Sally has been a wonderful, understanding host, helping us rescue a 60th birthday weekend at very short notice after we were let down by another host . A fabulous house close to the sea in Gosport - beautiful garden, enough outside seating for everyone to enjoy the weather. Very comfy beds and top class bed linen . We had a brilliant stay as a group of 13 friends (a spacious kitchen/dining area, with everything we needed including glasses all set out for us, and a welcome bottle of bubbly!) the location is great with a short cut through the back gate to the seafront and local restaurant Pebbles was just perfect.

Excellent accomodation. A stone's throw from the beach and nice walks .Views of the Isle of Wight in a couple of the rooms. The facilities were all great too. 8 of us stayed here to celebrate 2 x 60th birthdays . The resident cat joined in too ! There was everything we needed for a very pleasant weekend break.

For the last 10 years with my sailing partner we have travelled to many sailing events, staying at various guest houses and hotels around England.  This is by far one of the best accommodations we have experienced, enjoying every minute of our four day stay.
A warm welcome from Sally and Steve including a refreshing cup of tea and scrumptious cake.  We encountered comfortable beds with tasteful decor and a very clean bathroom complete with a drench shower and to finish off, a breakfast of remarkable choice.
I cannot fault Windbrake House and without hesitation would recommend this establishment, I hope to return in the future.

This was a happy one night stay.    On arrival we were invited to sit outside in the sunshine and offered home-made Victoria sponge with strawberries and cream.    We had asked for twin beds and while we enjoyed our tea our hostess unzipped the double bed and re-made up the room with 2 beds.   The room had a separate bathroom and loo, with very smart fittings.    All very comfortable and lots of detail thought out.   Plenty of choice for breakfast and we can recommend the scrambled egg!    A charming hostess with much of interest to share.

We stayed for just one night, arriving late afternoon and leaving first thing the next morning. Upon arrival we were made to feel most welcome and were quickly ensconced in the garden enjoying delicious cake and fruit together with a welcome cold drink on a very hot day. Our room was delightful with a huge en-suite and a large bed and was a very pleasant place to be - far better than a soulless chain hotel. Breakfast was the full works and was superb. Overall the house is lovely as were our hosts and we would highly recommend Windbrake House to anyone who needs accommodation in the area.

Wow, outstanding,  we were a family group of 4 couples (1 baby) and arrived mid afternoon on a glorious hot June Thursday afternoon. The owner made us so welcome with tea, coffee, cake and soft drinks in the beautiful front garden. We sat there until it was time to go to our booked evening meal at a local fish restaurant. The bedrooms were fantastic, comfy beds, everything (and I seriously mean everything) you could need from perfume, bubble bath, toothpaste and cotton buds in the room. Our room had the most amazing bath and separate walk in shower. Breakfast was outstanding (both mornings) with all the fruit, cereal, drinks, toast and cooked items you could need.  
Wine glasses were washed and set out for us to re use on our return from the restaurant and the wedding the next day. Hospitality was amazing. Can’t thank you enough. What an amazing place to stay.
