and York. Overall, we couldn't fault the hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the room (we chose a premium one for the slightly better amenities and higher floor) was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. The hotel is very well located and only a few minutes' walk from the town centre. The area is fine and even on my own I would have felt safe. The hotel itself is a typical Crowne Plaza, perhaps aimed more at business travellers, but as we were only using it as a base, it was perfect - we didn't need any more than accommodation and breakfast. We had paid for parking in our room rate, which I would recommend for ease (we just logged our car reg at reception and could come and go as we pleased). However, be aware that the car park (which is adjacent) is not great. It's quite tight and the spaces are small for modern cars. At the time we arrived there were few free spaces. Having said that, even after going out and coming back we were able to find a space. All in all an excellent stay and we will probably return.
