We decided to splurge on one of our stays during our recent 15-day Scotland vacation. We stayed in the Heriot Suite for 2 nights. I have never experienced anything as luxurious as this! Service was outstanding! We had the included breakfast in the restaurant one morning and the next had the in-room breakfast set up for us prior to leaving for the airport. I highly recommend the in-room....it was outstanding! The hotel itself gives off castle/royalty vibes as well as a little mystery. The Suite was covered in tapestry, had throw pillows almost as big as the bed itself, a Dyson hair dryer, hair straightener, books to read, champagne every day (chilled on ice!) and more. Bathing was a bit awkward. This suite has a bathtub with a hand-held sprayer (no shower). We also had dinner there and it was one of our top 2 dinners during our trip. We arranged for private transfers to the airport and Robert, our driver, was almost like a tour guide! We enjoyed it very much. I don't know that we could afford to stay there again, but for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, we LOVED it.
