I stayed here recently with friends. We needed something local to lydney as we were attending an event at the local train station. It is no frills but very clean with very comfortable beds. It is run by a lovely family from Nepal . There is a Nepalese restaurant there which we didn’t try but the full English breakfast was great . I’d recommend it if you are after a reasonably priced place in the area. 

What a gem of a find. This hotel, whole the room decor was a bit " tired" was spotlessly clean and had a bath in the ensuite I could lie down in comfortably ( 6' 1" my height.)
Rooms are at the rear of the Inn so you are not disturbed by the A48 road.
Restaurant and bar are both excellent plenty of Gurkha memorabilia and portraits of Gurkha VC winners on the walls with descriptions of their acts of valour.
The food is second to none. We had Chicken Shashlik and Gurkha chicken curry. Both outstanding.
We intend to return and bring our lads along too ( this trip was oart of an anniversary tour)
The car park fence is engraved with the Gurkha regiment motto.
Breakfast was excellent you can pay to have more but I found the standard one bacon,sausage,egg,hash brown, mushrooms and beans to be quite enough......toast and strong filter coffee.
Fully reccomend this place to anyone. Family run, friendly people excellent value.

This is our go to single night stop over. They have space for two campervans in the carpark (which you need to book). Our favourite restaurant. Small garden beautifully kept, with picnic tables for your breaky, and this time views of a hunting bird of prey

Stayed here for one night only.
A little surprised when arriving as more like a restaurant than an Inn. Staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for you. Food was stunning and excellently priced.
Room was dated but full of character.
Views across the fields were to die for.
Would I recommend.?   Hell yes.

Just returned from a lovely week staying in the Netherend inn in Woolaston.  Great place  to stay, all mod cons  standard of accommodation is excellent.  Richard who owns the place and the pub which is a 2 minute walk away is so nice and very welcoming. We would definitely go back again.

We stayed here for a couple of nights and it was the best choice. The room was lovely, very comfortable bed, clean bathroom, no fridge but didn't need one. Tea and coffee in room plus toiletries etc. The food was amazing, they can really cook, really wish they were local. Very helpful staff.

Just stayed one night .
Don’t expect luxury re rooms .
Very clean but bathroom needed grouting seen too .
Very quiet good nights sleep .
Ate in the restaurant excellent .
 Very 
nice menu and very reasonable .
A bit out of Lydney to far to walk .
Gardens lovely but could not take advantage as it was raining .

What a lovely restaurant.
Food was excellent and generous portion sizes.
the staff are very attentive and knowledgeable.
It is worth booking in advance as it is very popular.
Easy to find and good parking.

If you enjoy Indian food then this takes it to another level.

Excellent food and service. Would thoroughly recommend going there.
We had a selection of food, and my wife recommended the fish curry.
Nan breads the best around.
Plenty of car parking , and we ate next to a nice wood burner,  as the weather was cold. 

Great food lovely attentive staff , no rush to finish and leave 
Very clean the food was so nice accommodating to our kids taste in foods so helpful , our waiters were so nice lovely experience , there  was no rush to eat up finished our meal at our leisure
